Although, the less clone characters the better. It's absolutely silly that they potentially cut fighters with original playstyles yet Lucina got in without a different moveset from Marth. Awakening story be damned, she should have been different or not been in at all.

No, I was the first one to post that on GAF.

It was a /v/ thread, and it was before all the other pictures leaked. No one knew where the icons of DHD, Shulk, etc. had come from. Then the Duck Hunt Dog picture appeared and the CSS popped up.

I know that the idea of slots is a myth because the work involved in a clone is so much less than the work involved in a new character, but I hope this is a fake because the idea of a pallet-swap being presented as a separate character makes me unreasonably pissed.

I was surprised myself that it wasn't here first. I saw it a week ago on N4G. I would've created the thread myself but I'm still a junior.

Nintendo is crazy so this would be par for the course.

I took the liberty to edit it a little bit to show how similar these two pictures are. It's not perfect but it gives an indication on how similar these two pictures are. And for anyone saying that it could be a model re-use, hop off, that's bullshit. Each character has a production-quality model for Smash that they pose for character portraits. There are no re-used assets from other games.

My point about all of this is how a leaker has the potential take a picture and modify it heavily, tweaking the proportions so that it can be differentiated from other existing art. Especially this leaker, all he needed to do was a minor job because his low quality cell phone photos are able to mask any imperfections. As I was modifying this it was really suspicious as to how these two faces matched up so well with each other. The fact that their poses in both photos are hands-on-hip photos also raises some questions.

People said the same thing about Toon Link's name when Brawl's roster leaked. The character's name isn't really any indication of real or not.
