This guy from Trilogy of Terror. Saw it at 7 years old it was a TV movie. I was scared for months it freaked me out so bad. Saw it not too long ago though and it was not scary at all, funny to watch things that scared you as a kid much older.

After that would be Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street. Saw this too young too and couldn't even listen to Fresh Prince's Nightmare on My Street when it came on the radio, it would freak me out haha.

Jeepers Creepers is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life. Me and my roommate went to see it in the theaters, and it took everything in me to keep from walking out of the theater, but I didn't want to leave her behind. Turns out, she wanted to walk out too, and didn't because she didn't want to leave me. Lol. I hate that movie so much, thinking about it makes me angry. God I hate that movie.

It's far from high art, but c'mon. If it's one of the worst movies you ever saw, I wonder how many movies you've seen : P

Jeepers Creepers was great! The first half that is.

The first half was the part that irritated me the most! Everything that happened to the main characters happened because they were too fucking stupid to keep driving to the next town and report the creepy dude that almost ran them off the road, instead, deciding to "stop and investigate" the abandoned house where the creepy dude's vehicle is parked, and they see him dumping what could be a body down a chute/well/whatever.

When the heroes/heroines are dumb and boneheaded, I lose all sense of sympathy. Even in stupid horror movies from the 80's, most of the time, the protagonists are usually fucked no matter what. In Jeepers Creepers, they actually could have gone on with their lives and not even be involved with the shenanigans that followed. Instead, they actively inserted themselves into a dangerous, fucked up situation, and then we're supposed to empathize with them when the shit hits the fan? No thanks. It was Darwinism with those two.

Another one that scared the shit out of me:

Large Marge from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Here's the actual scene:

Was trying to find that gif.

Yep, the first time I watched, damn man.
Yeah, this was so scary to me, and I watched it last year. Gave me the chills after the movie.

Also the guild navigator in Dune. It didn't scare me as much as made me feel extremely sick. It's mouth looks like a birth hole that has been doing too much birthing...to put it lightly.

One memorable one that I don't think has been mentioned yet:

Feathered Hen from Freaks. The fact that it was just a normal women who was mutilated and turned into... this... is just utterly disturbing.

gooba gabba one of us

Freaks is by far the most disturbing movie ever.
The only movie I could never bring myself to watch again and has me cover my eyes or look away. True horror.

Now, this guy from Dario Argento's Phenomena (creepers in the US I think) has haunted me for years. Maybe because I was fucking 8 when I saw it. Movie still scares me, Argento was so fucked up

Jennifer Connelly was just dreamy, though.

I like the monsters from, sorry, forgot the name of the film.

Cabin in the Woods. All of the monsters in that movie are references to other horror films (the clown being Pennywise, that guy with the sawblades is Pinhead, the twins from the shining, etc.)

I was waiting for someone to post pics of the ghosts from Thirteen Ghosts. I'm too chicken to look up the rest of them!

Alright, I'll find them for you

The Torso and the Bound woman (top right of that GIF) bothered me the most.

Oh God the Jackal just gets to me. And yeah, the bound lady is just creepy. I'm tempted to watch this movie again but the ghosts just put me off! Too much to be scared of in this movie lol

I like to believe that Thirteen Ghosts and The Grudge take place in the same universe as the Scooby Doo movie after the gang goes their separate ways. Daphne moved to Japan to fight the ghost from The Grudge and Shaggy helped out as a consultant for the guy in Thirteen Ghosts.

The movie itself was extremely lame, but this is the only scene that made me literally jump in years:

Remember to post the name of the movie. I thought Grave Encounters was pretty well done. They averted that trope of "Why don't they just leave?"

The final boss in REC is probably the only monster design that's legitimately scared me.

To those posting the final scene of Blair Witch Project - I actually sat here trying to see if there's a monster there. That scene freaked me out so much when I first saw it and to this day I still wonder if there's a hidden monster in one of the shots, even though I know it's brilliant because you don't see it.

This thread has too many images so it's gonna take a while to load and see all the votes, but has this bad boy been posted yet?

Lol I guess that's a good way to relieve some of my anxiety for it. What are the odds that both these movies have Scooby characters and terrify me the most?

Not really a monster, but disturbing as hell nonetheless.

(Begotten)

I was terrified of this GIF until I realized the monster was wearing a blood-stained bandage around its mouth. Its mouth wasn't some kind of giant torn-open hole.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!

Lol, the way the redhead's head is bobbing looks like they are having a battle rap and she's laying down some dope rhymes at sawhead guy

If I've scanned the thread correctly, this hasn't been posted yet.

Terminators from Terminator 2

As a kid I could handle most scary movies. It was the shot of this asshole firing two guns into the camera that freaked me out - the kind of terror that seemed more likely than any supernatural creature. Utterly terrifying.

edit - Certainly the terminator design from T1 is just as impressive and scary.

hell ya, came to post this.

Shit gave me nightmare when I was a kid.

my contribution, kind of freaked me out. Puppet Masters. It's like the complete opposite of toy story lol
