I wonder what your doctor would have to say about this.Does anyone dispose of the monster remains after finishing them off?
Like toss them off the ledge into a deeper area or try to destroy them with whatever environmental hazard available?
For me it's just like that. Once you've finished the game, New Game+ is just an appreciation run and then Impossible and all the extra achievements are there for the extra replay value if you really dig the game and are craving for more.Finished NG+ playthrough last night and all I have left to plat is the Impossible trophy. This is one of the GOAT-tier remakes, up there with RE2R, FFVIIR, Demon's Souls, CTR etc. Motive knocked it out of the park.
The lighting in this game is astonishing, pound for pound the best I've ever seen. There were multiple times where I just stopped moving my character to soak it all in. The changes Motive made are fantastic, everything fits and ultimately make for a more engaging experience. Having not played the original since it's original release I was often in situations where I said "is this new? I don't quite remember this..." while other stuff I remembered clear as day (space basketball ftw). It's a testament to Motive's understanding of the IP that all the changes made fit in so seamlessly.
I'd also like to highlight NG+. Normally I really don't care for NG+, I'd much rather have a lengthier adventure (if the quality is maintained) than a shorter one with "replay value". The fact is once you've beaten a game you've seen pretty much all their is to see, no more surprises, nothing is "new" anymore. The decision to make a new collectible available in NG+ that ultimately leads to a secret ending is the kind of thinking I'd like to see more devs employ. Having said that, the core gameplay in Dead Space is satisfying enough that even without this addition I would have played through a second time.
The final question is where do we go from here? I'd love to see Motive give the same treatment to Dead Space 2 which I think is an ever-so-slightly superior game (shout-out to the scene, one of the most memorable in all of gaming). Following that a brand new entry would be fantastic, the devs have earned that trust, they understand what Dead Space is supposed to be. If we skip DP2 remake and go straight into a new game I'm good with that too, just give us more Dead Space, I'll be there day 1.
btw has anyone seen this? I mean, Isaac is an Engineer... But still...
That's gonna be rough. I'm on a 2080 Super and at 1440p with DLSS performance I'm still on mostly med settings.Does anyone here rock a 1070ti? I kinda wanna buy this but I have no idea how my gpu can handle this @1080p. I loved the original so much I probably played like 5+ times.
He would say...I wonder what your doctor would have to say about this.
With remake I used almost all them, even more so in my new game + run because I properly upgrade most of them. I notice in Remake you cant rely on Plasma cutter as much because you get less bullet for it compare to original game. What weapons is everyone using? And are you sticking to two?
I plan to use the flamethrower as I never used it in the original.
What framerate are you getting? I'm trying to get 4k60 on my 2080s with DLSS but probably dont want to play on low, will get it on ps5 instead if I cant get over 30fps, but its been hard finding benchmarks haha. That's gonna be rough. I'm on a 2080 Super and at 1440p with DLSS performance I'm still on mostly med settings.
Maybe at 1080 with low settings?
Gah, "low" is like a swear word to me. I guess I'll just wait until I upgrade this card. I'm surprised it has lasted this long! Most modern games have been running quite good. Cyberpunk seemed to be the first real roadblock. That's gonna be rough. I'm on a 2080 Super and at 1440p with DLSS performance I'm still on mostly med settings.

For like 3/4 of the time I used the Ripper and Plasma Cutter. I was using everything I had for the last quarter of the game. That flamethrower is something I used later on as well. It’s great for groups of enemies. What weapons is everyone using? And are you sticking to two?

Plasma cutter and flamethrower were my only weapons used for first run. New Game+ I plan on trying other weapons. What weapons is everyone using? And are you sticking to two?

If in RE4 head shots dont work like in RE2 then thats an instant fail for me, that was awful! Can't wait to see how this stacks up against RE4 for best remake of the year.
You can farm reliably whatever you want in the entire game.As an old school Dead Space guy, I am loving this remake.
I'm running 2 games, one following MajorSlack's kinesis heavy walkthrough (lots of fun but takes work).
And another one only focusing on upgrading the plasma cutter as early as possible.
The problem is, the game seems to know what I am doing and not giving me any plasma ammo.
I refuse to buy it at the store.
I wish there was an area you could farm it reliably.
Something very familiar about this...The original pitch by Glen Schofield, likely when it was called "Rancid Moon", was that the game would take place on a prison planet.
Do you have the audio Log from Kendra "Replacing the Tram"?Playing the game in NG+ and haven't unlocked / found whatever the f is it. Did any of you guys have it? WTF is it?
If you're on an Impossible run and scared of the big fans in Chapter 12, you can completely bypass that section; there's a huge hole on one side of the elevator shaft, simply go inside and safely fly back to the surface from there.
Do you have the audio Log from Kendra "Replacing the Tram"?
Was the last one for me in Chapter 1, to get it you need to fail to block the auto-loader arm with Stasis.
Yeah, there's a few of counter-intuitive, or even basically impossible to figure out without guides, Logs in the game.
How on earth are we suppose to figure it out?
I never failed this sequence even original game
I agree that Hunters could've been done way better in Remake. I mean, it's okay the first time when you need to freeze it in a chamber, but then it's getting annoying af. They should've looked at RE2 (or The Callisto Protocol and what SDS did with Farris when it comes to encounters with him, how he retains his mind and thoughts, how he mutates into a monster over the course of the game etc.) for how to approach Hunter in the game and make a much bigger deal out of it, make it more smarter etc. etc. etc. But instead they've decided to go for much easier approach and... it's not great, to say the least. Hopefully they'll fix this for Dead Space 2 cuz it also has the same problem.Just at Chapter 11 and, I have to say, design-wise the game really shits the bed towards the back end. Spawning mobs out of thin air every time you reach objective, invincible stalker enemies, replacing bosses with running in circles and pushing buttons. Really feels like the ideas ran dry by the time you hit the Crew Quarters. Even the final hunter encounter is a retread of an earlier one (just with extra mobs). Big let down for an otherwise great game.
Don't die.
Likely. Unfortunately.
Is this true?
- Kinesis is your best friend, use it all the time in fact. Fans from vents can be used against enemies, lots of pointed objects in almost every room you can use. Then, use dead Necros blades as weapons. Carry all these things across rooms if necessary.Did me HM plasma cutter only run for me first run.
Someone prepare me for the impossible run. Any decent advice?
Likely. Unfortunately.
I wanted a Dead Space revival so fucking bad.. series is amazing and this Remake rocks.

- You can use Stasis against 90% of enemies in the game and simply kill them by using stomp on them repeatedly (doesn't matter if they're standing).
- Only carry weapons you actually use, better to only carry just one as ammo are guaranteed then. Once built a stock of three (usually) ammo slots, game stops being generous, so put them in the Storage and keep collecting.
- Once you're hurt, like in the yellow, game will keep providing you with MedPacks until you either heal yourself or have three different MedPacks in the inventory. You can again put them in Storage for the future and keep collecting.
- If you're in the red, simply go back to main menu and reload, better not to risk. Save as much as you can, they are unlimited so why the hell not.
- You can skip the whole fans section in Chapter 12 by using a hole on one side of the elevator shaft to reach the surface again.
Probably still happening, I definitely think we're gonna get Dead Space 2 Remake.Likely. Unfortunately.

I'm disappointed with the image quality in this game. Edges looks blurry even if I will use sharpening and downscaling (it doesnt matter if I will use TAA or FSR), and on top of that there's also this ugly pixel crawling on reflections (it reminds me low bitrate video). What's the point of using high quality assets and textures if you then blur all of that with crappy picture quality.
On my old PC (3770K @4.2GHz and GTX1080) I get 42-65fps (average is around 50fps) at 1440p FSR Quality + high settings and that's very playable on my 1440p VRR monitor. I can also play at 55-85fps (average 70fps) on my FULLHD TV at 1080p with FSR Quality. Stuttering isnt so bad as I thought, but it's there, so I hope they can fix it. Pefrormance is acceptable given how old my PC is but IMO this game should run even better given how average it looks (IMO PS4 games like Uncharted 4, RE3 remake, looks and runs better). Also it seems Nvidina is no longer optimising their drivers for pascal GPUs, because even GTX1660S is faster compared to my GTX1080 despite being 20% slower in other games.
I surely hope so, but wouldn't bet on it.Probably still happening, I definitely think we're gonna get Dead Space 2 Remake.
And despite the hate The Callisto Protocol got and downplaying of the game, over 2 mil in one month isn't bad.
So if Dead Space Remake got close to that I see it as a win, the sales can only go up.
How is Motion Blur related though ?Fix for traversal and camera stutters on PC:
It's way, waaaay better after doing this, almost zero stutters, very smooth performance and gameplay. I guess everytime you change settings after the process is complete, it somehow messes with the shaders already compiled at the first start of the game, hense causing stutters and bad performance.
- Turn off motion blur
- Delete everything in folder C:\Users\*\Documents\Dead Space (2023)\cache
- Let the game to compile shaders
- Do not change any settings in the game after that
