I think the first line was sarcasm and they're gearing up to announce Halo 4. And probably the "Superintendent" is just one of the Forerunners like Guilty Spark.

Just my theory!

Way too soon for that, I think. This would likely only be an acceptable timeframe for announcing a smaller project like... a 2D XBLA platformer.

so basically they are fucking with us. It could be anything. Its like "hey we are working on this game and look this is what represents it but haha you have no idea what it is."

Might have to head to Pax though. Seatown is not that far from Ptown.

Wow I thought you guys were joking initially. No way is Bungie making a 2D platformer. They may make some crappy XBLA (all XBLA games are crap) game, but it won't be a Mario clone.

Bungie Software published its own titles, published titles by other developers (in this case, Crack Dot Com's Abuse) as well as games like Weekend Warrior, and games built on Bungie's own technology (like Damage Incorporated).

Well, dude who found bungie left and made the very underrated stubbs and I'd like Bungie to do something different. Not a FPS. like how I'd like Retro to not be making MP4.

I would like to see Bungie branch out and do something totally different for their next game, but their gun-and-grenadeplay is the best in the biz as far as I'm concerned, so maybe I don't want them branching out too far. A nice little XBLA game to snack on would be very welcome in any case.
