Hmmm. It's amazing that Unreal Engine can produce that almost out of the box, and the game looks like it could be nonsense-chaos fun. I like what I see and think it could be fun.

...That all said, does anybody else feel like this is a "Baby's First Unreal Game" project? 🐣

Unless I'm reading wrong, it appears to be stock assets/technology, plus a gameplay concept that can be built quickly without a lot of custom design. Boot up UE5 Preview, download a bunch of UE Marketplace assets, turn on Lumen and Nanite, turn on Chaos physics, plug in Unreal EOS for networked gameplay, and set Start/End points on your map to form a basic game.

I mean, the developer has done two months development, and if you read the comments and Discord, there's not a lot he knows about the UE5 roadmap beyond what's in the Early Access build (he's not even sure what the status of console deployment is, yet he's announcing for PS5 and XSX as an unpublished independent developer?) I could be rushing to judgment over his skills (and whatever the case, the fact that UE5 can do this practically out of the box is staggering,) but I'm hesitant about this one. Hopefully it defies my concerns and turns out as good as it looks.

Visually looks amazing, though I imagine that between the visuals and physics it will be quite taxing hardware wise. These games usually thrive on being able to run on a potato

I may be crazy but this is the first time i see actual next gen graphics that wow'd me(after Unreal Engine showcase). Looks spectacular, can't wait to play it. Can't wait to see more what UE5 is capable of

These kinds of materials are always the first to get a massive boost from any kind of improved lighting solution; looks nice, though the gameplay looks pretty slow.

WOW! The lighting is crazy. It really makes the game look like something that exists in the real world.

The frame rate it a bit all over the place, but there's still time to optimise.

Not big on the style but the rendering quality and realism is maybe the best I've seen in a production game. UE5 is going to be a beast. Extremely cool to see.

Bit of arcade fun in between though-provoking masterpieces.

If you had Fallguys, this and a shooter like Splitgate.....you'd be pretty set for things to play in small stints between longer games.

You're not crazy, this is what games are supposed to look like from 2021 and onwards. And it's pathetic this little game is what's wowing us today :(

That shit looks insanely good!

I'll be trying it out for that alone. Also the combination of Fall Guys and Rocket League sounds like it could be fun.
