Seems rational and logical thinking is lost on some people. There's definitely been a slew of articles recently that questioned Sony's decisions and direction. While some may find that questionable... The overwhelming outrage at those articles merely existing is equally questionable.
It's easy to tell if these reports are fud, or actual points that merit consideration. Are the things being claimed as facts actually true, or not? Do the people who are making these claims tend to be accurate and reliable?
Jason Schrier articles have been posted here as well as other gaming forums for years. Prior to his last piece, the general consensus seemed to be that he tended to be focused in regards to workplace practices such as crunch and harrassment. While some thought him perhaps a little too "woke" for their liking, overall he seemed to have a pretty good track record as far as his sources, and accuracy goes. With Jason Schrier often pretending things were a bigger deal than they often times were, I can't recall him ever making provably false claims. While I'm just mentioning Schrier, the same would apply to basically any public person doing similar.
So are the things being written/said recently about Sony and Playstation accurate? Is there credible evidence suggesting it either is or isn't?
If the things being said regarding Sony are based on truth, then the people claiming it's a hit job, MS paid shills, whatever conspiracy theory, etc... are nothing more than blind fanboys that simply aren't mature enough to be able to handle criticism in any form. Even if said criticism is about their favorite brand or company.
If the things being said about Sony is baseless speculation, or outright false... Then there may very well be something to the conspiracy theories. If the claims are easily proven false. Typically the topic doesn't garner much attention. If it does, it doesn't last long and it certainly doesn't result in others following suit with their own articles or videos. As the adage goes... If there's smoke, there's usually a fire.
Taking all that into account, it's obvious some people here are following and/or creating a narrative that goes along with their biased opinions and preferences. Some of them will use any excuse to paint the opposing console in a bad light, even if that includes making accusations with no evidence to support it. At this point, there's no telling how low they'll go.
The other people here are just wondering why Sony has made some of the decisions they have as of late, and are just honestly questioning if it benefits them or not.
