More like the cars suck at standing starts, the clutch was'nt made for them. Nearly everyone in the field competed in a series with standing starts.

Same. Kinda like the BBC with the super bowl. They just cut to the studio.

I had the displeasure of having to watch the Singapore GP on TV whilst away in Florida, some years back. One of the most awful sports viewing experiences I've ever had.

Yeah, I've been watching for 15 mins and it's just so obnoxious lol. I guess you get used to it but the American TV style really doesn't work well for many sports. At least they use the PIP when the commercials are up.
