No, because it's a fake leak. Some other clown on Twitter said the same thing a few days back. Neither of them have track records of anything, not good ones at least.

Anyway, it would be fucking awful if they did do the multiverse thing. It's already been shown to be a terrible plot device, and it's not like we don't have enough of it with Spider-Man or capes in general as is.

The game will take advantage of the SSD by increasing the traversal speed cap tremendously. Beyond that, maybe a Mysterio and/or The Spot boss fight.
Yep. Enough with this boring multiverse nonsense.

All you have to do is notice that the MCU is tearing at the seams in slow motion at the exact same point when comics did 30 years ago and are right now;

At the same time Into The Spiderverse was a better movie than anything the MCU ever made.

Won't mean shit if the AI is still dumb as fuck walking into doors or unable to navigate their way around the game world.

You ain’t never gonna see “next Gen” AI. You know why? Most casuals are dumb as fuck and will get pulverized by AI. This was why TLOU1’s AI was downgraded severely from that awesome E3 demo. Play testers were getting spanked.

Gaming is getting more and more broad appeal mass market by the day and they’re gonna focus test that stuff out. You ever see a casual actually play a game? I was just over at my buddy’s place and he was playing some Ubisoft open world thing and I watched him drive around mindlessly, run into trees and walls, and shoot a silhouette around enemies like a Tarantino movie. If you put in next Gen ai he gets shit on, doesn’t have fun and doesn’t buy your next game. Can’t have that.

Meh, cod it's the most popular game and ai is effectively human since thats what you play against, plenty of challenge there. And before somebody mentions sbmm, cod used to be even more popular without it.

I never followed the guy I just quoted what Gameranx said about him though I'd be lying if I said I don't wish some of what he said was true.

Haha no. That AI never existed. The first gameplay trailer was purely scripted BS.
Same for the sequel.

I love how people use the excuse that they had to dumb down that ia because it was too difficult for players when the game has like 5 fucking difficulty modes and they could just slap that ia on grounded for masochist people who want a real challenge and call it a day, but noooo, believe us, the ia was real, we just like to keep it for ourselves...

ND is not new to bullshitting their way out of critics, made from the ground up on ps5, i still laugh:lollipop_squinting:

Since the other day we were talking about who between horizon and cyberpunk has the best character, i took the liberty of taking a pics for the lowest tier characters in horizon, this is just a dude in a super small camp during his idle animation, no name, no lines of dialogue or nothing, this is the lowest tier npc in horizon

What, does anyone actually argue that? The characters in Cyberpunk look shit and always have, even by last gen standards. What a bizarre perspective.

They don't look shit, they are just highly uneven.

In horizon they all look god tier.

There is a pic of jackie coming out of the shadows in the path tracing topic that looks fairly incredible, but it also look super cherry picked.

Tbf we were talking about skin tech more than general characters, but i think horizon has the edge for skin tech too.

Yep there skin shader is currently unmatched. So much so that it makes other studios previously impressive skin shaders look way outdated.

Imagine if The Elder Scrolls 6 looks like this

Looks great except some of the 'effects' put on there. That fisheye lense effect or whatever that is that's stretching the edges of the image is ultra annoying as is the constant shaking of the camera.

Seems like artists forget that the point isn't to try to emulate a literal camera, but moreso to emulate what it's like looking out of someone's eyes. It looks like the character has on a GoPro or something.

Very nice, but the clouds look a bit low res, pixelated, don't know exactly and not just in this photo, I saw it in others too.

you're not going to get pixel sharp VDB clouds in real time for quite a while yet. Think of when games first got fog and it was blocky and lower resolution than the game.
Even some cloud solutions for offline rendering look pixellated.
Its the next clear step, and a big jump up from what anyone has done before. pointing out that it's not as good as real life yet is sort of missing the point.

Embergen is a pretty good indicator of where real time clouds, fluids, fire & smoke will end up in a decade. It's first beta versions were low res and blocky - but they ran in real time, and for a lot of uses in VFX more than good enough. The beta came out in 2020, and we're about a full console generation away from hitting that level of quality still.
The generation after that we'll hit the quality they hit with the 1.0 release... and the generation after that we'll probably get their 2.0 level of quality within a game (2.0 is currently in development, but the developer posts snippets a bunch https://twitter.com/vassvik )
