Insomniac on the release of Spider-Man 2: The disc contains the entire game and is playable from start to finish with no patch or online requirement

As a big proponent of physical media, I'm just happy that Insomniac was upfront about it and straight up said that the entire games is on disc and playable from start to finish since we all know there has been several big single-player releases this year like Jedi Survivor which had a mandatory 50 - 60 GB download.

As it should be.

Here some serious devs, congratulations, I will buy your game.

Take notes all publishers with ridiculous releases with almost no data on disc for no reason.

You can find minor bugs like this in any open world game and of course there's going to be patches down the line with minor fixes or even new features, it still released complete though.

Looking at some performance analysis it seems like it's a pretty solid product despite the minor bugs it may have. This isn't like Skyrim( for example) where it was broken on some systems at launch.

didn't the guy from digital foundry found a big where a dead body floated? there will be patches of of coarse
Yeah, 1 bug over 20 hours of gameplay. A dead enemy T posing straight to heaven. Must have been an innocent killed by Spidey.

I dunno if it’s a bug as well but he did also show one instance of a road texture having seams. Probably where 2 textures were supposed to connect. I guess that’s 2 if you count it as well.

I went digital, so I hope you plastic loving cavemen who don't download the d1 patch love your inferior opening while I bask in improved accessibility and polish.

My opening level is better than yours 🤣
Not only do I have access to thugs getting angelically being carried straight to heaven in real time, I also have access to the day 1 patch.

No heaven for digital only people.

Yeah, this is important but so many companies can’t be arsed to properly do their job.

Now if only Insomniac made stealth missions an options download instead? 😉

PlayStation studios level of polish is amongst the best. I can't remember the last time they released a game that was noticibly buggy
Possibly only Days Gone. I never experienced it as I have played it after it was already patched.

That's cool but isn't THAT rare either. Lots of big titles this year are playable from the disc (though there are some notable ones which aren't, like Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor).

Still, it's always good news when the whole game is actually on the disc.

Said every lazy person. Do you also have a pee jug? Can't get up? I'm going to invent the gamer themed auto-feeder so gamers don't even need to think about eating, food just happens to fall in your mouth when needed.

This became a thing when we as gamers allowed it to happen. Just like we will eventually lose our rights to what we own and most be ok with it.

We have at last reached the stage where literally anything is deemed worthy to be an ‘official statement’ :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I blame ChatGPT…
