Nah, I think it was always going to be a small batch.

The internet an "rumor mill" ran absolutely wild with it.
Then why not kill that turmoil right away last week instead of growing it up until now?

They look so freaking nervous it's like they are so afraid of their cult like fandom's reactions.

Thats what expect from this guy, bunch of truths divested as lies that could be simply resolved in a single tweet or in a blog post, but nah the clown wants his spotlight.

Tipping their toes first, and then they will release the rest.

This feel like they are trying to tell people that the xbox is still relevant.

The fact that they need to tell people, is just a bad look.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
So, a very rough summary:

- 4 games (they did not name names but Tom Warren says: HiFi, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, Grounded), are coming to other platforms.
- Phil says this is not a promise or greenlight for more games in the future.
- Phil specifically name-dropped Starfield and Indiana Jones as game that are *not* going multi-platform.
- All Xbox first party games in the future will continue to come to game pass on launch (they did not mention if CoD games will get an exception for this or not)
- Diablo 4 is coming to game pass on March 28th
- They confirmed a June showcase with more new game announcements. Boooty mentioned that they have 15 games coming.
- No talk of any more BC games coming, they had a 'preservation' segment but that was more about games having cross-saves and progression between console and PC.
- No talk of any new hardware (revision, portable anything)

There is nothing in this that they couldn't have said the other week when the leak happened!

yeah its as easy as this.

We have decided to allow some of our developers to take their games to other platforms, just like Minecraft is better with everyone, we feel these games can benefits from being on multi platforms. When the developers of these titles are ready to make the announcement public we will be there to support them.

thank you.

So they're releasing some shovelware on PS5, that's cool.

Not naming those games is a mistake, just let's the rumours continue to flow. OK, no Starfield or Indiana, but doesn't confirm anything else? Weird.

What about future game announcements? will they make it clear what will remain long term exclusive?

As expected damage control without ruling out anything else for the future:

Spencer confirms that Starfield and Indiana Jones are not part of the first four games, but he doesn't rule out the possibility for these titles to arrive on PS5 in the future. "I don't think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform," says Spencer in an interview with The Verge.

Being humbled by their position has caused some of those statements said by Math Booty

It's PR and must be reitereted how badly this is being handled. Especially not announcing the games.

They're too ashamed to even say Sony Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

I wish his name was Math Booty, that would be awesome! :messenger_tears_of_joy:
