My body is ready. Preordered for Vita even though I'm not sure I'd play this on the subway during my commute.

Getting this! Saw the PS4 Asia version in Hong Kong at the weekend, but wanted to wait for the localization. It may have to wait until I get back home next weekend.

I assume the asian version is unplayable if you can't read Chinese or Japanese?

Edit: OK, getting my versions confused.

PS4 Japanese version is Japanese only I assume
Asian version on the Vita looks to be English according to Play-asia, and I assume should be available in Hong Kong this weekend?

According to Play-Asia's page for the game, the current Asian version only has Japanese text. There's another one coming out next month, but that one only has Chinese text.

I will be joining you all in a couple of weeks
after I beat senran kagura burst, which I bought last night.

Does the beat them up parts in akibas trip play like yakuza games at all? It looks like it to me? I'm so over yakuza and the way sega treats it's fans. Hoping this will fill the void.

Great OP btw!

If it looks good to you, you'll probably enjoy it. If it doesn't, you probably won't.

It plays a lot like Way of the Samurai 4, meaning it's rough around the edges but full of content and charm and highly addictive. It's also the only time in recent memory that literally every employee in the company unanimously agreed that the game was worth publishing after our initial evaluations, so that should tell you something right there!

Not even Trails in the Sky?

Well, fanservice does apply to both genders. Though I wouldn't object to a Manservice shoutout, since this is one of the very first US games to have that available. ;)
Yeah, believe me; I'd love to throw in a shout-out for the manservice in the game, as XSEED's treatment is what got me interested in doing the OT in the first place. It's great that people other than your typical straight dudes are finally getting some sort of acknowledgement, and that it's being done in good spirits. Hopefully this opens the door for more games doing this, because even the stuffiest, most cynical number-cruncher should see that there's a big audience for this stuff, and it's only growing larger by the day.

If you're interested in the English VO, this was a list of people I came up with based on the voice clips:

Certain About:
Kati Räikkönnen - Stephanie Sheh
Kaito Tachibana - Todd Haberkorn
Koma Sakaguchi - Jamieson Price

Shaky On:
Rin - Danielle Judovits
Zenya - Doug Erholtz
Shizuku - Trina Nishimura
Kihachi - Kirk Thorton affecting his voice (listen to clip 3 on the website to hear what could be him breaking into his normal one)
Soga - Richard Epcar making his voice higher
Yuto Tachibana - Steve Staley or Keith Silverstein

Due to the nature of nonunion dubs, there's almost certainly going to be nothing listed in the credits, nor can XSEED release that information. Usually the actors hype up their projects on Twitter when they're close to release, but I haven't seen anything, and some of them don't have twitters at all. My ears aren't perfect, so I didn't want to spread potential misinformation by throwing this in the OT.

Orhime, Moe (does Soul Eater Face), and Chad are in it.

Actually, wait. Now I'm not so sure. My friend, who actually has a decent amount of experience working with other voice actors (though he hasn't been in anything major), thinks I'm wrong about some of people I listed, but he can't place his finger on who he thinks they are. I trust his ear, too, so I probably am wrong.

I dunno, though; as long as you trust Siliconera, the only genuine confirmation we have is Cindy Robinson, since she was the only actress mentioned in their article about the Akiba's Trip dubbing process.

Way of the Samurai doesn't exactly fill me with much hope! LOL. what about yakuza - how does that compare in terms of the beat them up aspects. As long as its similar there I'm totally down!

PS - What about Xseed doing a Y5 translation? I can only dream!

My memory is bad today, but its only digital in EU or physical release also was announced??

It will be physical and digital :p(It's NISA. They always release games physically and digitally for Europe ;) ).

Edit: Also. I see a lot of stores having the €39,99 price tag for the PS3 and PS Vita version.

Can't decide which version I should take :X.

I'll be getting the Vita version for sure after it releases in Europe. I don't know when exactly, with SSB 3DS coming out in October and my huge backlog of games that I still have to buy, but I'll try to get around to it as soon as possible.

Hmm i might get this for my Vita when it releases in EU. I don't care for the fanservice but i like games that have settings based in real Japanese locations.Hopefully it will also have some minimal exploration and the combat looks fun.Haven't looked much into it besides some trailers and i haven't read any reviews.I'd like to go blind for this.

Well, i do plan on getting a ps4 in the future, but there aren't any games currently on the system that interest me. If Akiba's trip is released in 2015, then ill probably buy the PS3 version as its coming out this year.

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
Nice job with the OT!

Will be interesting hearing GAFs impressions. :D

Am still always impressed by the the model of the city that they do since a lot of places are fairly accurate.

combat is buggy as always, but wouldnt be an akibas trip game any other way lol

Lyte Edge

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
Getting this on Vita- glad I didn't double-dip...can't believe they didn't throw in a cross-save feature.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Any impressions and reviews about the game?

i dont REALLY even know what this is but gamefly is shipping it to me so I guess i'll find out

I just know it was one of the big vita localizations that people were excited about so I threw it on the list

Ordered my copy (Vita) from VGP and got the mail that it's being processed. My guess is it'll arrive around friday/saturday (living in Europe). I can't wait. :>
