REAL Media Create Charts: 24 - 30 July

Guys, what happened to those charts that stated "x consecutive months of DS outselling PSP",etc. those were hilarious and would look even funnier now.

I'm afraid to see what DS sales will look like this December.

The GAF sales threads in the last week of 2005 were awesome because the DS sold like 600,000 in a week. Poor KHII didn't have a chance. :lol

Don't know if any of this is spot on:

"SD Gundam G Generation (PSP) - initially thought to sell 40,000, but first day reservations exploded to three times that. Seems like 150,000 have been sold so far. PSP is still on sale at Amazon Japan.

Rhythm Tengoku (GBA) and Polar Demon Boundary (PSP) both sold about 30,000. Says something about Starfox Command being in the Metroid class? Maybe it means it'll sell about 40,000 in its first week?"

If someone can check through Sinobi to double-check please...

Seems strange thatGundam would sell that well as it's only on #3 place on the Amazon charts behind the DS Lite and Love&Berry (release date 11/22).

jesusraz's right. sinobi says that gundam met expectations, it had 4 ten thousand preorders and first day sales exploded into 3 times that quantity. Its sold out at some shops so the number for the week report could be 150k.

Rhythm and Makaimura may reach 30k for the week (not first day) but digestibility was quite good and good reactions to the games. Seems they are going to have good word of mouth to push some more sales.

It says something about Metroid for Starfox and that it will depend on word of mouth...

Anyway, I want the numbers, its easier :)

Can we have the full size of this one (without the ~~~~~ gap)? Hard to see how big it is in proportion to the others... and it looked really funny last time.

So wait, were hardware numbers confirmed by that image? Or is that one week ago?
That's the Famitsu image, which is always a week behind the Media Create data. A big reason we tend to focus on Media Create around here. The Media Create numbers became confirmed, but it was a smaller deal this week since we gained nothing new. Usually in the past month the unconfirmed numbers have been correct, but excluded the lower systems.

Why isn't Opera listed?

It is currently only sold through Nintendo's online store, and online orders aren't tracked. I believe NPD is the same way.

And Shaberu! DS Oryouri Navi is?

I believe it let's you play Game & Watch games while waiting for items to cook, so yes. :p

Some clarification, yes these are basically early unconfirmed numbers from tracking so far. It usually gives an indication of the performance of the software but not the total numbers of the week. Tengoku is also a GBA game with minimal promotion, so I don't think it would be unreasonable for Nintendo to have shipped a lower initial shipment.
