I've got a couple of great imports for y'all. not tryna dump a whole load of games on you just a couple of shining gems!
First is a game I've been loving is called
Hokuto no Ken - Seikimatsu Kyuuseishu Densetsu
It's a beat em up game based on the the Fist of the North Star anime.
And let me tell you, the textures are
gorgeous!!
the combat layout is simple with singular punch, kick, and jump buttons but combine them in the heat of battle and there are plenty of interesting combos to discover. There's also the occasional quicktime event within combat to finish off an enemy, usualy a boss. And man do you finish them in full MK glory, making their heads explode from lightning fast punches to their vital points. It's very cathartic!
The only real downside of this game as fare as I've played it there seems to be no way to skip the story cut scenes and the game does follow a rather tight narrative although it's humorously corny and easy to follow for those of us that haven't yet learned to speak japanese XP

secondly I've been captivated by an underwater game of exploration. This game is
b.l.u.e. Legend of Water
The main mode of gameplay finds you navigating the lush ocean floor looking for ruins that you see in your dreams. Along the way you solve puzzles and find stone tablets accompanied by your best friend... who happens to be a dolphin. Much like the dog in Haunting Grounds, you need to give the dolphin commands to get through these puzzles and predicaments. Unlike that dog, the dolphin always complies. Thank god!!
unfortunately there is another type of game play that is sandwiched between these bouts of swimming which is less hand-on and less english friendly. In this mode you point and click your way through the submarine station talking to the other people there to progress the story. Thankfully these segments are not long, there aren't that many rooms to explore, and you don't really need to know exactly what these people are saying to you. Just get back out there and swi~~m!
ALSO THE MUSIC IS PRETTY AWESOME and is always appropriate for the mood.
if you are emulating, then there's no reason not to try these out
(send me a message if you're having trouble finding the ROMs (*ゝω・)ノ
