But like any website, you'll have spam bots, alts, and banned users all part of the count. Even a banned profile with 1 spam post can technically count as a member I think. But I don't know. Maybe the site is transparent enough to show only active users.

Let me try to explain.

Imagine if you have fear to driving so you will ask to remove cars from Gran Turismo? Fear of dark? Remove all the dark scenes from games.

I agree that games should say at description what it has that can cause some issues (like spiders) but the game should be the game and not have something disabled because somebody can’t play it.

If you have fear of spider you need to avoid spiders… so avoid games with spiders.

The issue is that games doesn’t tell you in description and not that it doesn’t have a “option” to remove a feature lol

If you will carter and remove every phobia in the world then you will have no game at all.

I'm gonna hard disagree with that assessment.

Spiders are in a lot of games from Dark Souls to Diablo to Skyrim. However they are rarely a defining feature of the game, they are usually an enemy or a specifically designed creepy encounter. I am not saying all games should remove spiders but I can say (with my mild arachnophobia) Skyrim is a much more pleasant game when these enemies are changed to bears by a mod (the popularity of spider-bear mod should tell you all you need to know about it being a nice thing to do). And it's not like it lessens the experience of playing the game.

I think a lot of people have a much stronger phobia as mine and it's not that uncommon so I definitely see how it brings value to have an option like that. Why would you advocate for cutting them off from experiences in RPG or action game spaces that may have 1-2 spider enemies?

Your examples of a driving game makes no sense because in driving games driving is the core mechanic. You buy the game to drive cars.
You're not going to remove jump scares from a horror game.

But nobody don't buy a game specifically to fight spiders. I am not saying there should always be such an option - if you buy Bloodborne you should know you're going to see some very creepy monster design, but in games where spiders are just a type of enemy devs giving a damn about such an option is a very nice gesture. It allows more people to enjoy the actual core of the game instead of driving them away with a pointless "just don't buy it" attitude.

They've been ignoring almost everything all day. Not a lot of mod responses like there were yesterday. Nep is probably getting a scheduled flea bath. Cerium is still sleeping. Everyone else is just volunteering so they probably didn't notice it yet. I'm sure they'll answer the questions as soon as they're able.

I think this all started last night. There's so many posts I had to find one and keep backtracking to the replied to post until I found this one last night after dinner where ex-mod started it off with some white dude Cracker comment. From there, she and Breakfuss went at it. And then KJack interjected himself into the discussion "as a Black man I'm getting involved", and some users would defend the post as it's ok if some Cracker shots are said against white people because it's not as bad as a joke against minorities.

As as you can see Morrigan even brings up that Black chick agitator mod Nepenthe who likes to dish it out to users.

From there, it's morphed into some users wanting mods to explain themselves in which last couple hours they all disappeared except Poodle talking off topic stuff like account deletion protocols and other boring shit.

If they’re championing for all-invlusive environment that’s safe from racism, all racial slurs shouldn’t be allowed. Racism is racism. To me, the context or lack of context is only part of the issue. Someone saying something as serious or as an /S joke can provide context of the joke itself.

But something more deep rooted like Morrigan's (and other users and mod's views) saying things like Cracker should be ok because "don't worry White people you cant be that fragile" goes to show the totally blatant pot shots they want to do at the expense of White people with the reason being it's fair game because somehow they are all stereotyped as rich people who can afford to take a jab or two as they drive their Mercedes.

Thats the kind of flexibility and latitude low lifes hope they get so they can take shots at people and then fall back on the "But I'm a special needs group and you're so big and powerful please gimme a break so I feel better."
