When it comes to Outlaws, nobody in this forum has any clue as to the intent of the hire, what the company planned on, whether the intent was ever to fully use this chicks image in the first place. It's the just the typical "I CAN'T FAP TO THIS" circle jerk that always happens around here and it's the most loserish shit imaginable.
Let's just cut to the chase, the game will be shit. It's DEI, UBI. We could argue the toss all night but it won't change a damn thing

The company is shit now 🤷‍♂️

Buy it, or dont.

This sentiment I’ll agree with. I fully intend to buy unless the reviews are abject shit.

Strong lesbian looking lead character, funny sassy side kick "breaking" the fourth wall every single time + fast food open world ubi structure + Ubi/Star wars IP Marketing powerhouse.

I really doubt that this game will receive anything bellow a 7, with the exception of some small indie media.

Yes, we all get the modern internet argument paradigm. If they agree with you they're based, otherwise they're biased. It's no shock to any of us.

It could be the best Star Wars game to date and I wouldn't buy it from UBI. Even before you get to the rampant DEI nonsense they pump into their latest games, the fact that it's tied to online and the shite they pulled with The Crew means it's just a dead loss from the get go to me.

They've shown their hand in what they consider good software practices. They consider their customers as purely renters of the shlop they serve and they've shown that they'll charge over the odds for the privilege.

They've utterly lost their way in everything I personally consider a basic gaming ethic.

Fuck them, fuck the shlop they serve and fuck the people they've been hiring.

Honestly, the only hair is the only issue in my view. Change the style or darken the color by at least ~25%.

I think it has more to do with the graphics/engine than any tweaks to her appearance, bearing in mind the haristyle. Her facial structure is the same, but the model looks very inconsistent depending on the scene in-game.

To me, it's not that she looks ugly in the shots you showed...it's that they made the person whose face they used uglier. That's the problem I see anyway. Why insult their face models by making them less attractive.

Post #25 in this thread has a video with the real model in it. That is what she looks like and that is what they based the in game model on. Post a time stamp from that video where the real model looks better than the pics you quoted that you claim make the real model look worse.

There's a few spots where she's doing things like biting her lip etc that i don't think the performance cap handled very well.

Hey guys,

I have applied to Ubisoft for a job in character design and modeling. I submitted a sample of my work, along with my reference model.
What do you think?

I think that if you didnt use the correct pronouns your application is already dead.

Who cares its a Ubisoft game, it will be boring and mediocre and uninspired regardless of the character.
But yeah she doesn't look good, i mean she is mediocre not bad either. I have seen worse, the Fable character is by far the ugliest.
Anyway a hot take is that i dont think the actress is beautiful either, she is just an average woman, but i agree that Ubisoft made her look way worse than she is, i just dont think the source material was that good to begin with.

This is getting fucking stupid. Did they alter it or was it never based on her likeness to begin with?

Most of Troy Baker, Nolan North, or Jennifer Hale characters look nothing like them.

I think it’s OK to alter the actress. It’s hard to not think of modern politics these days.

Miranda‘s actress was altered in mass effect. Giving her black hair and a bigger yada yada. 🥵

I imagine the face would have to be similar in some key ways for the performances capture to work but I don't know much about that stuff. I don't think they were necessarily trying to make it look just like her, though. It really doesn't. The real girl looks like a baby and the setting and tone seems to call for more of an adventurer.

Yes. Would this be better if she had a baby face and heavy makeup?
For me, yes, no matter how badass she acts, if she isn't visually appealing, I'll pass or wait until it's very cheap, at least if the gameplay is good.
Actually, I'd rather play as her sidekick robot companion than as her.

Yep. Motion capture doesn’t always automatically correlate and equal to the character themselves looking like their portrayer. The director and crew will use their performance in the final product, or may simply use it as a reference in some cases, but it won’t always be a situation where the performer’s likeness is directly put onto the character they’re playing.

Humberly González has a very youthful and fresh face, not really suitable for an outlaw tomboyish scoundrel who’s mobbing it in the underworld. Kay Vess is cute, González is pretty.

I'm not a fan of when Hispanic woman dye their hair blonde. This character isn't blonde but it still has that goofy fake look.

Well I should have seen that coming. Of course some people are going to prefer it. I walked right into it!

To better articulate my point, more like an adult this time lol, I prefer the in-game model in the context of the game. In steller blade, I want eve to look flawless. But this didn't look like that kind of vibe at all.

She looks terrible in parts of the trailer and fine in others. maybe its something they can fix in the game before it releases - why not point it out?

That doesn't seem in the same spirit of what people are upset about. Anyone who mentions that it might just be a little rough spots is defending the model in the game.

My guess is that the character model was created before they got an actor to play her. You don't need to have the same or similar face for facial tracking.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
It seems that the style of the hair, the quality of the lighting, and the complexion of the face are deteriorating.
I'm uncertain whether this is due to downgrading or if it's intentionally made less appealing than the initial reveal.

I will purchase on day one if they switch back to the initial reveal, or opt for the $5 sharing account if they choose to keep it
I mean my post was a joke and is still off but that's her eyes and nose and the in-game model is waaayy off, I'm not even sure how they got there but I agree that the lighting and stuff can change this but there definitely some way off adjustments to the model to reach tha.
even the 4k trailer you can see it.
it's better sure but it's not her.
I was trying to think what the model reminds me of and then it clicked...

My point is Asian people tend to age slower than western counterpart.
The char on reveal trailer for me at least on mid or late 20 or early 30. While the recent story trailer is clearly older that that.
That's my point.
My mother (100% Asian) wrinkles showed when her reach 60 and none before that age. Me (44 years old) have no wrinkle at all.
How's the dick size situation though?

just kidding :messenger_winking:

This game had so much good feedback.
How can they fuck it up with this bullshit.

I'm waiting for the movies where they make the actors ugly on purpose. Silly people
