PlayStation VR2 |OT| I heard it has a single cable. Is this true?

No joke, Gran Turismo 7 in VR is worth the money for PSVR2 all on its own. It's a completely different, and vastly better, game. And it's impossible to go back to playing it on a TV screen.
Haven’t played it yet in vr but can you use a wheel in it?

Walkabout Mini Golf is getting phenomenal word of mouth as expected, seems like it belongs up there with GT7 and Village and all the best of the best, no exaggeration - the feedback on this game is 10/10 by literally everyone who's played it. Can't wait to give it a few goes myself!

The complete package for $35 gives a ton of value too, as the courses get better as you go further past the game's initial release in to the DLC, and you have stuff like tracks based on IPs like Myst and Labrynth too. Plus the Hard mode seems like it changes the tracks entirely so you are really getting two completely different courses for each one, whether you do normal or hard. And it sounds like there's some sort of Where's Waldo type mini game where you search for clues and find hidden golf balls on each course which people like, and you can fly around the levels to explore etc. Super polished.

For those of you already familiar with Saints & Sinners I completed the main story and finally met Casey in the church.
My walkthrough was mostly "goody goody" except when provoked.

We leave on good terms and in front of me I see a rope with knots leading to a balcony upstairs.
I think this is my way out so I climb up on it.

I accidentally ring the Bells instead and everyone outside the church gets attacked by hordes of zombies.
Casey loses his shit and I shoot him in the face.

So much for good intentions :messenger_grinning_squinting:

I got it yesterday, put on the headset, next thing i know, i was playing for 4 hours with friends. Its fantastic and does belong up there with GT7 and Village. A must have for PSVR2 owners.

It looks absolutely gorgeous and a nice puzzle game would be a great addition to my library. I'm 99% in, will check the reviews to seal the deal.

Did they say they were also going to be releasing the first one as well? I think I read that but not sure.

I guess I was lucky when I got mine from Best Buy last march. Ordered online & was delivered the same day.
Were you guys in the US gypped?
USA was from ps direct only, no idea why. I normally buy my games from Best Buy too.

How many hours is the saints and sinners? I think i wanted that game but totally forgot about it or something. Thanks for the gold btw.

I finished the story at about 20 hours but I did take some days to exclusively scavenge like a nervous squirrel.
If you just focus on the main path my guess is that you can finish it in half that time.

I just wanted to be a one man army by the time I got to the end 😁

I'm LTTP but I just ordered a Horizon VR2 bundle 😱

I have Village and GT7 already think I'm gonna pick up Moss 1 and 2 and probably NMS!!!

Annnnd it's going back I hate it 🤣🤣 definitely an acquired taste.

Sweating repulsively all over the rubber after a few minutes, felt a little 🤢 on both Horizon and Resi, Constant struggle keeping it focused, The screen door effect is shit and so noticeable it bugged the hell out of me on my rift years ago and this is just the same.

With how much people have hyped this headset up I was expecting to be wowed, Horizon didn't impress me much I found it to be very boring and quite blurry, Found myself enjoying Resi more.

Guess I came in expecting too much I really wanted to like this as it's clearly a nice piece of kit 🙁 but safe to say VR is not for me I'll put this refund aside for a new console whenever that may be!!!

Too bad! The sweating isn't "normal" but maybe it's just warmer now - a fan can help, but I didn't have any sweat so far in any sessions though the weather hasn't been terrible yet.

There's definitely no screen door effect at all. You're seeing the mura or something else. Horizon isn't native res, but it's not super blurry either, just not quite as sharp as something like Saints and Sinners. Resi is a bit sharper but still a bit pixelated, I think it's higher res than horizon but just not great AA. Still, it hardly matters after 20 minutes normally, it's super immersive and you can quickly forgot it all.

But yeah, I guess not for everyone. Still, you don't know until you try I guess, I'd never have thought I'd be head over heels for it, but that's how it went for me.

Yeah you're right the Mura I found it really annoying.

I'm not saying it's a shit piece of hardware because it simply isn't but VR is sadly just not for me.

Got a few rounds of Walkabout Mini Golf in, it's really fun. you need to adjust the controls a little bit but in 20-30 minutes I was feeling pretty used to it. I was finding myself wanting to be able to see the ball and hole from the corner of my eye at the same time, but the peripheral vision just isn't the greatest with the headset (bit blurry), so you need to look over more and you lose the ball then look back to the ball. It's not terrible, but definitely room for improvement there. Still, it really feels like mini golf, all the tricks and courses are just like in real life. I like that you can walk around or fly or teleport right to the ball, and the variety of course is incredible so is the hard mode for each one giving entirely different holes. Definitely see why it's so highly recommended all the time.

I kind of want to try the golf game, but I’m also an international pilot and take clubs and a fishing rod with me everywhere, so I doubt I’d really enjoy it. Like, I’ve played golf all around the world.

Plus golf without the feel of the club head hitting the ball would feel weird.

Golf and fishing, the things I don’t think I’d like in vr that I love in real life

Have any attachment to Myst or Labyrinth? Very unlikely you've ever played those courses anywhere! I dunno the game is a lot more whimsical and it's definitely a help-make-the-VR purchase worthwhile, but I get it if you have more golf than you care for already IRL.

I think the controller hapticks should simulate that quite nicely..

Can someone explain to me like I'm a 5 year old how come my fully charged sense controllers are down to only 1 bar after barely 2 hours of gameplay?
I know haptic feedback and vibrations are a factor but how come my Nintendo Pro controller lasts for up to 40 hours?!? Vibrations included 😁

no, haptics are great, but they can't simulate that kind of feel and vibration.
I've been playing since I was 6, and was a tournament golfer till I finished flight school, so the feel of golf is specific and important to me. Not a biggie though, I'm glad eveyone is enjoying it. I might still pick it up to try though.

Can't argue with you on that then! It still should be fun though

The batteries most likely weren't fully charged. It's possible they were, but unless the last session you used them to at least 2 bars, they wouldn't charge even if you plugged them in. So basically it's likely you used them from 100 > ~70% and they reported 3 bars and didn't charge. Then today you used them from 70% > 30% (~40% usage from 2 hours) and they are reporting 1 bar, with about 1.5 hours of life in them. The battery life does suck though, but you can get a little usb pack if you really find yourself having trouble that plugs directly in to the controllers no wires or anything.

I really wish the PSVR2 cable was completely detachable so I can store the headset better and or leave the cable plugged into my PS5 and just plug in the headset when I need. I don't know why but this issue really annoys me for some reason. I think they missed an opportunity to design it a little better in that respect.

Edit: I must add, I got my PSVR2 for free so I don't really have much to complain about.

That would be nice and very welcomed,I would appreciate it too as it would make storing it easier :)
On other news, me and my friends finally completed all the books of Demeo (we couldn't play together last week at all). I genuinely adore this masterpiece and recomend it to everyone. Always have a blast playing Demeo with my friends, doesn't matter which class (but bard ftw!)

I was just going to buy the Walkabout Minigolf standard edition, but after reading so many great impressions, I decided to get all the DLC courses at a discount in the Whole in One bundle.

Glad I did. This is a really good way to unwind and let go of real world stress. No complex mechanics or storyline, just you, the ball and physics. Haven't played online yet, but am really enjoying the single player. Looks crisp and plays really well.
