These things have been around for long enough throughout the entire industry now that this is hardly something that can be excused.Lots of games launch with slow ass progression and it usually gets fixed.
Seems like a choosing beggars situation man idk. I'm just happy they released it early and it's seemingly awesome! These things have been around for long enough throughout the entire industry now that this is hardly something that can be excused.
I know they said they might change it further down the line or evaluate their options, but this is pretty inexcusable when these have been done so much better for years now.

Just to give an opposing opinion, I don't like Halo Infinite MP, the slower pace just doesn't click with me tbh. Call of Duty is more to my liking and I'm loving Vanguard.
The MP is awesome, the progression is not tho. He is sadly right on this one.
No offense, but this looks like a college grads passion project compared to Vanguard. Progression, graphics, weapon handling, level design. They're not in the same league. Mind you, this is coming from someone who has adored the Halo franchise, but no amount of rose colored tinting can mask the fact that modern FPSs are 15 years ahead of this. That's not to say you wont have fun with it, but more as a nostalgia trip back to when you used to use tunneling software to play bootleg LAN games with your mates on Halo 1.
I think PC optimization is pretty bad. The game is melting my CPU even at 30 FPS in a small map. How the heck does this run on a base Xbox one? Game looks good/decent even at low settings though.
Is it giving you the blue screen? I had to update the game before it would launch beyond that.Shit... everyone is playing and my PC can't even open the game, it's not even my specs because I have a friend with less powerful PC than mine running it all day
So is the only way you can complete all the weekly challenges is by buying the battle pass or the Premium Battle Pass just unlocks a extra slot?
If I remember correctly, premium pass gives you 20 levels with the pass. Not sure about the other question.
Premium Battle Pass is just the normal battle pass for $10. The Premium Battle Pass Bundle unlocks like 20 levels but is $30.
On the weekly challenges screen, there's 4 slots available, but one is locked only to those with a Premium Battle pass. Trying to knock out the weekly challenges for the achievement...just want to know if that would hinder me.If I remember correctly, premium pass gives you 20 levels with the pass. At the end of the match, but you have to inspect the players one at a time, because the overall scoreboard shows points instead of KDR.Is there a player stats section? Win/loss, K/D, Etc?
I mean your overall career stats. At the end of the match, but you have to inspect the players one at a time, because the overall scoreboard shows points instead of KDR.
I was wondering something similar, but in regards to how many weekly challenges there actually are. It'd be nice if there was a counter to show how many you had remaining. On the weekly challenges screen, there's 4 slots available, but one is locked only to those with a Premium Battle pass. yes. Battlepasses never expire and once you buy one you can put your progress towards it at any time (one is "active" at any given time). If you join in years from now, you can go back and buy Season 1 and make that active.Did they say you could buy older battlepasses that had expired ?

The battle passes never expire though, so you're not on a race to unlock everything like you are with games like PUBG/Fortnite.im really enjoying this. The new maps are great so far. BTB is just perfect. The right amount of chaos.
I was a defender of the challenge system for progression thinking it's basically the same thing just reskinned, but... nah it's pretty bad. Some challenges aren't great and don't keep it generic ("Score 10 flags as a team" >>> "Score 10 flags yourself") and it's SLOOOOW.
I've played like 22 games today and I'm still level 2 lol. Almost level 3... There's 100 levels...
Buying a BP will provide for a fourth xp slot and xp boosts and shit sure, but that's no real excuse. It's just too grindy. I'd rather the later levels be grindy than feel like I'm getting nowhere early on tbh.
Hope they bring out the new maps and open up the game modes some more soon enough. Custom game browser would be cool too.
Even with Halo 3 and Reach, I felt like I was earning things from both skill and simple enjoyment of playing the game. Halo 4/5 and now Infinite? I feel like I am earning nothing. Thankfully it seems I am not alone as a lot of folks across various social media, fan sites, and more are calling 343i out on this. Hopefully things change As this could easily be the best Halo MP game since the Bungie Era.
Full MP. Every map and game mode.Is this the full multiplayer package or are they cordoning off certain modes for Dec 8th? Does anyone know?
I know they never expire. This season is 6 months long but all others will be about 3 months. I would literally need to play something close to 660 games to finish the battle pass (free tier), which is kinda nuts. If I can't do that within the season and a new battle pass comes out then it could easily become a never ending cycle of not being able to finish something as new ones come out. I get that it's F2P and they wanna make their money, but it's a tad crazy. It just wouldn't feel as bad if my gameplay performance mattered, too. I had a game where I popped the fuck off in strongholds with like 4000 points and went 24/3, but my challenges were 1. Destroy a Chopper, 2. Kill an enemy with a shock rifle, 3. Chef's Kiss - get a perfect with a kinectic weapon (or whatever). That whole round I got nothing out of it (other than fun, of course). Just kinda sucks a bitThe battle passes never expire though, so you're not on a race to unlock everything like you are with games like PUBG/Fortnite.
Just play the game and you'll unlock everything eventually. Why do so many people need carrots dangled in front of their face to have fun?
Oh no, you might not finish all battle pass, however will you cope.I know they never expire. This season is 6 months long but all others will be about 3 months.
