Gran Turismo 7 |OT| Hitting the Apex

I’d rather play Elden Ring blindfolded.

Maybe 45 minutes. Just avoid the edges of the track at all costs and don’t ne afraid of half throttle.
I decided to focus on going slower and not crashing instead of trying to go fast. I ended up getting it after a few more tries and now I’m in the “S License Club”!

I agree. I understand the prize ones like in the past, but ones you purchased? We should be able to sell.

Hopefully they will patch that back in.
Probably the reason is because ppl could exploit the level up system by buying cars, leveling up the car collector, selling them all and buy diferent ones. I dont think the level drops when you discard cars cuz we unlock new stuff by reaching certain levels.

Gotta love the small detail of our garage changing visually as we get more cars. It started as a tiny 1 door garage, then changed to a 2 door garage and now my garage is a 3 door garage. Curious to see how much it will change as i get more cars. I think its tied to the car collector level, cuz im sure my garage changed to 3 doors once i reached level 10.

starting with the ps4 sony removed the pressure sensitive face buttons from their controllers.
Oh nooo, it was really good especially with the GT titles.
Doing ok with license tests so far, though some of the ones with long high speed corners are tricky to manage.

Anyone having issues with hangups sometimes when you just finish the race, before the animation of your driver raising his hand and getting a trophy? It happened to me 4 times already. What happens is you are booted back to the main menu and then you stare at a black screen fro like 30+ seconds AND the race you just completed is nullified, as if you never played it. I mean if its a 2 lap race, whatever, but imagine if its some hardcore grind for gold and it doesnt get counted. Basically it says the connection dropped but it only drops once on a million when you finish the race.

Anyone else have as bad luck as me? All of my roulette tickets have ended up in credits. Not single car or car part and I’m up to menu book 25

Just did a euro circuit cup (sorry, can't remember the name) and it paid over 100k for 3 races 3 laps each.
- You can no longer sell price cars
- Roulette is trash and often gives you the worst price out of the pool
- Races that give you a "decent" amount of money (like 50K and above) take forever and are ridiculously hard

Or you just suck ass. I did 3 cups today, each with 3 races. each race took about 7 or 8 min. Each cup netted me about 160k.

So I got around 500k for ~ 1h gameplay.

Sitting 1M in the bank with around 60 cars. haven't spared on tuning.

Did all the license tests. No way in hell am I going for any of the golds on Super (although there's a few I know I could do).

Not worth my time anymore for the frustration. Also that S-10 test is ridiculous.

Started working my way through Super License golds. Currently on S-6. The S-2 Gold was the easiest out of almost every license test, I did it first try on a crappy lap just so I could race my ghost and I was still 1 second ahead. S-5 was a nightmare, those jumps before the finish were brutal, the rally physics feel so broken.

5 left and honestly dreading the S-10 gold by the way people have described it 😨

The missions and driving tests are a million times better than the actual campaign races.

Would take a few hundred more of these over the generic last to first dead races.

I wish they had more races like Tsukuba Club Sport +. Grid start and if you pick a car at or under the pp limit, it’s a genuinely hard race. Hopefully the new events are not these rolling start chases instead of races.

I always heated physics on gran turismo for rally. But boy it feels fantastic on the wheel. I'm really impressed. I was dreading doing the rally licences now I can't get enough
I think they really fixed the rally physics this time around. Compared to sport it’s way better. Rally cars actually have traction on gravel and it’s not like driving on ice.

Yeah, my only main complaint is the career is mostly too focuses on rolling starts. PD will be adding more events through updates, hopefully it's more grid starts and some actual endurance races.

Custom Races for me in the meanwhile.

Are they going to add new tracks in future updates?

Monaco would be great.
Would love Monaco.I hope they give us a couple more Japanese tracks like bring back Tokyo R426, and give us something new like Sodegura. Would also love the Gunsai TOGUE from Hot Version, the Hakone turnpike or some other point to point road courses that aren’t circuits. Would be great tuning up cars for courses like that and doing online time trial battles 😛

Whatever is in sport is pretty much guaranteed to eventually show up in gt7.

It’s really remarkable to see how people have become so resigned to the exploitative reality of where gaming resides today, that they will willingly go to bat against their own self-interests as consumers.

Jesus……what is to be gained in the defense of these companies and practices? Do you guys really think the game’s design hasn’t been made in consideration of MTXs for the higher end cars? That there’s a good reason why cars aren’t able to be sold? Wouldn't you like to have them with less effort?

There is some real curious psychology going on when it comes to those dopamine receptors, boy. People will jump through hoops in contradiction of their own interests as long as it keeps flowing.

I think you just need to calm down and let people enjoy the game. Everyone here is an adult and can make their own decisions on whether they think the MTX is exploitative or not, those that don't agree have the luxury of not buying the game. For those that own it it's their choice in whether or not they see the value in buying cars with real money.

Your opinion only affects you at the end of the day, so if you disagree with aspects of the game that's totally fine but it doesn't mean you're right.

You're assuming this game wants to nickel and dime you at every step but let me tell you that I've played almost 40 hours of the game since launch and have not once felt the game was being unfair with the prize money it dishes out.

Why do all the cars feel like they are on a stick?…..they have no weight transfer or roll and others similar to their real life counterparts?

I would take gran turismo monetisation than any season pass that have to pay to have the privilege to unlock stuff.

That's not true at all

Are you playing in chase cam? I agree that it feels weird, I don't like it. Try bumper or roof cam instead.

If you played old GT games you would realize its actually easier to get cars in GT7. In old GT games you always had to purchase ur cars to advance in the campaing, in GT7 i only had to buy the started car and a pickup truck as the game keeps giving you the cars you need for the next step. Spent a total of 80k purchasing cars, and have 2 million in credits without grinding. Also 55 cars in my garage right now.

The MTX are a nothingburger, game economy feels better than the old GT that u had to gring just to progress.

Don't want it, don't buy it. Simple.

Do you keep that same energy for everyday things in life besides games? Fast food? Alcohol? Drugs? Porn? Etc?

This I only bought one car. The starter car

91 unique cars in the game gifted to you just by completing bronze in races in the campaign. Then the Fisherman Ranch grind gives out a good payout of 1.7 million per hour, it isn't any more grindy than previous titles.

How complex does the races/tournaments get further into the campaign? Do we get 10 lap races + qualifying rounds or something like that?

Oh yes I remember the famous invitations and car scarcity of GT4
