In my head Questlove is actually playing these people off. Like, he's got his drum set backstage and just starts going to town.

Bollywood does it better
Lmao.

Bruh, no Hindi movie in the past 10 years has done it as well as La La Land.

It's no coincidence the best Hindi movies are those that aren't as out and out musicals. Delhi Belly, The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, etc.

Granted you can make an argument about it being an imposed Eurocentric view of cinema that discredits musicals, but I can't remember the last time a Bollywood musical genuinely impressed me as much as La La Land.

Brad Pitt needs to make more movies like fight club and Seven now that he's away from Angie and the kids.

Also Emma Watson can't act holy cow.

It's been like 6 years since I've seen Om Shanti Om but I totally remember it being incredible

I might get some shit for this but....did anyone else think Moonlight is kinda like Boyhood?

Ok who told La La Land they get to go on this whole "outsider long shot audacious production" angle.

The whole thing is a project in Hollywood self-felating and ego-tripping. The sweep surprises nobody. Goofballs.

Moonlight wins Best Picture or we post about our dissatisfaction with the result of a highly suspect award show on an online video game discussion forum.

Can go anyway on Best Actor. Amy Adams for Best Actresses would be nice, but it'llbe Natalie Portman.

I'm late to the thread. Any mentions of cringing or falling asleep while watching La La Land yet?

Honestly, it's better than potential Moonlight backlash, which so far can be summed up as white straight guys and gals not "getting" it.

The 7 awards by LLL is the most a film has gotten in Golden Globes history.

It had the right set up. Competition in the Comedy/Musical acting and film categories are sort of a joke in most years, and musicals can actually win the two music awards.
