That set off an entire discussion that didn't contain enough, 'that's fucking gross' or 'pick someone else'. Dudes really want to go back to the 1800's. Knowing damn well they ain't gonna be the elite but they'll be working the farm for the elite.

At least they can finally see some slaves and marry their cousin or some shit

Finally read through that long paragraph at the end of the Deadpool 2 teaser and it is in fact a somewhat accurate summary of The Old Man and the Sea from what I remember of that book.

Thanks for the kind words! Honestly, our Program Manager deserved his firing, and he passed a lot of his work to me anyways - so it's not going to be a HUGE departure for me. Especially since staff were more likely to come to me than to him. They're looking to open up the position with the new program year in July, although behind closed doors I was told that it was a formality that had to be done, so there's a more than good chance that this is a permanent promotion unless I royally fuck things up. I'm being asked to maintain some of my current job duties, but a lot of what I do now will be divvied up. My pay rate is also going up to that of what the Program Manager is making, so I'm making a good $4.50/hr more. I'll be making $41/hr moving forward, which honestly has me in shock.

I'm always looking to improve my craft, so I'll take all of the recommendations I can get. There's obviously a lot of overlap between the private sector and non-profit world, but I am program manager for a Non-Profit overseeing a large Youth program. I have about 55-60 or so staff that I'm overseeing.

Hmmm...most of my project/program management experience is in software development, so I'm not sure how much overlap there'd be with your area. Maybe some of the more general areas like scheduling, budgets, and personnel management. Let me see if I can find something more appropriate than stuff related to software engineering.

I thought that was a GAF thing, but I was reading this opinion piece on The Root about the SNL skit making fun of black names, and saw in the comments some crying about the "liberal hive mind" along with the usual "This is why Trump is going to win another 4 years" and "Make fun of Whites = not racist, make fun of Blacks = racist" brain dead arguments.

Nah it's always been floating around, usually gets trotted out by the same folk who think Fox is the last bastion of honest reporting in the world and talk about the "liberal socialist agenda".

It's a conservative talking point that drifted into high horse liberal circles.... who think they're so better because they can be friends with bigots.
