Probably not. Rule of thumb seems to be that content that directly affects gameplay will be earnable with fight money, but cosmetic items can be zenny-only at Capcom's discretion.

Well, that sucks. I hope we can at least buy them separately somewhere down the line. I don't wanna buy all the costumes, just Cammy's and maybe Chun-Li's/

How do I deal with Nash's V-Trigger being used defensively? I always try to react and block on reaction, but for some reason I find it much harder to block teleports on reaction in this game than in 4.

you lose 60 lp per win in super bronze?

Yeah, if the person who beats you is the same rank or lower. I think this could do with some tweaking, because at the moment it seems to be creating a kind of wall at the bronze/super bronze boundary. The majority of players seem to be around that level at the moment, which means that you'll likely get matched against lots of players who are much worse than you or much better than you, as well as ones around your level.

Yes, this means that the good players are separated into the higher tiers nicely, but it also means that too high a percentage of players are in exactly the same bracket. When there are 11 ranks, I think the players could be spread better.

Sorry I can't respond to everyone that quoted me but seriously thank you guys for all your comments. Probably would've stopped a long time ago if it wasn't for all the positive feedback :D
Can you make a promise, here and now, to do the same thing with Nash and Guile when Guile is released?
Absolutely. :)

That's even more amazing!
You should tweet this at Ono ;)
Thanks! I'll think about it, heh.
Fang and Bison pls. Fang can be mika lol
I need a Vega Mika with Bison as his partner. Oh my.
I'll try doing Bison as Mika next... to get the butt slap animation that someone else requested too. But I'm not sure how well Bison will translate to Mika's skeleton as he's quite a bit bigger. Ah, we'll see.

Uh, you are aware that people actually can cause the other player to lag out on command if they're using the PC version, right? Doesn't even require a lag switch or any network filtering rules or the like. It's likely due to a flaw in how the game handles sync between the two players.

I am aware, I tend to have more faith in humanity than that

Wow, stage fucking 30 of survival is a massive difficulty spike. I wasted twenty minutes to get absolutely stomped by the cpu. Fuck Capcom.

Imagine that happening three times in a row and you have my Saturday

So far, only the "premium costumes" have been certified as zenny-only. It doesn't mean that those pre-order outfits or future alternate outfits are also zenny-only.

That kind of sounds to me like the ranking system is working as intended , most players should be of "average level" which would imply bronze. The better players in bronze should be able to beat the worse players in bronze often enough to send them to silver and if they lose to a silver player , well they get sent back to bronze again. Ideally you want to have super close matches constantly to keep the game entertaining. If you win too often the game levels you up and pushes you to fight harder opponents , lose too often and it sends you down to easier opponents. SFV has only been out fully for 12 days now , I'd say give it until March 16th and , if you're playing a little bit daily - you should end up in an appropriate bracket.

Finally got me a new stick after my old one broke. Even though the stick is on the cheaper end it is easily customisable allowing you to swap buttons/sticks and faceplate art with relative ease. Now i can get back to being bodied online.

I just finished Mika's survival on normal. Feels good! I'm not even going to attempt hard or hell. Hell I don't think I want to do other characters on normal. Maybe I'll casually try Ryu and Ken later but thats about it.

Quit on somebody for the first time towards the end of round 1. UK is a small place, you shouldn't be teleporting all over my screen!

I'd argue that there's little point in having 11 brackets if 95% of players are in the same one, and given the ranking difference between bronze and ultra bronze, that could literally be the amount in bronze/super bronze. The loss penalties become too severe too quickly, especially when you have no choice in who you're matched up against, and you take a severe hit to your win points if you beat someone in bronze (who may only be a few LP lower than you). On the other hand, AFAIK you don't get a commensurate big points bonus for beating people in ultra bronze or silver.

Yeah after you reach super bronze i noticed you always lose 55-65 points even if your opponent have 1k+ lp on you. You also gain back 55-65. atmost 75 if you opponent level is way higher. So losing is severely punished after super bronze.

Man fuck this matchmaking. I am constantly playing against 5 bar people and everything is just complete and utter teleporting garbage. Like, in sf iv at least when you fought a 5 bar player you knew the connection was gonna be decent. In sf v it is some stupid gamble even when you only accept 5 bars.

I am starting to get really frustrated with their terrible ping estimates.

Having tested this with friends, it doesn't create lag on command. It did nothing at all, actually. Taking what Mike Z has said into account, the game would need to already have an unfair desync on the PC player's end to be able to transfer it.

I wish digital foundry or some other well known technical site would do some testing of their own so we can have a definitive say on this matter.
