It didn't show that for me yet... but I just finished the S license. When you finish a race and get credits, there is an "ad" that takes you right to the playstation store where you can buy credits for real money.
What do you mean, "an ad"... like a video, splash screen? When you finish a race and get credits, there is an "ad" that takes you right to the playstation store where you can buy credits for real money.
Oooh, lol.
If you wake up in a bathtub full of ice, wasn't me.
Is probably Googling right now lolWhat do you mean, "an ad"... like a video, splash screen?
I've never seen this.

I knew it. Get that fuck out here
why do you do this?
Wow that’s sad how a game can be ruined by that! The racing itself is superb, I think the best on console, especially if you do not have access to a wheel.
And the microtransactions - IN THEORY - are optional. The reality though is, that - unless you really, really like grinding for money - you need to spend real money to get the most expensive cars.
Under best conditions you can make like 900K per hour and the best cars cost like 20 million credits though. So you need to grind the same track for like 20+ hours to afford the most expensive cars, in a 80 bucks full priced AAA game.
Gran Turismo was always about some amount of grinding, but they took it to a whole new level in this game. It reeks. They obviously made all these changes to get people to pay real money.
So that tiny little print at the bottom that I never noticed initially playing until threads popped up on here, is an "ad"?
why do you do this?

Normal games were worse from what I remember. Exclusivity deals on car brands or car brands not allowing their cars in games with visible damage. Then you had cars locked behind ridiculous challenges. Why cant we just have normal fucking games. It's not like these cunts are skint.
This is not true, I never purchased credits for real money and I definitely saw this ad multiple times. That only appears after you've purchased credits you clown. Look at the oh so conveniently blurred out text.
And if you want to have it all now Veruca Salt style, they offer whales the chance.I'm playing GT7 everyday and until now progression seems ok.
It's a game where people play for years, players are not supposed to have a complete car collection right away.
This was the worst. At least now you are able to obtain every car eventually via credits earned. Then you had cars locked behind ridiculous challenges.
That is not screen at end of races/events.
why do you do this?

Yeap… seems like the case… I’m to see that screen yet. That only appears after you've purchased credits you clown. Look at the oh so conveniently blurred out text.
Boot up the game then and show us the screen you get when you complete an event/race then.
This is a stream from 1 day ago and you can clearly see the post event screens are not what you're showing:
You're full of shit.
Yeah, I was reading they allowed people to transfer over their liveries.L Lumpyoatmeal how about saying what's on your mind brother
DeepEnigma yeah that feature was in Sport already. It's awesome =)
This is an example of the Stockholm syndrome we're all suffering to some extent.
Honestly, fuck that. Bring back the days of no MTXs for GT games at all. At the very worst, if they wanted to sell stuff they should have gone with paint colours, decals and liveries and driver costumes. That would have been the far more acceptable option.
When you finish a race and get credits, there is an "ad" that takes you right to the playstation store where you can buy credits for real money
Right when other games make you spend 40 hours to get a fucking armor and weapon combo they are cool, but because it’s GT7 and you want to own every car fast then all of a sudden ur ur sham sham
Overpriced, abusive car prices (real $) in game, always online.
Wow, what a great game to buy...lol
Jimbo will run PlayStation to the ground huh.
why do you do this?
This is an ad to you?
A totally non evasive tiny note at the end of a huge ass page?
Yep. There are two types of games in the world today. And this right here is why any form of MTX directly tied to game progression is the worst.
You then balance the game around your monetisation strategy and not around people playing your game.
It's why all Ubisoft games suck.
They already are common though. How many games hide their mtx's until a week or so after game comes out? This is yet another reason why people think gaming sucks today compared to in the past, even if many things are better today. It's exhausting. I'm not talking about the grind/low credit rewards but about the scummy stuff like hiding this info.Positions like his is what leads Sony to maintain this MTX policy in GT7. They know well that the GT fan assumes them. And as long as it is so and as no one forces you to buy the game...
For me, the most criticizable not that, the most criticizable thing is that it was not known until after its release and even hid it during the reviews.
I hope that things like this do not become common among the companies and that there is more reaction against it.
Yep. There are two types of games in the world today.
1) There are games that are an art form which are subsequently monetized.
2) And there are products which shoehorn a "game" within the context of taking your money.
Increasingly as the industry develops and grows, you are pushed to the smaller budget and indie developers if you want the former and not the latter.
I have no interest in console wars, I own all platforms and enjoy them equally, I just air my opinion when I see something I don't like, I'd do the same if this was happening in Forza or Mario Kart.its just to cause that thing which causes peeps bans
Yeah there is nothing wrong expressing the your feelings and concern, but at same time you the usual suspects talking with authority and don't even have a playstation or the game for that matterI have no interest in console wars, I own all platforms and enjoy them equally, I just air my opinion when I see something I don't like, I'd do the same if this was happening in Forza or Mario Kart.
I play GT7/GTS and it's something I support because:
I'm confused.
- The online race system and organisation is unrivaled
- You don't need to buy all the cars in one go
- You don't need to buy all the tracks in one go
The 3 key features you listed are basically the same in GT7 or GTS.
Don't tempt me with an iRacing rig, you son of a gun! I spend enough money tracking my cars IRL.You're confused because you clearly have no experience with iracing, if you did you'd know the difference.
Here are the weekly races for GT7:
And here are the weekly races for iracing:
It's not even a competition in terms of race event selection. And those are only the fixed races (no custom setups allowed). You can see for yourself here:
iRacing Week Planner
iRacing Week Planner is a browser app to see and plan your week's racing on iRacing.comiracing-week-planner.tmo.lol
Beyond that you get seasonal endurance races (including 12/24h races) and a robust points and appeals system (yes, if you are unjustly deemed to be at fault for an incident and it has dire consequences for your irating/safety rating then there is actually a way to appeal via real people).
So no, the online system in GT7/Sport is not "unrivaled". Maybe on consoles, but in the grand scheme of things it's lacking in a number of key areas. I actually hoped they would improve things after sport but instead they have made things worse in a number of key areas.
And for the record, I'm someone who would like them to actually sort their shit out in this area because I'd race a lot:
Nah, see above.
Dude you are in a thread complaining about gran turismo microtransaction and yet bosting about. Crazy microtransaction. You're confused because you clearly have no experience with iracing, if you did you'd know the difference.

This.Pretty glad GT has been dead to me for years. Zero chance of being disappointed.
Ok this is scummy
why do you do this?
Oh I totally agree there man, but you're always gonna get that in gaming forums sadly.Yeah there is nothing wrong expressing the your feelings and concern, but at same time you the usual suspects talking with authority and don't even have a playstation or the game for that matter
Dude you are in a thread complaining about gran turismo microtransaction and yet bosting about. Crazy microtransaction.
For everyone who don't know. You have to pay those licences, the cars and the track. And pay monthly fee or annual fee with discount.
The monatasionnin iracing is disgusting
Ok this is scummy
Lmfao. Same shit dude. You cant race if you don't pay them. Even tho you bought the damn game. Stop making excusesiracing is based around DLC, not microtransactions. Get it right.
As I said before, I'm happy to pay for quality DLC if it were to exist for GT7 instead of them creating a rewards system that is geared around microtransactions. Get rid of the microtransactions and create high quality additional content that people would be happy to pay more for if they are still playing the game and want it. Simple.
As it is sport mode isn't fleshed out enough for them to be boasting about free car and track updates in order to allow everyone to race the same content online when there is such a pitiful amount of weekly races.
It's also bullshit.
It's like being asked to tip at a drive-through restaurant. Like ... no man, and don't ask.
why do you do this?

You mean taking someone's screenshot after they brought credits and blurring it out poorly enough that people can still read it and pretending it pops up after a race or are you all in for the forced real money transactions that everyone has to do to finish the game.Ok this is scummy
