So from skimming over the reviews, it seems that the concensous is that its an amazing game, but riddled with bugs, and some reviews are marking it down because of those bugs, while some reviews are basically ignoring the bugs and marking it for the game it is, or will be after the bugs are fixed?.
Dont know which angle i prefer, but anyway the game seems to be great overall.

Hey guys! Am new here bc the other forum kinda annoyed me af and that says much bc im mostly just a lurker but sheeesh. Tf. Cant even read some nice posts in peace without getting bashed by random avatars that want to make everyone feel bad abt playing this game.

Anyway!

Gamestar (german) posted a nice rewiew and gave it a 91 since some gamplay features may not be for everyone but overall they think its one of the best.

One guy who self admittedly doesnt like "hype games" and didnt play TLOU 2 or even RDR2 yet had this to say:

Cyberpunk 2077 couldn't have had a harder time capturing my heart. And now I'll have a closer look: As soon as this test ends, I'll sleep through the day for a day - and then start a second round of the game. Because I love Cyberpunk 2077. So. I said it. CD Projekt Cyberpunk-Epos gets the highest rating from me that I have personally ever given in my GameStar career. Because I actually only pull out the platinum award if I can really recommend a game without reservation.

And I can. Yes, Cyberpunk 2077 sometimes plays bumpy, the loot system is annoying, stealth has been smoother - but I am absolutely convinced that if you embark on this adventure, you will sit there after the credits and whisper a "wow" into you . So not World of Warcraft, the other "Wow". Cyberpunk 2077 burns itself into your head like a biochip, it echoes in your memory, in your imagination, you want to talk about it all the time.

For me, video games are always the most magical when they tear people out of their routine, move them, surprise them, take them on a virtual trip that they can't get anywhere in the real world. Cyberpunk doesn't give a damn about open world stuff, storytelling off the shelf, soulless popcorn spectacle - it exceeds my expectations in every second quest, surprises me, provokes me, doesn't care about comfort. It shows how games can be too.

It has AO and GI, and a very well one at that. It's just hard to have perfect lighting in a full open world title using pre-baked light maps and that is where Raytracing excels.

I don't expect "perfect lighting" ofc but it looks like tons of graphics are missing to me, its not just a few items, basically everything in the whole scene looks lifeless and flat in a way that other open world games with RTX don't. I'd like to see more footage before I make a final decision but thats not good imo.

For avoidance of doubt.

No reviewer has played the version of the game that we will play on day 1

The version we will play will include the day 1 patch , that nobody has played yet, and has been the reason for 2 delays.

The version of the game that reviewers have played is the game at a standard that CDPR didn’t see fit to release to the general public.

There will be improvements, you do not delay a game twice if you can get away with not doing.

91% without those Improvements is monstrous.

That's what i thought, but what about this:

after the reviews, i just pre-ordered the game.
92 even with the bug mess, really good.
But I will wait the bugs to be fixed before I play.

Stop spreading this fake news

I am not sure even reviewers know what a day 1 patch is. Apparently there was a 43Gb patch but it may not be the last one before the game officially is available on the 10th.
It's a bit crazy that the game is in such a state but also they had almost a year of delay - the ambition is clearly huge from the studio.

I'm happy to see good reviews, I hope that the team that crunched so hard made a product of a lifetime and gets deserved rest and bonuses they were promised. Took 2 days off, will have to make a pause in my AC Valhalla playthrough but oh-so-ready!

ALSO: So there's no official review thread on ERA to continue watchting the meltdown? Only the one with trans-issues? I guess that'll do. (trans rights are important, just not the reee kind of insanity)

I think the criticisms of representation are valid, be it gender or race, but I don't think it should be the deciding factor in the game's review. People aren't buying this game to see how certain groups are represented, they just want to know how the RPG experience is. I think the game is pretty juvenile and immature when it comes to the representation, but maybe that was the intention. It's difficult to know with CDPR. Aside from that, this looks like a solid game overall.

You just wholly fabricated some vast conspiracy filled with secretive corporate meetings and roadmap pivots based on your interpretation of 1 or 2 reviews and the paper tiger 'left' that's surely ruining EVERYTHING in your life.

I'm sure the CDPR execs are panicking at their 90 on MC and 91 on OC.
Resetera is that way sir/madame/mam/xir or whatever the fck you want to be called.

Guys guys guys, check out the review thread on Era. They're only allowing negative reviews and it's fucking hilarious. Maybe I'm getting too old ( I'm 27 jesus fucking Christ) but this is world is starting to scare me
The review thread there is like the one here... 10/10 first... 7-6/10 bottom.
I really didn't see any issue there.

This can't be real.
I don't believe it is real.

Buy on PC now, then double dip on console when the patches hit next year.
I don't have a PC that can run this... I am not a Playstation owner. Reading various forums over the years, it seems that they are the only console gamers that do.

For anyone interested, they've sent the game with "denuvo" integrated which of course will be removed on release.

Holy moly, even without looking for RT Reflections, the difference with RTX is staggering. Everything looks much more grounded and believable.
Kinda looks like shit tbh, did they forget to turn on AO in the off picture? Ffs we've had HBAO+ for years, it's way better than that. No GI either?? Fookin' 'ell, gonna have to reshade this bitch won't I at least until the patch hits and I can turn on that RTDI. These fuckers...

Fuck the mods on Reset Era, are they really play games? I remember someone got banned by literally saying "I just want to discuss games here".

I think the way to counter that is to say "okay lets talk seriously about gender for hours" and you start bringing out all these scientific journals and data sets to back up what you're going to say and they just have a postit note with "CIS BAHD, TRANS GUD" written on it.

There are still +70 reviews to come after launch btw so the current score can and will change.

Yeah that game got destroyed for other reasons
The point is, reviewers didn’t shy away from calling the game out for being a buggy mess, the quality of the game shouldn’t dictate it.

Why do those Resetera hate this game?

I mean this game have fukin genitals cutomization to appease trans people, imagine that

Isnt that what they always dream of ?

If thats still not good enough they can kindly feck off and make their own transmania game

From what the Jeffs said:

-interesting merging of a Deux Ex/GTA/Fallout style game, right down to every mission seeming to have an option for whatever your spec is
-still quite janky and Gerstmann avoids cars because the FPS takes a huge hit
-dialogue is a little unnatural, almost like auto-translated at some point
-story is good enough to keep them interested
-lots of dildos everywhere for some reason

Sounds like it's a good idea to manage expectations but it's fun. My preload just started.

Nah, the game has nice AO and GI, it is evident in many screenshots without RTX and even in the console footage. It's just that its hard to have perfect GI and AO everywhere in a giant open world, that's the negative of pre-baking light. It happens automatically with RTX so every possible scene is perfectly lit.

Even if it settles at 90 MC. That is amazing. I am pretty sure some of the reviewers are trying to please that other hateful market because probably they get most of their views from them.

"Cyberpunk 2077 reviews that highlight the transphobia issues"

OMFG

It's like the only AAA video game I've ever seen which allows the player to create chicks-with-dicks. Yet we're in a weird alternate reality where there see this as a product of "transphobes".

Okay.
