Well, I'm caught up for now as I'm on my break from work but it is very interesting to see certain users that obviously burn the bridges here going to another forum and I'm not sure what the count is nor do I have time to even bother checking but certainly there are people who have been soured by The experience over there probably wouldn't mind being back here if only because this place isn't so damn bad in hindsight.
But this is the way of the world and people that think like that on that forum, and it's not all of them to be sure, they are a major part of the problem and the more that vocal minority swells the more this world will be the shit show that it's turning into.
I remember when I left here and I don't recall saying anything bad to anybody but hey whatever somebody can look up my post history and see the long disparity of posts between sometime this year and three or four years ago but obviously I wasn't banned so obviously I didn't burn any Bridges nor did I care to but to be honest with you what has happened over there I would definitely gladly burn that bridge because the way that form is going versus this one here that is still thriving, there's nothing redeeming about that that wouldn't be popping up in another place anyways.
As far as I am concerned places like that or a dime a dozen with people of similar like-minded short-sightedness just desperate to be agreed with and oppress people that just want to have fun, work hard, have a disagreement here and there in a respectful manner, and a respectful take heaven forbid even if it doesn't agree with the other person's point of view.
So even if the rose tinted glasses over there or if there is even lurkers here reading this, you should very well be aware that no matter what you think of this particular place here, I promise you your view of the world is not justified by liking the way it is run on that other forum because you see now that even the leadership has gone over the edge and absolutely has squandered any faith in my view of what a good community should be.
I get that even in the worst times around here when whatever happened to cause turmoil, none of this type of mentality and types of stuff was that prominent and if there was, those people were dispatched with.

Well. there's a reason this place is growing and Reset is shrinking. They will say all the bigots, nazi's are coming to this site. But in all honesty there literally are trans meet up threads, communities still here on gaf. Safe spaces for people to come out, talk, unite and still be able to have level headed discussions if someone wanted to know more or is out of the loop.
But those threads and the people who moderate here dont take a stance on either side. They allow fair speech, as long as its respectful and not hurtful in intent. So what if this place doesn't have all the leakers? Seeing whats happening at Netflix and now Apple, seems to be a snowball effect. Event Disney is starting to come around. The woke screaming through the screen mobs are finally seeing that forums/apps/virtual social spaces are not real places.
Things dont get done in fake places where theres no skin in the game. And now those so called activists are literally getting themselves fired for leaking sensitive company information which is illegal, especially if it has nothing to do with any kind of wrong doing. Like if the material was proof of sexual harrassment or some kind of heinous wrong doing within the company, there are lawas that protect the person/whistleblower.
But when they leak how much someone makes for no damn reason and that person who leaked it said info is not affiliated with the people of said contract, it is considered a breach in security of both said parties. Which is what happened to netflix and now Apple. They literally sabotaged their own fucking movement. And now are crying that these companies are evil/misogynist pieces of shit. Yet Netflix literally is out of all of them the oldest company supporting inclusiveness like with them having orange is the new black. Literally put women of color, minorities on the map and made Laverne Cox a household name. She now is in tons of shows and films.
This is what not to rant again, Chappelle was talking about in his special. Literally the movement has won? They have covered more ground in less time compared to Black rights. It's insane, but want to silence discussions because people "on the fucking internet" need a safe place to ....feel safe? I think to me thats a red flag on something else going on within yourself if you need virtual safe places to feel accepted and safe.

Games have an obligation to help us explore what it means to share a lived experience with spiders in a safe setting so that we can increase our empathy towards an arachnid's truth. Just because they have 8 legs and dozens of eyeballs doesn't mean that they don't have 1 heart. Spider representation has never been more important than today. Spiders also grow up without solid role models all the time.
