Why can't you post a link?
If its truly 2016 we won't hear about it until next e3 at the earliest.
It's a torrent link. My guess is that would be frowned upon. It's easy to find. I found it through Twitter.
What will Bethesda do to Arkane once they've finished the new version of Prey 2?
How the hell could the game be a "spiritual successor" to System Shock 3 when there is no System Shock 3?
Yeah, why not upload to Scribd or something?
The scene opens on a man running through the streets of an abandoned city. The city itself is a 50’s retro / but with a layer of sci fi worked over the top. He looks around desperately, then pulls out a retro high tech device... Behind him, men dressed in black with blurred faces begin fading in like phantoms and begin to chase him. He dives into a shop reminiscent of Hopper’s “Nighthawks at the Diner”. Using his device he’s able to hack into building itself -causing a section to open up –revealing Alien ship architecture underneath. He hacks an alien sentry robot to fend off the phantoms and makes his escape. The city area is a blend of Art Nouveau / 50’s era NYC / with a subtle Sci-Fi overlay. The player makes his way back and forth through the Alien ship and the urban façade habitat.
Prey 2 (System Shock 3) concept docs have surface online. It's targeting a 2016 Q3 release.
Why's System Shock 3 being referred to here? Does Prey really fit with that series?

In no way does this sound better than the bounty hunting game HumanHead was making.
I wish HumanHead could take all that work and make it an original IP. Going off reports, that game was really close to being content complete before Bethesda pulled that shady shit they did.
I hate people like Kotaku who help stick metal rods in the wheels of these projects.
As if it wasn't stressful enough that these guys are working 3-4-5 years on a game that they truely believe in and hope it might resonate with enough people and validate the time and effort they put in and then these terrible individuals decide they need people to come see the news they just created because they can't write decent, thoughtful, well-researched, interesting and diverse articles and in-depth features that might lead to a more coherent audience rather than wasting it on spreading unresponsible leaks and false controversies.

Why the hell even slap the name Prey 2 on it. It's not like Prey was popular or anything. This should be named like a new IP since it is one...

Speaking of which, why did Bethesda pull that shit? If the game was nearly complete, why did they completely nuke the project?
Agreed. Even thoughin it happens elsewhere in this industry to varying degrees, this was blatant enough to gain exposure. It's rare we get such a peek into such shady business, so I'll definitely be sure to not support Bethesda from now on, and I'll be sure to mention what they've done here whenever this is brought up. It may be legal, but everyone is free to pass judgment on their practices.I feel the exact same way. There's no way I would ever consider supporting this project considering how Bethesda treated Human Head. Despicable stuff.

Nice try, that was my paste, I put up the second one as well.

Kotaku is an independent source. They are not part of Bethesda, obliged to Bethesda or under a contract with Bethesda. And Jason Schreier did a fine job - in fact how he handled it reminded me of how Kotaku used to be in the old days - and that is a perfect example of game journalism in its finest. His job is to report with clarity and transparency and he did that.
Mad respect to Jason.
Excellent.

Zenimax attempted to purchase the studio in an aggressive fashion. Human Head Studios is one of the only independent developers with the chops to improve id-tech.
After the hostile buyout attempt failed they couldn't continue with the project as Human Head owned parts of the tech and, according to ex-HH devs, they also have the source code. Obsidian tried to reserve engineer it, but I imagine it was too much work.
