Yet again, New Avengers was much much better than Avengers this month. Based on the preview pages we have seen for Infinity #2, NA#9 is providing a lot of set up for next issue's events. It's funny how everything involving Thanos is taking place on Earth with the New Avengers, while the Avengers are shunted off to offer support in a space war.

I hope y'all picked up the book formerly known as Collider.

Currently reading the Brubaker Capt. America Omnibus! Some of the stuff goes over my head ( i have no prior experience with Cap) but so far it's been pretty great stuff!!!

Well, Avengers Arena #14 went exactly how I thought it would.

All you guys doubted Red Lanterns. You lifted your noses up and sneered. You boggled at its relentless, consistent sales. You said it should die and couldn't understand why it wouldn't.

SWEET VINDICATION.

Holy mother of fuck at the ending to Cap, what a ride! Some thoughts:

I wonder if Sharon really is dead? Maybe Marvel will let Remender do his thing, she won't have a big part in The Winter Soldier so I think they will want to push Black Widow instead.

I am so happy that Jet is alive, she should be a great supporting character for Cap, I wonder what their dynamic will be and if Zola still has plans for her. I hope she sticks around for quite a while, even if Zola makes his return to mess things up again.

Cap evidently is going to have some serious problems in the aftermath of potentially losing his fiance, it's only going to get worse from here for his PTSD. I wonder if we'll get to see Falcon, Bucky and Fury's reactions to her disappearance in the future, since they obviously had strong ties with each other.

Can anyone explain the epilogue of Cap to me.

Ian is alive obviously, and he is inspired by the lessons Steve taught him (that he in turn learned from his mother) by assuming a new "Nomad" identity (Jack Monroe's Dimension Z replacement?) and leading the Phrox against the mutates.

Green Lantern Books are good again - yeah :)

Has aonyone seen this thread by Mr. Mastermind on CBR.

That's pretty damn cool.

And my Scott Summers' X-Men were good too. But I'm always grossed out when I see a broken bone sticking out a body....

Spoil me brah.

Nothing to spoil. It's just good. I liked it before, but Charles Soule has made it pretty damn great; Guy Gardner is exactly what the book needed. They are changing the Red Lanterns up in a really interesting way, giving them a new base
A ship they stole from some dirty pirates
and really starting to flesh each of the Red Lanterns out, so that they are more than GIANT FACE GUY and GUY WITH SKULL HORNS I GUESS? Oh, uh, one spoiler I guess?
Atrocitus is still alive. Despite having his ring (heart) taken.

Also. Dex-Starr. The greatest of the Red Lanterns, gets the page time he has been long denied. Because fuck you if you don't like him.

Fair enough.
It never really clicked with me during Milligan's run so I ended only getting the Third Army and First Lantern tie in issues.

I'd say you should get it starting with the new arc but you've been down on the new Green Lantern stuff (despite being AWESOME, like
The Blue Lantern Corp being wiped out. Fuck those guys. Except Saint Walker.
). So maybe check it out in trades in a few years.

Milligan's run was so bad... I did not even get tie in issues to anything because it was so much random stuff without any kind of tone or consistancy.

We see Superman trying to kill Batman because and hates on Diana for maybe going with Batman once he is dead.

How dare you besmirch
the greatness of Brother Warth, Sister Sersy, random space giraffe, and the three other Blue Lanterns!!!

Just took a look. That's actually pretty interesting. And those little blurbs gave some fascinating insight into what the Relic issue is going to be about. I was already gonna get it but now I'm really curious to see just what the previous universe was like.

Lol, Captain America readers on CBR are actually getting pissed at Remender and saying they're done with the book just because of what happened. I know it's comics, so anything can happen, but if you ask me I hope
Sharon never comes back or at least doesn't resume her relationship with Steve.

There's actually some cool fans who really like the characters there, the problem is the rest of it is cesspool as you said. And then you have the added benefit of Stephen Wacker engaging with fans in a meaningful and positive way.

Thinking about subscribing to Marvel Unlimited, but I have a question. Does the MU app for android have the panel view like the comixology app? I can't imagine reading comics without that on my phone.

Are the Indigo Tribe still a thing?

Yes.
But neither they nor the Sinestro Corp (what remains of it) have been seen in any of the new books yet. The focus has been on Green, Violet and Red.

While Relic initially appeared to be First Lantern 2.0, he has been fast becoming his own thing; He appears to have a real motivation and doesn't have the cruelty that the First Lantern did. It comes across as though he really is a man with a mission who believes what he is doing is the right thing. He doesn't even feel omni-present either. Most of his attention has been in New Guardians, while the other books continue to do their thing. I get the feeling he is going to burst onto the scene in the other titles and have quick, decisive impact, one way or another, if the short (one month) duration of the event is any indication.

So Batman and Superman is excellent. The alternate origin for their friendship is just great and perfectly executed.

Only issue is I'm having a hard time keeping track of Clarks and Bruces. I know who's who in terms of the overall story but sometimes from panel to panel it can be a bit difficult. Still the best Superman book, though!

Trinity War was honestly the best event story made in the past decade from any publisher. However, I do wish those idiots at DC didn't spoil the big twist ahead of time.

Can anyone possibly be a bigger bro than Thor? Dude just thinks humans are super cool and wants to hang out with us all the time.

What? It was ok, and very good compared to recent DC, but it wasn't a patch on Blackest Night even plus a few others. It was workman-like, and not a particularly strong story in itself.

Started very strong though. Just about to read the last issue so I can highlight all these spoiler bars.

Aw, Dex-Starr is a kitty! A very, very angry kitty going by google image search.

I wanted to check out Uncanny Avengers because of all the love it got on that recent questionnaire we did here about our favs but I don't like half the characters on the tream. #coolstorybro

I like the CBR forums. I mostly just read the independant forums but it can be fun to check out some of the other stuff like the character appreciation threads (people there love She-Hulk as much as I do) or the shipping threads. Even the wars over creator superiority can be illuminating.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Aaron writing definitive X-Men and Thor at the same time :bow

Scarlet Spider is back to having some great art. Hope that artist sticks around for a bit as there were some great panel layouts going on there.

Turtles was amazing as always.

Cap was good finale, but I'm a bit wary of what Remender can do without a constant shock factor that cheapens payoff since he returns to the same wells over and over.

Not finished reading everything yet because it was one of THOSE weeks where its "release all comics. simultaneously"

lmao that end of Trinity War. Fantastic art all the way but
GRID? Seriously? What a dumb fucking name. Great concept, totally undercut by the dumb name that actually made me lol, The rest of it was fairly as expected, lots of pictures of people jumping into the air vaguely. I liked Supes getting jealous, and I like the idea that Owlman will tie in to the court of owls stuff, that's clever. The rest... meh. Read it before, and better.
