I'm so happy to see this is reviewing well. I watched the ACG review and that's all I needed to see. It's absolutely incredible to marvel at some of the environments he showed in this game. Bring on tomorrow!

For me I never posted much on gaf and then the split happened. I checked out resetera for awhile until I was banned for arguing word entomology.
That was 3 years ago I think. I'm a liberal guy but the views were getting more "extreme". The real problem was you couldn't actually have a conversation there without getting brigaded by multiple people. It was only a matter of time before your account was suspended when that happened.
That made it "scary" to post anything cause you feared you'd be banned. And the bans weren't equal. Some of the mods have serious problems with the little authority they have there. I still read on the site cause of the high engagement rate but screw those mods. They power tripping

Yeah but the best thing to do with people like that is to ignore and give them no attention.
Game is getting good reviews. Time to focus on that and move on from the crazies.

I can confirm that there are quite a few of them that are absolutely seething that the game is reviewing well. They seem to be focusing a lot on IGN who released a statement basically saying "Fuck JK Rowling, she's a meany face, but just letting you know we're going to judge the game on it's own merits because that's our job."

You are right, unless CDPR added it in their most recent update, TW3 only supports Adaptive Triggers, no Haptics. I would like to know from devs what's keeping them for supporting it because if they already developed it for the PS5 version then there's no reason to believe they couldn't port it to the PC version. It's especially frustrating with games as Cyberpunk 2077 and Dead Space that recognizes the DualSense, all buttons are shown correctly (even the touch pad) and even the config menu show the DualSense, but not only the Adaptive Triggers and Haptics don't work you don't even get basic rumble.

I would love for the mods of Neogaf for April Fools to just behave like polar opposite of Resetera mods, and give 24 hours bans to anyone who displays even the smallest semblance of tolerance and emotion, and have their ban messages just be mean spirited and offensive.

Next one I'm interested in is the once decent site of Eurogamer, where their usual tactic in this area is simply to have their rant and then disable comments altogether. My guess is they'll do that, or I suppose they do a resetera and simply pretend the game doesn't exist and not review it.
But then what about the DF nerds? Do they do the same, or do they give a stupid hand-wringing speech before their tech analysis? And if they praise the game, does EG link to it?
I'm enjoying the show; can almost feel the anguish from the media, especially the silent ones!

Excessive content moderation without a team that actually understands the consequences along with not moderating with a balanced hand leads to situations like this. You can't proclaim to be a champion inclusion and acceptance over the years then turn around and do the same exact thing you accuse your opponents of doing.
I don't mind the dog pilling that happens when people open their mouth and stick their foot in it.. That's perfectly acceptable, words have consequences. If you want to hate on JKR for her comments or views, go for it.. Everyone has that right.. But you are not allowed to take my right from judging the work by Avalanche for this game on its merits if I choose to.

These are some great review scores, really glad to see this game doing well, I was expecting it to do a little more poorly because of the stupid outrage, I don’t know how many reviewers are taking that into account, but I’m sure there are at least a few of them so this score might even be a little low.

Such a fucked up site. This game is a really heartwarming experience, Ive had a smile on my face the whole time. Those idiots miss out on it just due to some silly agenda that wont achieve anything in the longrun.

This is one of the few I bought on console instead of PC. Tonight at midnight, I’ll be firing up the 70” tv, putting on my headset, and getting completely lost.
Im sure my wife will find me passed out drooling on myself when shw wakes up, and then will be mad all day cause she can’t play till she gets home from work (I have 10 weeks off from reconstructive knee surgery. Not allowed to fly until the doctor says it’s fully healed.

I don't think they care. Era doesn't come within a country mile of representing the gaming community as a whole. They're a drop in a bucket. If they want to huddle up and cry over a Harry Potter game doing well, it's not going to have an impact on the game itself. It's already tracking to be one of the highest selling games of the year.

You'd think they'd step in and get the forum crew to allow talk about HP. But it looks like they are hands off with the game forum. The ad money must be so good coming in (hence you got HP ads in a forum not even allowed to talk about the game), they dont care. And any anti-HP rules dont move the needle of users and ad revenue.
