I think you're thinking about this a little hard. It's simply a joke playing on the reveal of New Super Mario Bros U from last week. Toadette can use a crown (which you can see in the comics above) to turn into Peachette, hence the joke being random characters using the crown to turn into attractive female characters. It's not exactly high art but it's an amusing enough framing device for jokes.

Fan art is fun, and it is a good community building thing for a fanbase. However, (this is my personal opinion based on my beliefs so please don't attack me and take what I say as an attack against you) when you build a character for the sole reason of gender bending or colorfulness (Sex appeal and half nakedness to full nakedness, is what I mean) that seems a bit iffy to me. Bowsetta sounds like she could be a good character if these things were dropped. Think about it, she could be a sort of evil peach! Like a wa-peach. Maybe she could be bowser's wife or related to him in some way? She doesn't have to be sexy or bowser changing genders. I think it is more fun and clean that way and it doesn't get into the whole semi-pornographic way.

That is a good example of GOOD FUN NONCOLORFUL (you know what I mean) fanart. Nothing is explicit, it is taking a character (boo) and making it into a princess. It is a fun, cute visualization that adds to the mario fan universe. It makes me wonder what it would be like to have her in a game and what her personality is.

I honestly think more princesses in the mario universe would be cool. I mean, we only really have peach, daisy, rosalina, and pauline. They are all under utilized as is (except for peach, and rosalina to an extent) and Mario does travel to different worlds and kingdoms all the time. Why not go all super mario land and have him save someone else than peach?

Really? Animal based cartoon characters like bugs bunny are always naked. Does that mean bugs should have his genitalia exposed to invoke sexual feelings? (The sad thing is that I wouldn't be surprised if there is porn of bugs bunny on the internet simply based on how fucked up (remember I use this word sparingly) the internet is).

Anyway, shouldn't we have fanart that is clean? It gets a lot more people on board and it is more fun to make fan art that doesn't involve sex. What is bowsette like? Is she evil or a good guy? There are literally TONS and TONS of things you can explore with her character that doesn't involve weird stupid sex stuff.

In a way I love gender bending (kinda have to since I'm into the Fate-franchise), though this seems more like if Bowser and Peach had a daughter. I like the design, so would've been an interesting kind of character for Nintendo to add to a game. Would preferably be in an RPG. Seems like she's the "gal" or delinquent trope, so could be really interesting. Could play on the same thing as the Thor and Loki tricking Trym by having Thor dressed up as Freya and marrying him, in order to get his hammer back. Perhaps Bowser genderbent and speciesbent for that reason, in order to get revenge on Mario in some way.

So um yeah...Honestly it doesn't bother me at all! Most of the art you are gonna find from Japan (if not all) you are gonna consider sexist or unclean just because of the default attire alone.

I liked the last one. Red hair makes more sense if it's Bowser, though it depends on what his endgame is. Claiming to be unknown half-sister of Peach and stealing the kingdom, then it's the one one the left. Simply gender/speciesbent Bowser, would be more like the one on the right. So would depend on the plot, I imagine.

Damn hentai is gonna be Sakurai's next and most prevalent problem. Never been a fan myself, but it seems weird that there's a huge allusion to softcore stuff around this subject, or "meme" if you will. Are we becoming less prone to in comfortability in these notions? Why must I hear of a new "meme" to be bombarded with hyper-sexual imagery... makes me wonder why we bother tackling that subject sometimes. Didn't really expect some photos to surface like this.
