Well that reminds me of people that say PS or Xbox have no games. Are they moderated?

Depends on the context, but more often than not they will be either warned formally or notified via a post delete to raise their level of discourse.

Of course we can’t see everything, so we do rely on community members making reports when they see something egregious like that.

I'd interpret it as a sanction for a low effort opinion, not because it is a disagreeing opinion.

The argument about interactive movies has been used ad nauseum.
I hope same rule gets applied for the "blinded by nostalgia" and "rose tinted glasses" arguments, which are even more overused and low effort.

I'm of the opinion we should start locking or pruning these threads. I get that the free flowing GAF Gold stuff is a nice income for the site, but holy shit we can't make it a day without someone losing their marbles over a warning.

Maybe I'm just no fun, that's possible too.

Yes it is possible

While I disagree with the opinion that GoW is an interactive movie (I loved the gameplay of the first and platinum'd it!), i really don't think anyone should be banned (or awarded "infraction points") for just voicing their opinion. This is getting way out of hand. Unless someone uses swears or literal insults, it is a misuse of authority to manage the forum like this.

I've voiced more than one time around here about how mods can be jerks now and then

But you really wanna die on this hill?

If you were calling "Immortality" or "Her Story" an interactive movie, ok, but Ragnarok?

Please, such a low effort troll post
So it’s okay if it’s a game you don’t like?

That’s really the line. There’s entire threads of blatant baseless trolling on this site, but it’s completely fine as it’s only against certain games that are “okay” which tend to have a common denominator. And then there’s another group of games that you get comments instantly deleted with no rule violation given if you aren’t positive towards.

If only we could find out what all those had in common!

Do we have clear guidelines of what is and isn't acceptable on here? Or is it simply down to the mods discretion? I see plenty troll comments on here that don't get a warning, hell I've written a few myself.

I think it's more consistency here that's needed more than anything else, maybe Mod Of War (or whomever)can look into this and help define the line of what's acceptable?

Nah, it's never fine, imo

Games are interactive media, and I even consider "walking simulator" games

I'm just saying that it would be easier to understand this reasoning for games such as "Her Story" or "Immortality" than freaking God of War

It could have something to do with the moderator that did it named 'Mod of War' with a God of War logo in their title.

What are “infraction points”?

It's slang for the ropes used by the diabolic mods on this board to keep us down. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Seriously, when you get infractions they have different weights. Some boards have it set so that if you accumulate too many points in a set amount of time, the system automatically bans you.
