Multiplayer snippet looked kinda interesting. Need to see way more before I ever get back to that franchise.
Obviously smh, but that wasn't what our argument was about, it was about previous gen games maxed on PC looking better than current gen consoles games. This was your whole argument. Show me where GTA 5 or GTA 4 on PC looks better than RDR2 on PS4.Yeap it looks better on PC lol
Try harder, here's a base PS4 gameplay:
LOL. What other games? so far you only brought up Crysis. The video just shows what I said... it doesn't look like the PC maxed version of others games including Crysis... and it is a bad video that did not show how it looks on PS4.... so for reference it looks a bit better than the video.

CoD is cross gen and 60 fps just like Halo and will be held back just like Halo. Not all of us care about Call Of Duty to that degree and I'd believe with the hardware difference, such a thing running in real time would actually be expected.
You telling me a fucking game running on 2013 1.8TFLOP hardware did this, yet we shouldn't expect 10FLOPS to look better or something? My fault for expecting almost 10x the power to have anyone come close to a last gen game I guess...
I can't even lolRDR2 running on PS4 looks much better, unless you one of those people that think resolution means graphics lol.
The problem is people are running with these CG models as something that's related to PS5. We may as well see models that look like that or even better on next gen consoles, but these are not it.CoD is cross gen and 60 fps just like Halo and will be held back just like Halo.
We should see character models that look like that next gen, but comparing CG characters created by outside CG studios to in game characters is as dumb as it gets.

This is what Kevin Spacey looks like in CG cutscenes and in ingame cutscenes. If Reagan gets ingame cutscenes he will not look like that.
This gameplay trailer could use more gameplay footage. Looks pretty good though. Some of it seemed a bit too shiny.
I just think their priorities are different. It's probably hard to design state of the art character models when you have to run a game at stabe 60fps on base consoles all the while having tons of explosions and effects going on throughout most of the game.Well consider my argument is that "We should see character models that look like that" in the first place. I'm not debating what CGI is, I'm questioning why a current gen title is outperforming a cross gen one and why they are not even meeting what RE2 remake or The Last Of Us 2 character models look like in real time.
@Dinky "well see characters that look like that on next gen consoles, but these are not it"
agreed. My point is simply that they should be considering what we've seen already this gen. Maybe Naughty Dog is far better then we think if everyone else needs next gen hardware just to meet their last gen offerings.

How can you guys bring TLOUS2 to a Call of Duty thread? Jez.
If anything they needed to in order to fix that godawful audio design (no idea if an engine revamp is required for that but this is my hot take for today).God fucking dammit! Why?! They don't use MW2019 engine!

Easy, its relevant. Consider Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 remake and many other games were also cited.

So it's not even their new engine and people were losing their mind and calling it next gen because of CG cutscenes? Lol, that's internet in a nutshell.Black Ops Cold War engine gets revamp to give modern take on 1980s - Charlie INTEL

The gameplay snippets shown did look really impressive, visually speaking. So it's not even their new engine and people were losing their mind and calling it next gen because of CG cutscenes? Lol, that's internet in a nutshell.
Looks good, to me looks like ever since Warzone it seems Activision is doing COD well.
Because Sony moneybag existsWhy not show pc graphics instead.

I can't blame them, that's how advertising works.Ah yeah, I forgot these console manufacturer idiots like to spend money on third party shit.
Yeah mmr and battle passes are super cool.
Making it open makes sense. The game alters the ending depending on your actions from what I read.People are saying it's 40 hours long and has open non-linear Hitman-esque levels with a character creator and dialogue options.
.. "Here's what we learned, centring around the game's setting and story, a cast of new and returning characters and a newfound focus on player freedom - one that even manifests in a character creator, dialogue options and Hitman-style nonlinear levels"...
Halo's cut scene was in real time, that's why it went from the cut scene straight to gameplay.Neither was Halo: Infinites.

So, put as many as SS of them.
Don't know what that one guy was talking about, this is one of the best looking FPS games I've seen, until the next Battlefield game arrives at least (at least CoD has caught up in many ways graphically... but Frostbite is Frostbite).
There's gameplay in the trailer (first person snippets), it's pretty much half in-game half pre-rendered footage.
30FPS and daylight time looks mediocre.
This game looks tremendously better than TLOU2, though. We're mainly seeing better lighting with raytracing and higher resolutions and frame rates right now, but these comparisons will not be drawn on games as the generation goes on. Either way, let's stop comparing games that have half the frame rate, especially when the next gen games are also cross gen and had development issues.
Mind you this game was made in 2 years with 3 years of development being scrapped.
