Yes... I thought that the
water was going to dissolve him and they were going to absorb him
, and even that was not as crazy as the thing that actually happened.
I'm not sure if I want them to find any more water. At least until they can get off the planet first, I'm not a fan of potentially having a city full of
bugs lol

How do I make skell fighting not suck so much? I can legit outdamage my skell by 500% on the ground. Outside of G-Buster it does fuck all. My dude can outdamage G-Buster and do it again 10s later.

What level are you? I've noticed something similar as I get closer to level 50. I presume it is just due to coming up on the next rank of skells.

53 atm but it's been true for a while now. The cooldowns in skells for the big attacks are too damn long and all the other attacks just tickle the enemy.

Do I need to buy skell armour or something? Outside of the increased health pool I'm much less effective in one. A lot of sitting on your hands involved when you're in a skell.

Wearing skell aromor would probably help, it has stats to make the skells stronger.

I just got hit with a debuff that makes my teammates and I aggro each other D: the hell?
Control most likely. Kill the mob that performed it quickly otherwise things will get nasty. Mastermind path has a nice selection of anti-debuff skills if you're struggling with a mob with it.

This game is completely amazing!
The one thing I wish for is to have online exploration of Mira. Similar to squad missions allow 4 people to team up but still allow you to go everywhere together. Would be so cool
Like finding a cool tyrant and being able to show a friends where it is

I currently do this through chat by telling them and doing it at the same time. But exploring with online people would just be so fun
I have grown to like the chat. If you find the right person to chat w it enhances the game a lot. Makes it more fun
I just wish they had party chat...
Still even with these minor flaws I plan adding another 100 hours to my already huge playtime of 140ish hours
This is the best game I've played in a long time

I bet if Monolith had designed the game from the start with online in mind this kinda thing would have been included. Seems almost too obvious, right? Must have been too much to shoehorn in mid-way through development though.

So I was playing the game today just fine and having fun, when I went into a fight with four of those flying flower indigens, in the middle of the battle, the game just froze, went to the loading screen and took me to the start menu.......anyone have this happen to them yet? im in chapter 3 doing the story quest where you first get Lao. Is it because there was so many things going on number wise? Kinda scared me. At first I thought it was the Wii U freezing, but the game restarted instantly which is weird.

any thoughts? Am I gonna have to be careful playing from now on?

Sucks that I dint get to save after like a hour and a half of play.

Hasn't happened to me. And I just finished a mission where there were like 6+ enemies aggroed on the screen at the same time with 3 mechs in the room lol.

The only thing I can say is to start saving more frequently.

It's doubtful the game is completely free from bugs.

Ever since I got my Skell, all I want to do is explore. :(

The frowny face is because I feel overleveled for a lot of the basic and affinity missions that are still lingering around. So while I'm off one-shotting some monster so-and-so wants to kill, I constantly wish I were hopping myself up some mountain in Noctilum or wherever. Ended up doing the full sweep through the rest of the probes in Noctilum and Oblivia (at least the ones without flight). And then started surveying Sylvalum for real because why the hell not. I am going to be sad when I run out of real estate.

These Xenoblade games haven't given me a thirst for exploration like this since the original Legend of Zelda. When I hear little rumblings about the upcoming Zelda game taking a few pages out of the Xenoblade book (in terms of scope), I say, "Yes please."

ill try to replicate the fight tomorrow again and see. either way I am having a blast with the game so far, taking it slow and easy with the story while doing side quests and affinity missions.

Love my class so far, damn fun being a Psycorruptor. I am about level 17, which I think is good enough to continue the story.

any tips I should know? Ive read that I should raise Gwins affinity quick for some reason....

Just get him to one heart and forget it, that's all you need from him.

Lol, a boss hit me with it. Then I immediately wiped my entire team XD

I think I will go get some debuffs though. We hit way too hard.

Can someone explain the multiplayer part of the game to me? I know you can "hire" NPC versions of peoples avatars but can you actually play with them instead of A.I. controlled ones?

Yes. You can do squad missions with people. If someone is recruiting it will pop up in the top left. Press - to join. Alternatively you can recruit from the terminal in the back of the barracks

Exploration is by far my favorite part of the game, so when I exhausted pretty much all of the probes available to me in the first four continents, I lost a lot of incentive and the experience became less engaging. Furthermore, as I leveled up more and more, the exhilarating sense of danger I perceived early game as I had to sneak around high level monsters diminished.

But then I started to explore Cauldros proper and it all came back tenfold.

This place is probably one of the most terrifying regions I've ever explored in a game... Reaching probes is a legit ordeal.

Holy shit some of these normal missions. This is unexpectedly one of the funnier games I've played.

Normal quests range from hilarious to heartbreaking. The sheer range of what XBCX is willing to tackle continually impresses me.
Finished Chapter 3. Loving the game quite a bit, but I met Tatsu and now I'm going to turn the game off and go to bed.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this rationpon.

the cooldown reset from switching weapons is definitely a lot more useful with Skells than on foot.
It works out nicely on foot still - depending on the class.

I tend to switch between weapons either back and forth or one goes twice b4 the switch. It's pretty fluent.

I wasn't a fan of her in Xenoblade at all, but Sarah Alainn's cover of Radical Dreamers on the To Far Away Times arrangement album kind of made me want to see her cover So nah, so fern - preferably with new lyrics. She's not exactly Joanne Hogg, but that'd have the potential to sound a little like the vocal themes from earlier Xeno- games.

...make Mira great again?

There are some things I like more about XC and some things I like more about X. XC felt more character driven while X feels more..."community driven" if that makes sense. I don't care for any individual character in X that much like I did for Shulk and the gang, but seeing the people of NLA grow and interact as a whole is really great.

The linear narrative approach gave XC a more consistent feel to it. I always felt motivated and interested in what was happening. In X things can go up or down depending on if I found a cool quest or area, but man the sense of exploration and discovery is taken to another level entirely.

So how do I beat the boss in Chapter 11? Salvaging my Skell is costing me a fortune. Do I just grind my character until they can take her on?

Does anyone has the layout for 100k miranium?

You can throw another storage probe into the linked group at the top left if you have one. There's at least two more than are shown here in the game. The main issue is finding all four duplicator probes and the booster probes.

Agree..The plot, characters and the story were way better in XC,something that I missed while playing X. Which is kinda surprising on a Xeno scale.I can't deny that the world is mesmerizing though..I enjoyed taking screen shots every time I fly..and speaking of flying.,.those mechs are the best in any rpg game so far..it added a lot of depth to the battle system..and just the whole idea about customizing them was addictive

Normal missions I'm assuming are the ones labelled with the question mark right? I haven't been doing too many of those so far.
Yeah, the ones out in the world with red question marks. You get directed to some of them via the BLADE mission terminal, but others are purely up to you to find. As opposed to single-step basic missions, normal missions have step-by-step objectives similar to Affinity and Story missions.

Some normal missions are very interesting, indeed. And all of them flesh out the world--definitely worth seeing.

Cool. I've done a couple, but didn't realize they were anything special. Will go out of my way to do both normal and affinity between chapters, especially since I need some levels before I can start chapter 8.

I'm super shit at this probe thing and can't even get to 30000. Any help reaching for 70000? I'm thinking of getting the flight module first so I can scout for more sightseeing spots.

For storage or cash? For storage, just see above.

For cash: Duplicator probes with a Research probe next to them and a booster probe next to them will have the following effects: Duplicate probe gets the effect of the research probe and the boost probe, any surrounding probes to the Duplicate probe will get the effect of the booster probe. So a duplicate probe next to two booster probes and two research probes would result in the equivalent of four double boosted research probes, with two of those on the same spot.

There are a couple spots in the game where you can surround a duplicator probe with two booster probes and two research probes. Keep in mind that research probes boost cash flow for each found sightseeing spot around a probe, so place the duplicator probe on one with two found and try to place research probes on any surrounding probes with one sightseeing spot found. Toward the end of the game (after getting the flight module) I was making over 380K per tick. You don't really need mirinium until the post-game anyway, so it's best to use your duplicator and booster probes to up your cash flow until cash ceases to matter in the post game. Chaining research probes, unlike chaining booster or mining probes, is almost entirely useless because duplicator probes between research probes will make you more money.

The best locations to do this in are Oblivia and Cauldros, which both have ways to set up the scenario described above. Noctilum also works, but not quite as well so put any leftover money making probes here after the other two areas are done. Sylvalum is best used to keep your storage probes, Primordia for one big chain of mining nodes if you're having trouble keeping your Skells fueled for some reason. I'd recommend getting the level 5 mechanical skill as soon as possible so that you can take care of any remaining probe placement on your map. You can do this sooner than you might expect given the difficulty level posted on the board, the hardest thing in it is killing a kind of weak Tyrant that should fall easily to a level 50 Skell.
