Well Halo charts every time a new one is released. That's like the same thing.

FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4 360 ELECTRONIC ARTS June-09 260.8K
FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 4 PS3 ELECTRONIC ARTS June-09 210.3K

Closer than I would expect considering the difference in install base.

wow @ infamous.....more in month 2 than month 1

Has any other exclusive PS3 game pulled this off this gen?

Slow month all around. I do wonder how the Conduit did. My guess is that it did above 100k. But again, very slow month. Hardware sales won't make giant leaps until late (well at least in regards to the wii).

Pretty bad for PS3 and Prototype (PS3)

Pretty good for infamous

Cannibalization of the market; two very similar games, one has system-exclusive notariety. Seems to make sense.

Before we make crazy assurtions when was The Conduit released?
It had 12 days of sales.

I'm keeping a fairly low estimate (120k), I could see 150k at most.

I'm expecting 300,000 by the end of August, 500k by the end of December. For a third-party new IP on Wii that's only average at best, I'd call it a success.

A lot of people will be surprised at Ghostbusters failing to crack the top 10. They shouldn't be.

Agreed. Ancient franchise that isn't really relevant to today's kids. Also had a god awful commerical.

Too bad. Sounds like the game was pretty good.

Red Faction is also pretty low despite the positive nerd buzz it has generated.

Based on the sales it looks like the 360 crowd goes for UFC.

Also, damn you PSP for messing up my prediction order! :lol

Killzone 2 and MGS4 iirc.
Neither of those games sold more in month 2 than month 1.

No Ghostbusters The Video Game.
No GH Smash Hits.
No Overlord II.
No Transformers.
No Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
No Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.
No Grand Slam Tennis.

I'm just listing "high-profile" games that are not in the top 10.

Yay for Infamous. Hopefully it will continue to sell well among people buying PS3's down the road.

Red Faction deserved more.

Nice to see the UFC handily beat out boxing.

Also, it would be awesome to see the revenue on hardware sales.

Software sales don't scale with install bases, so...

Pretty level numbers month-on-month it seems.

Wait, people honestly expected the Conduit to crack the top 10? :lol You ask me, anything over 100K would be great for it. Not that I expect it to even pull that off...

People with at least a shred of common sense didn't.

Anyone know what the profit margin is on a PS2? Its gotta be substantial.

I'm expecting Grand Slam Tennis, Wii Play, Punch-Out, and The Conduit to all be over 100k for the Wii. Prototype PS3 is probably another 100k plus along with Tiger Woods for both 360 and PS3. Then there is the possibility that a few Ghostbuster games got above 100k. Should be a good month overall for the industry. It might not beat out last years, but it shows that there is still a little life left in the economy.

8th straight month down yoy for the PS3 just for those keeping score although at least this month would be expected because last year was MGS 4. Last year for reference.

It's impressive how Wii Fit and Mario Kart are on the top 10 a year later as well.

If the Conduit sold more than the 42 copies the members of this forum purchased, I would be shocked. No one knows WTF The Conduit is.

Someone besides Reggie thought it would sell well? Enough to be in the top 10? :lol

Infamous did what, 185 K last month? So its about at 370ish. Prototype 360 is 419 in first month. Wonder what Prototype ps3 did then?

Given a lot of the reviews, I'm doubting it will reach that high.

PS3 sales are abysmal.

Prototype did better than I expected, though I think it could definitely have a hard drop off next month.

I honestly thought that Punch Out would be a big hardcore/core/casual/expanded audience hit like Mario Kart, but we're not really seeing it. The cut off here is 192k though, which is high, and so it could still be skirting along at ~100k, which would be nice, but who knows.

I dunno. Red Faction seems to be going soley on word of mouth so I'd say it's doing decent. Those are the type of games that pick up steam later.

I forgot about The Conduit lol, I can see it being in the top 20 at number 17 or 18. 100k doesn't seem hard for it in the first month.

Those are high profile? I'd give you Ghostbusters. Grand Slam tennis, really?

Nice to see inFamous keep trucking. It deserves to find a huge audience.

Red faction deserved so much more.

I know, its honestly the FIRST game this gen that really feels NEXT-GEN.

the destruction is something that completely changes HOW you think about and play the game. The pacing and non-linearity of the way the map opens up (without being so completely w/o focus that teh game is broken) is a new high mark for a "sandbox" game.

the grfx are amazing, if not a bit red/samey.

AND its got MP (that Ive not touched at all).

I was a fence sitter for a while, but really stand by this game. Maybe its the demo (which had WAY more vsync problems tahn the retail game?) bad demo syndrome?

I love the game and everything, but we don't live in Japan. US doesn't care about MH.
