I have witnessed projects with teams where every single member was incredible incompetent yet they where true masters in presenting things in a way that made things look working and earn praise. Man I can only image how those dudes made carefully scripted demos and presentation to R* excess and now we have this turd which even infringes copyright of others, wow.

Some dude went there, added some subdivisions, slightly extruded all faces to make it look organic and bam here is your remaster, work done! But now you have broken bone weights along the mesh which causes those "extra" joints issues. This is literally some Fiverr shit work by some 3rd world kid learning blender on youtube.

Kinda gave up and went with the definitive edition mods on steam. Lookin' good so far. That's one way to save 60$ I guess. Maybe in a few months if they patch them properly, I'll get these too.

Yeah, I think it's the other way around. All the haters should really try playing the PS2 versions and then the DE versions - like, we use the right stick to control the "camera" today - in 2001 - not so much... Plus it's a 20-30fps slideshow across the board on all original games. The DE loses frames and it's annoying, but still way more playable than that old crap.

They censored a few things, they also added stuff like pride flags to the game, but let's be honest - this is the least of the problems with these ports.

I kept searching so long for PC version. Steam, Epic store, google. Nothing told me any way of buying it on PC. Finally this thread let me know that I needed their shitty launcher. Couldnt even see the price before downloading and installing that crap. WTF rockstar.

Honestly I couldn't care about having to use their launcher if the game wasn't such hot garbage. I'm usually a sucker who still buys broken trash. But gonna try and put my foot down on this one...not that it will make a difference I bet.

True. Even the PC versions on steam, though much better than the old consoles, have tons of serious issues that affect enjoyment unless you mod them.

This thing is priced at £49.99 on Switch right now, more than BOTW and Smash at £47.99, and every other Nintendo first party game (£34.99 to £39.99).

You just have to laugh at the utter contempt and disrespect from Rockstar, not just for Nintendo Switch owners, but towards fans of their own games.

If the internet were established, like it is today, when the original trilogy came out - I'd like to see the memes made on those, cause bloody hell - there were a lot of weird bugs! People seem to forget. With at trilogy made in UE4 we at least have versions that are easily patchable and modable.

Used to play GTAIV modded out the ass. Funny, thats basically what people are buying and hyped for is what I would consider nothing but a mod.

It looks so bad that I can't see characters in most cutscenes. Also the rain effects look terrible in this game. Literally looks like some Snapchat filter.

Graphics aside, even with the "updated aiming", overall gameplay has not aged well. Still gonna dig deeper to see how later missions look and feel.

can't understand they negativity . tried play all 3 before knew this was getting released and struggled with graphics , control and save scheme . hell it's been a pain on 4 now on ps3

anyways started SA on game pass and it's a blast

Seems like the door bug could have been already in the original game. Still annoying, it has happened to me three damn times. Never noticed it when I finished the PS2 and XBOX versions back in the day.

I guess DE is nothing more than the good old Renderware all over again.
