Being able to connect to the website refutes that. I'd suggest a file check to make sure the installation isn't somehow behind in versions.
Whoops, you're right, I missed that part of the post.

Edit:
Unrelated, but if you're a Giant Bomb subscriber, Jeff was playing the current limited time quest with Gale Gryphon on this week's UPF.

So I recently recorded a solo Time Attack round if you guys want to see my bizarre playstyle. It's not practiced at all (it's actually the very first time I've attempted to run it all solo) so there are a lot of inefficiencies here and there. http://www.hitbox.tv/video/608935 (seek to around 44:44)

Ah, I remember this, I was watching this one live. Honestly the overall speeds you're doing them is solid enough for unpracticed and you clear stuff fast enough. In the event you're still unsure about Lili TA, I generally just go east after the first group, clear to the two mobs with healing bot then after they're defeated, take the portal, run it north and clear till you get to blue switch (The one with the ramp leading down?)

Though on the left side of the ramp (when going down) is a hidden switch that deactivates the traps on the ramps and makes the switches much easier. Then I usually hit the blue switch, run to green, then hit the two at the end. Not sure if it's faster or not.

For Floating Continent, there's one tiny trick you can do. Around 1:19:51, you're near the platform that falls down tripping the quarantine trap. There's a rock platform sticking out of the ground right next your character. If you run up to the tip of it, you can illzonde right across the trap. However, the rock is the most important part because it gives you just enough height not to trigger it. If you just say jump and move across. It'll trigger. Also if you have like a class of all jump boots to equip, that'll work. But if not, use the rock and you can skip over it saving just a tiny bit of time. Other skills will work that travel like bouncer's stuff that keeps your airborne, or gunners.

Not that it'll shave that much time off or anything, but hey, cool to know. It was fun to check out the runs live. So keep up the streaming.

Yesterday I got to the level cap with my Fighter can by accident - with how fast I was getting xp, I was sure that 80 is the max level. Now to level my Hunter for all the sweet attack bonuses!

I also did a small redesign of my character, since it's been a while. You can ignore the equipment, it's some trash that I bought for leveling.

75 is the cap, but it's also not the cap. There are 4 new SP COs the trainer NPCs give out that require Class Specific excubes gotten from "leveling" again while at the cap.

I hope you're ready to level up another 21 times!

21 times? Do those 4 SP COs really require that many Excubes?

First one requires 3 cubes, the second, third, and fourth COs all require 6 cubes. You only get 1 class cube per level, though you can exchange those for 2 regular excubes at the recycle shop which you really shouldn't do.

Good thing that I don't care that much about SP then! Honestly I felt that I didn't even need the last few I spent as a Fighter. Hunter is a bit different, since the class has more bonuses which are useful across all classes, I guess. Even then, I feel that the amount of SP on lv 75 will be more than enough.

Sigh, I've been playing as a WL Hu since the 2nd alpha and was having tons of fun. That said, when new classes were released, I switched to a Knuckle Fighter, because I got bored with my previous class.

I wonder why, despite having strong 10* weapons and Fi on lv 75, lv 58 Hunter with a random +10 10* Wired Lance still feels so much stronger and I'm obliterating enemies way faster than when using Fighter...

Well it depends on what PAs and builds you're using.
For the most part Knuckles excel at single target/bossing/burst damage type stuff and BackhandSmash is it's best PA. If you chain them back to back it pumps out an absurd amount of damage, especially if you're using Limit Break. The new Slide Upper PA custom is quite good too. But otherwise, Knuckles just don't have any good PAs for handling multiple enemies at once.
Wired Lances on the other hand were basically made for crowd control and mobbing with things like Other Spin. Though it can do a bit of bossing through use of Holding Current, though its not as fast.

It's really best to use both and just switch between them as the situation demands. No point in dedicating yourself to one weapontype.

You can still only equip weapons for classes other than yours only if they're multi-class, right?

Yup. Theres a decent selection of good multiclass knuckles and wired lances now.
Thanks for the heads up. While I don't usually feel the need to use Knuckles on my Hunter, I got this neat WL with *12 weapon ticket that I got form a quest (cost me ~10 million), a new pair of *11 knuckles and a *11 partizan.

So, I picked this game back up after seeing Jeff play it on GB. First time I've played it in like 2 years. Crazy how much has changed. Seeing the huge casino addition was an especially huge surprise, even if I probably won't go there much. Definitely can see myself sinking another 50 hours or so. I've just been checking off the summer bingo card.

One quick question, does the Nepto Cassadora for the Uninvited Guest Client Order appear as an invade during the Beach Wars emergency? Does it appear on normal? I had my COs full, so I hadn't had it accepted the last time or two I ran it and I don't know enemies well enough to say if I ran into it.

He can yeah. It doesn't always, so you may go a few rounds without seeing him, but he can. I usually run into him around 1 in every 3 runs personally.

Yeah, very often. He's a boss that spawns in trials on the path leading down towards the South West corner.

So the recent patch has stopped my translation files from working. Am I supposed to wait for an update from PSO2 Tweaker, or do I just apply those english patch files again?

I don't normally announce PSO2 streams since I stream at odd hours, but I'm going to be live tonight for a bit. Probably not enough time to get a challenge run in (this boost takes place at the worst time personally and professionally, I'll be lucky to get even two runs in) but I'll probably be running time attacks on my 2nd alt (lol)

hey, can anyone explain to me why my lame ass gun is so good

those attributes only add 25 R-ATK, so I don't get why it's beating 9* drops from Falz Loser

They extended the weapon using the games new "Crafting" mechanic. You can extend a weapon that you like to get higher attack stats, or make it equippable on other classes for the cost of...
1. The weapon is bound to you (you cannot put an extended weapon in the player shop)
2. If the weapon had unique attributes to it (Example, These Dual Blades have T-ATK on them they will be lost.
3. If it HAD Multiclass or all Class they will be lost UNLESS your extension gets those classes added to it. Example, 8 Ounce knuckles WONT have ALl Class if they are extended.

They also have a more varied damage window, which is what the DEX stat tries to keep in control (alledgedly)

Sorry, I should've mentioned that it had pretty absurd stats (~700 R-ATK) before the extensions, which didn't actually add that much to it.

Man, killed over 20 GGGs in a Trigger Party earlier today and got all two Saiki pieces. I ended up with more P-Drives than Saiki, for what it's worth.

Not a good haul, though it did get my Force from 61 to 63, so that's good... But I can't say that seeing my teammate with 3 complete sets from it didn't leave me a bit jealous, haha.

For some reason PSO2 has been unable to run at all. Like everytime I try to open run it it just crashes my computer. Sometimes even causing a critical error. Not sure why it's doing that since I was able to play fine last week. Was there any new patches they did with the game recently that I didn't know about?

I've not had any problems. Try doing a file check/uninstalling the EN patch and try launching the game again.

I've tried that, tried reinstalling the game, and running the troubleshooting stuff and still nothing. I do notice that happens when gameguard is doing it's thing as when it first happened I got an error which I couldn't read as it killed my pc. I should note that I'm running on Windows 10 but I doubt that would be the problem as I said I was able to play fine last week.

I tried to get back into PSO2 this weekend. Last time I played was right at launch, before the English patch existed. It involved lots of trips to bumped.org for menu guides :)

So far, it's been a terrible experience, and I'm 99% sure it's related to Windows 10. After 10 to 30 minutes of playing, I get a crash with the message "PSO2 has stopped responding". Interestingly enough, it's happening on both my desktop and my laptop. Both were updated to Windows 10.

Here's the error in the Event viewer after the crash.

Code:
Faulting application name: pso2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x55b75db9

I can even boot the game, login, and just stand in the lobby and do nothing and eventually it will crash, so I don't think it's related to anything specifically done in game or related to the English patch.

I've tried using the troubleshooting tools built into PSO Tweaker, deleting my SEGA directory in My Documents, went through every troubleshooting item in PSO2 Tweaker, adding exceptions to Windows Defender for the entire folder, etc but still having the issue. Last night, I even tried a full reinstall to a different hard drive. When the install was complete I tried again to play this morning and got a crash after 15 minutes.

Some other folks on PSOWorld have reported reported similar issues. I also found this link which has a Japanese player (if Google translate is correct) saying that Sega said all Windows 10 Gameguard issues were fixed, but in fact there are still Gameguard Windows 10 issues that are causing players to crash.

I'm getting close to just reinstalling Windows 8.1 so I can play for longer that 10 minutes.

Is it worth going into Weak Stance as a RaBr if I don't give a God damn about katanas in the slightest?

Yes, very. Thats essentially the whole point of RaBr. Weak Stance Charge also boosts Sat Cannon and End Attract so thats worth getting too. Also get Rapid Shoot + Mastery + Shoots Up so you can also use the Banish + Last Nemesis strats that RaBr is known for.

Completed the "Hard mode" route for the new CM.

The mission is pretty fun, though it feels somewhat rushed or incomplete. I hope they'll pick up the pace with releasing more of these.

So, would any one here happen to know what I should focus on skill wise for braver/hunter? Should I continue it or is there a better combo for braver that I should look into?

So, would any one here happen to know what I should focus on skill wise for braver/hunter? Should I continue it or is there a better combo for braver that I should look into?

Br/Hu is the combo to use. Here's the base tree for BrHu (assuming melee focus).
For Br tree you can get counter edge + bonus if you'd like. Get combat escape if you want it and intend on playing BrHu over HuBr. Get Rapid Shoot + Mastery if you want to use bows a bit more.
For the Hu tree you can dump points into maxing strike up 3 (and 2 if you really want more) to get more raw S-atk. Aside from that you can invest in Iron Will or automate depending on which you'd prefer. If you also intend on using the Crit Fighter Build then you should cap Fury Stance Crit. Get Wired Lance or Sword Gear if you intend on using those. Get partisan gear because partisans are really good.

I should really finish that pastebin document with all this info one of these days.

I did some challenge runs and I'm wondering what are the points you get for and is the challenge mode worth doing?
Check with the overly boisterous shopkeeper on the second floor of the shop area for things you can turn in challenge miles for. I haven't researched the weapon options yet but the Ideal unit set is a no brainer right now: spend 60k miles and get 120k miles back from Zeig. BOGO 11* units lol

In addition to that; The Ideal 13* Series has a latent that boosts damage against bosses (10% -> 14% -> 18%). So they're the best bossing weapons in the game. Some weapons benefit more from this than others obviously. For example, Ideal Rifle would be one of the best rifles while Ideal Launcher would not be since launchers aren't used for bossing.
The rest of the stuff in the Challenge Miles Shop is not worth it otherwise. Either they're too overpriced for what you get (like 1 lambda grinder for 4500CM) or easier to get elsewhere.

Welp, woke up today with a good Error 818 saying I violated the TOS somehow, but I have no idea how. Rarely talk with anyone other than my team mates, only ran VHAQs last night with friends and played TD3, then went to sleep. Woke up and... this happened.

It's a temporary ban, apparently, and should be good to go in 16 hours from now but I'm still wary that it might happen again and I have no idea of why. Anyone ever had anything similar happen to them? :/
