New Nintendo Direct upcoming Live on September 1st at 16:00 CEST for 3DS

Remember Nintendo always said "This Fall we'll speak more of the NX" so late-September is definitely possible. Maybe even October.
No they didn't, maybe one source said that once(Nintendo of Canada???) but I don't remember anything else from Nintendo mentioning anything but this year or later this year.

3DS news? Seriously? NX should be your only focus. Jesus.
The 3DS kinda needs its send-off Direct, so it makes sense to get the last of the 3DS news out of the way. Plus Sun/Moon may serve as the 3DS's swan song come November.

Gold/Silver/Crystal hitting up the VC? :D

People disappointed about no NX. I admit I was too initially (how could any other be the case with that title lol) but after the Galaxy 3DS yesterday I really didn't count on anything else revealed this week at all, so having a Direct, even if NX free, is most welcome. Plus this means they get all the 3DS (and likely Wii U) news out of the way for a later September reveal for NX.

All Nintendo needs to do to plug the salt mines is announce a timeframe for the reveal, say "early October" or "late September" or something. Them being so damn coy about the thing just makes them seem clueless.

this thread (the non salty posts at least) made me realize once again how many upcoming games the 3ds still has (and their might be even new ones too....)
that's quite remarkable for a Nintendo system in it's 6th year.

Sony needs to takes notes... Vita is a sad device.

I could not be less excited for this Nintendo Direct, after they mentioned it was for 3DS only.

Will not watch.

Wow, the desperation for NX news is real. I didn't think people were this anxious about it - have some patience guys.

People were expecting this thing last E3 lol. There's no stopping the anxiety train.

Man. Some of you guys are really impatient.

Maybe Nintendo is waiting for PS to announce there Neo? I mean it suppose to happen soon right?

They'd be less impatient if the Wii U wasn't dead and buried.

Not to mention the longer this thing doesn't get announced the more rumblings start popping up about a delay. Imagine no Zelda until holiday 2017.

Ah well, we'll see. This announcement was hilarious though, considering the context.

my expectations are set

most likely:

Dragon Ball Fusion
dragon quest 7/8
pokemon sun/moon
Ace attorney 6

Unlikely:

Culdcept Revolt (?) - DO IT!!!!
Mario galaxy n3ds
etrian 5 (?)
Picross 3D 2
the great Ace Attorney
Monster Hunter stories

(europe exclusive:)
Rhythm Heaven
Metroid Prime fed.force
7th dragon
SMT4 final
They're not going to spend more than 30 seconds on Federation Force unless there's some sort of update, which would put it in the WW timetable.

My thoughts as well. March is still far away (assuming no more delays in NX releasing) and Nintendo still needs the 3DS to carry it through the holiday. NX info is still coming soon I assume. Rough crowd around here.

Why on earth would Regie announce the Galaxy 3DS when they hold a Direct 3 days later? Makes no sense.

Mario Galaxy remaster on 3DS is my unrealistic dream here.

You're right, though--it's bizarre that this wasn't held until Thursday.

Some of you all are really thirst for NX info. At this rate I expect the actual Direct thread to gain 50 pages at the end complaining about how Nintendo blew their big chance to reveal new info when none shows up.

I guess it makes sense to only talk about products currently on market as they're getting ready for the holiday quarter starting next month. Need a more focused message for consumers.

Maybe they really won't talk about NX until January.

Ahh yeah that's right, I got it mixed up with Nintendo of Canada claiming Falll 2016 and the Investors' Relations Meeting.

Atleast they specified it's 3DS only.

No clue what they could be showing aside from more Dragon Quest/Pokemon stuff tho.

Any chance this is new 3DS hardware? I need a new one to replace my OG one that was just stolen.

At this point? It would seem downright silly. But there's that fugly Galaxy Style 3DS if you really want one.

Something is up.

Yep. Their marketing department has totally lost it, and apparently no one at the company, Reggie included, has noticed.

At least we'll finally know whether or not the EU release of Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy was quietly cancelled

Expect a very bitchy thread from me if so

My list of already-known stuff that could appear in the direct.

This is a 3DS-focused Direct. Even getting an announcement for when the NX reveal will go down would be a miracle in of itself.

The verbiage is that it's EXCLUSIVELY focused on 3DS. Chances of Wii U or NX info are next to none.

Can you imagine how good that game would look in 3D?

Seriously, and think about it: Nintendo's remasters have sold well. Wind Waker HD, Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D, etc. It isn't out of the question that they'd have commissioned another remaster for this holiday season. Mario Galaxy would be a great game to choose.
