I agree with you, but the point being made is a good one all the same. Don't hammer the drugs just to fill a void in your life, which probably many more people do than people like us who have better things to do.

i think the main reason, was because we all did it so young tbh, from like 13+ we had drug experiences, so when it got to later on in life, we had already moved on

doing something like coke in your late 20's..........yeh i can see how people could get addicted......ill be honest, coke is a wank drug anyway, pointless, and probably the most expensive pleasure/cost drug there is

Only drug that I would say was near an addiction for me was GBL about two years ago. I lost a good job and used it as a coping mechanism to survive the abject horror of being on job scrapheap in late 40s. I've pretty much given up everything as well. I'll still pop the odd 'E or some Meow at a rave or club when they open again (if they ever open) but days of doing anything recreationally at home are long over. Same with booze.

But agreed, they can be magical and open you up to great experiences. Laying on the sofa with some music after popping an 'E and cuddling the one you love was a great experience. You open up to each other in ways you never would normally.
