All things considered, the aforementioned SE multiplat games all performed badly on the Xbox. That's why I don't understand SE's moves.

New gen brings new changes. Anything can happen.

Also the consoles themselves and the tools in place now make it more cost and time effective to bring it to several platforms than ever before.

It's kind of pointless to suggest that XB1 players won't be interested in the game at the moment. We won't really know until the marketing wheel is fully set in motion and the type of message S-E try to deliver with that.

I am cautiously optimistic this game will sell extremely well. It will be the Final Fantasy that will bring in a lot of new fans but the question is will it bring back some of the older fans (and yes even some traditionalists). At this point the fan base seems to be optimistic about the games/series future but there is a sizable amount of detractors. I just hope everyone gives it a chance. Nomura and co deserve at least that much...

Guys may I ask what happened to shinta ? Did he get permabanned ?
Shinta got banned for being obnoxious about the orbs in the FNC logos and insisting they're all representations of Cocoon. When people proved him wrong he blamed his opposition as usual.

I doubt he got a permaban for that, just wait a few more days and he should be fine.

I really hope we get some new ínfo at TGS about transportation and costumization. I know it's a lt to ask, but I'm really curious as to what ways we can build up the characters.

Also - show us moogles!

• Noctis Lucis Caelum: A childhood affliction endowed Noctis, heir apparent to the throne of Lucis, with the mystical power to see a heavenly light, through which he could sense others’ deaths. Noctis rejects rigid royal conventions and acts as somewhat of a renegade, much to the dismay of those who tend to him. Yet while “Noct” may act brash at times, he does so in defense of those loyal to him.

• Gladiolus Amicitia: As lord of the noble House Amicitia, Gladiolus continues a line sworn to protect the crown. “Gladio” shares a friendship with Noctis that transcends birth and title, and his loyalty to his liege is born not of duty, but of brotherhood.

• Ignis Scientia: Ever the unwavering voice of reason, Ignis was weaned on shrewd logic and a classical education from boyhood so that he might one day counsel the would-be king, Noctis. He applies the deep mutual understanding and trust they have built over time to help smooth over Noctis’s brusqueness with others.

• Prompto Argentum: The puckish playboy Prompto befriended Noctis in his school days. He wears a chip on his shoulder as an outsider to the royal circle, but remains eager to do all he can for the cause.

• Cor Leonis: A living legend of Lucian lore, Lord Commander Cor Leonis’s devotion to the art of war is surpassed only by that to his king. Little love is lost between the ill-starred stalwart and Noctis’s retinue, yet honor binds him to keep watch over the group all the same.

I don't want to copy everything, there is plot premise there too.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Worst playable cast in FF's history; Nomura needs to check his privilege before making more games.

Tell me more about them.

What's up with the red shoe soles? Pretty weird design haha.

Clothes are designed by Roen, so if we laugh at the clothes, we should blame Roen. :p

They're all young and handsome cis dudes. Disgusting.

Do you want mid-30 aged, beer bellied, balding men instead?

Actually, I wouldn't mind an FF cast like that.

Terrible.

Gladiolus, seriously?

Maybe they'll have nicknames like Noctis does: Glad, Iggy, etc.

Glad is Gladio already.

I'd like them to nickname Cor to Corcor.

I would guess, since he/she used the new buzzword cis, that he/she wants more LGBT characters in the cast.
I think 7th is trolling, but if he's not, he doesn't really want LGBT characters, he wants specifically lesbians because then he'll have something to titillate himself with. His favorite cast member in 13 is Vanille, because 1) fanservice and 2) lesbian. There are no noble intentions. Ignore him.

Woah woah now. I really hope a PC version does happen. It will save me $400 buying a PS4. I would be fine with a 6-month to 1-year delay on PC release so they can get their sales out.

Not taking sides here. But a PC port, whenever it happens, will be the last straw for lots of console gamers and their frail trust in SE. And by lots I mean millions.

Man, I hope the playable characters aren't just these backstreet boys... surely there will be playable female characters as well?

I think Cor's clothes is the only out of place one. Isn't Cor supposed to be a head of the royal family guard? Shouldn't he be wearing at least some armor?

I think that's a gross exaggeration. That aside, a title as big as XV would likely do quite well on Steam, if only because of its name. (It certainly wouldn't bomb, especially if the game reviews decently)

Just imagine the visual splendor that we will be treated to in this game. I just started playing XIII yesterday and it has dropped my jaw on numerous occasions already. Can't wait to see what they pull off here. The game looks fantastic all around.

FF XV cannot afford to do simply well. This is an industry where some games don't have afuture with less than 5 million copies. FF XV needs to do superbly.

Exactly because it is so popular it will be pirated like there is no tomorrow. And when FF XV-2 comes console gamers will simply opt to wait as well for the PC version. Ports right and left reek of desperation and we can sure as hell pick up the scent.

He would probably stand out in that.

Also, that hirez image is pretty damn awesome.
