Speaking of the companies as they stand today (leaving the giants behind basically), CzechVR and VirturalRealPorn for european performers, WankzVR and naughty america and badoinkvr for American performers I would say.
CzechVR and WankzVR being the best in their respective stuff, since they are the most consistently solid, while stuff like NA VR content sometimes does some really stupid stuff like having the performer suddently put their head outside of the FOV of the movie..

That is merely a limitation of what they perceive as the market for that, not a limitation of technology, although if the immersion non gamers tend to feel in games translates into VR porn, seeing people of the genre you are not attracted to might become a genuine issue, in the end though don't really think this POV only thing is going to last much longer, czechVR already does frequently non POV stuff, and they have more or less been leading the way as far as camera stuff goes, so would be surprised if other companies don't follow them on this.

Yes no idea how but it is possible, since VR porn companies are releasing videos for PSVR, and I believe there is some conversion tool to convert gearvr, oculus/vive ones to formats that fit PSVR, now idea how that works, I assume its a ratio thing.

Their tech being subpar (and I do agree with you on that, especially their latest stuff) doesn't mean the content doesn't exist, though. And scale (and sensitivity to it) is personal enough that I tend to let people decide on their own instead of just flat out telling them not to watch things because I think the scale is off.

I've barely watched any flat porn since getting into VR. If you're seeing giant women then you're visiting the wrong sites or watching really old videos. Wankz, Naughty America, BaDoink, CzechVR all have normal sizes although it can depend on your own IPD compared to how far the cameras are placed apart by the studio.

Badoinkvr has gotten their stuff straight since then (roughly around August I think), they have even launched a parody spin off if thats your thing.

As for free samples (trailers), websites like (NSFW http://3dpornreviews.com ) have them, so do other websites like (NSFW https://vrporn.com ), also a lot of websites do provide trailers for their stuff.

That is not what causes simulation sickness though, certainly not on high end VR, what causes simulation is low frame rates (most vr movies are shot at 60fps for this reason) and variable frame rates, a disconnect between the camera and what you are doing aka camera moving without you moving, and delayed tracking.
All of this is are solved problems in high end VR (no idea about gearvr), obviously the camera moving by itself is a content problem, but not really one that exists in any half decent VR production.

Yeah, we checked it out when we first got my Rift and it was crazy. I'm fairly certain I know what site you checked out (as THAT Riley video was kinda the standard flag-bearer for what the industry could do in VR) and that site tends to get the scale, the intimacy, and actual feeling of what it's like to be there too.

As for my (and by proxy, my wife's) impressions:

VR has the potential to be an absolute game changer for the adult sector. Sure, it's still in the very early phases of figuring things out and there are a couple key problems (scale, clarity, lack of 360 degrees, etc) but there are some sites out there really pushing the envelope.

For me, the biggest difference between this and traditional stuff is that a large proportion of traditional videos are more voyeuristic; you're watching in on something and you're relatively detached. Even with POV stuff, it really more feels like "oh it's the camera guy that's nailing the actress" rather than you. VR completely demolishes this and gives you a completely new experience. Currently at its best, the porn VR companies are realizing they no longer are selling a voyeuristic experience but are selling closeness, intimacy, and essentially a Girlfriend Experience. Things that you couldn't give a shit about before like positioning, eye contact, and so forth are the things that you notice immediately. There were videos where an actress goes in for a kiss and I reflexively back up since I was sitting next to my wife and it just felt too real. In addition, more than ever things like bad acting or fake performances stick out immediately. Cuts interrupt your sense much more jarringly now.

Having said that, there are a number of issues as I alluded to previously. Scale is something that some sites are still having trouble with, and sometimes videos feel more like Death by Snu-Snu. Similarly, the resolution is still fairly low for a lot of sites, and most sites are still doing only 180 degrees, meaning you look too far to the left and right, you're gonna see black and you're immediately taken out of the scene. But these are issues that the industry will certainly figure out as the technology improves.

You don't get motion sickness from simply turning your head. For example, no one gets car sickness sitting in a parked car. It's the disconnect between your eyes seeing your surroundings moving but not feeling your body moving that causes the dizzyness.

I downloaded more videos, ones that are "3D" and everything is still 2D and the people are still extremely tall. Even if I set the playback to spherical 3D it displays as 2D or just doesn't display at all. Unless these companies find a way to make 3D videos a point and click style thing I don't think VR porn or other video will take off.

Not everyone thinks CzechVR's scale is perfect. As someone who has met performers, it's good, but it's not as bang on exact as people make it out to be (neither is Wankz, for that matter). I do wish that more people would adopt their moving camera stuff, though. Could do a lot of cool things with that. And even beyond that, with a few exceptions, I'm just not that into Euro performers.

I guess it's the best I've seen so I can't comment on how it could be improved.

By the way, do you mind telling what brought you to AEE? Are you working in the adult industry?
