Yeah, I recommend choosing Balanced Mode (40 FPS on 120 Hz display) on Series S.
There are too many graphical compromises in Performance.

No way. There is a clear effort to not engage with this title. Like the right of a site, but in no way does a game of this size have 50 reviews after embargo. Already mentioned up thread, but freaking Spongebob has more reviews.

A lot of devs worked on this game that aren't being shunned the way she is, so why the hell aren't they being respected? It is already Steam Deck verified. I'm buying the PC version after seeing all those console modes that are 30 or 40 fps. I thought about getting PS5 for platinum, but I can always do another playthrough later for that. For this game, I want the best visuals and frame rate I can get. That's PC.
Best between PS5 and XSX versions is probably negligible as always.

Probably will start with quality mode on series X for the crisp 4k image. And swap to 60 fps if 30 starts bothering me. I dont have a 120hz display so the 40 hz doesnt do anything for me. And I don't want to add ray tracing for 30 fps with a low pixel resolution.

I mean, the trouble for them is that they're in 'finger in the dam' territory with this one....they'll have to monitor every single thread on there pretty much constantly. next they'll have to close any thread about charts of top selling games on all the platforms, probably for months. same with 'what should I buy' topics. Then it'll be any mention of when it goes on sales, you probably have DLC coming further down the line too, and of course the end of year awards...they might have to not cover most of the major gaming events of 2023.
At least the kid in the playground only has to put fingers in his ears and go 'la la la'. I bet even Sisyphus would chuckle at their task.
