Yeah. Hot take. The Megaten games have been a one trick pony since press turn. I'd rather have battles that don't follow the same gimmick, but I guess that's their shtick.

Well games like Strange Journey doesn’t have press turn and Persona 3-5 have once more system even TMS have session which work like co-op attack in Strange Journey.

Then I would say play different game, the reason I’m fan of Megami Tensei series because of its core mechanics, I don’t want turn in to something else.

This will be my first SMT game. I've come to realize neither the Apocalypse setting of mainline nor the school life fuckery of Persona interest me. Devil Summoner franchise setting is just right.

I’ll buy the Xbox version to support the ports but in the end I don’t care as long as Atlus supports PC, which I think is going to happen regardless under the Sega hood.Leyasu 's response represents a lot from the green community. Atlus has all the reasons to ignore Xbox.
Most likely there’s a GP deal behind the Xbox port anyway (maybe not day 1) considering recent Sega games have all been put on GP at some point.
Maybe Persona will still be moneyhatted by Sony but that’s the least interesting series (in my opinion anyway).
I agree that Atlus has all the reasons to ignore xbox so I am not too upset by it. I obviously don't have the information to see the ROI that an Xbox port generates.
I think MS should been /are using GP money/deals to encourage Xbox/PC ports. Xbox using MTX/DLC money from western dev games to fund is JP deals is perfectly fine for me.
Yeah, I think Sega are trying to go multiplatform and will try to make Atlus follow and apart of that is the amount of money that Steam/GP deals are driving for them.

This is day 1 for me on Xbox because I love Atlus's games and I want to support them bringing more things to more platforms.

Looks too animey for my tastes, but aside from that it's looking cool. I specially dig the look of the demons, Kudlak looks amazing.
Still not sure how the battle system works tho.

Yes! Looks like they are keeping the darker stuff. Hopefully it's not only for visuals but also for the rest of the game.

Finished Soul Hackers 1 a couple of weeks ago and now have been 40 hours in strange journey redux...I would say SJ would be a preferable template for a SH sequel for me.
But they clearly took a Persona inspiration for SH2. I guess that's what's selling these days and I don't have a problem with it, though not my preference. Looking forward to playing this day one tho.

this looks higher quality than Persona 5 and i fucking love P5 so not hating on it.
