I've just updated with your numbers, but your number for 3DS hardware are wrong. Concretely the New 3DS XL model.

Well I got the numbers from Nintendo Everything and that's what they posted, but yes, it is indeed wrong.A bit late but I think there's a mistake with Powapro 2016 data here, do you happen to have the real numbers somewhere?
Trying to update my latest numbers/graphs with digital ratio
Ōkami;214102707 said:Powapro on Vita should be 12.358 just on retail, maybe the digital data is the difference between the total there and the numbers I just posted not sure.
Why did Nintendo bother doing a Nintendo Selects label for ACNL when everyone in Japan already has like 5 copies of it?

First Day Sell-Through {2016.08.18}
[PS4] [PS3] Tales of Berseria <RPG> (Bandai Namco Games) (¥8.200) - 70% less than 300k shipped. PS4 version is leading, but the PS3 is still selling a good amount of units
How does it do vs Zestria here?

The Tales series generally does not have legs from what I remember.Looks like Tales of Berseria is having a good start. Tales of Zestiria quickly disappeared from the charts after the Alisha controversy, so here's hoping there won't be a repeat of this.

RPGs in general don't have good legs, but TOZ was especially bad due to the controversy. The Tales series generally does not have legs from what I remember.
70% first day sell-through isn't good? AFAIK none of the Tales of sequels did better than the original (TOB is a prequel), and TOZ was panned by fans, so a drop is expected. Are we seeing the same numbers here lol.O_O

What were your expectations?70% first day sell-through from a smaller shipped number though? Not to mention Tales and most Jrpg had zero legs. I feel u guys had just reduced ur expectation a lot there which is why u think this is a good result.
What were your expectations?

Maybe hiska has the Famitsu issue, hopefully he can help, I'll see if I can contact the admin from NE about the issue.

Regarding Berseria I think if you know what leads to the first day sales (preorder, zestiria backlash, expectations from retailers and YSO) the first day sellthrough is "good"
That doesn't mean it's good when you look at the big picture (series decline continue, tales do not have legs), but looking at amazon reviews and the first opinions on the import thread the game should be fine to sell its first shipment, something Zestiria struggled to do.
All in all it should have better "legs" (by Tales standards) than previous entries, nothing outstanding but 300k+ LTD doesn't seem out of reach which is good on the "everything is going down, IP are dying on home consoles, japan software sales are doomed" current scale.
...
TLDR; It's bad but could have been even worse.
@hiska-kun : Yes looking at both Ōkami's retail numbers and Chris's digital numbers it fits.
