I can totally believe that Jeff Kickstarted Shadowrun: Hong Kong. Being the distinguished journalist that he is, it would explain why he's never mentioned his deep-rooted love of the Shadowrun franchise, nor his devotion to this new thing called "Shadowrun: Hong Kong."

Believe it.
OMG. Where do I get the shadowrun info? I am dying to play the new game.

The Official Thread, of course.

What was the game Jeff and Brad were talking about in this weeks bombcast that they thought was in Beta already. Jeff said he bought it thinking he could play right away but couldn't and Brad said he was about to buy it too. It's not on Steam they said.

Happy birthday, Metal Gear Scanlon! One year ago today, you were birthed into this world and have given us a year of pure entertainment and making us feel the gamut of emotions.

Just got done browsing through some old videos on the site and man, has it been 7 years already? Feels like just yesterday I was rushing home from college classes to catch a new episode of the Persona 4 endurance run.

Giant Bomb has consistently been a huge part of my leasurely entertainment for 7 years now. My wife and I watch pretty much every video they put up.

GB content has got me through a couple of rough periods and I'm really just starting to realize how much it's been a part of my life in these last 7 years.

Hah, you think you're late game.

Well there are only what, 3 or 4 quests left? granted those quests can take like two hours each, but still. I just
killed imlerith and the crones and I'm on "final preparations."
. I'm taking a break from main quests right now to do all the scavenger hunts I never did, because the first piece of master crafted armor I got from the blacksmith was Witch Hunters armor, which is ugly as sin and I couldn't get over how bad it looked in all those rad cutscenes.

I actually switched back to Undvik armor just because it's cooler looking. These scavenger hunt quests suck though. Super unfun. After 60 hours I'm tired of all the detective stuff.

I don't know what it is, but Super Mario Maker is interesting to me ever since I saw you can chance what character you play as. I have no attachment to the franchise whatsoever and would never touch the level editor but 8 bit waluigi is getting to me.

What you're describing probably took me about 5-10 hours :p

I don't usually use any guides during my first playthrough but I definitely am glad I did just for Witcher gear locations.

So I've got that on top of the ton of contracts and scavenger hunts I still have to do. And ten days to do it.

It's just tedious. It feels like they were designed for you to do throughout the game while you were doing other stuff, but if you're doing each quest all at once you're going to go nuts. Fast travel here, go to some dumb cave. Fast travel somewhere else, go to some dumb cave that's ten miles from the nearest fast travel point.

Yeah. I love about 95% of the Witcher 3 to death but the way they disperse loot in that game leaves a lot to be desired. Especially since the Witcher gear is so much better than anything random you'll ever find or purchase.

That's why I just said screw it and got my Griffin gear via guide when I was the level for it. I was sick of looking like a psychotic chef with big oven mitts on.

The best looking armor is the one you start with.

Yep... though this Eternal Fite Executioner's Armour isn't bad at all...

also I have a crap ton of stuff in the "other" bit of my inventory, is it worth breaking it down for crafting stuff or should I just sell it all?

I find that most of the armor I find gets me by, especially when it's something that has something fancy like extra vitality. Plus, the way armor works, I'm finding that Heavy armor works the best for me. Resistances are so much more important than raw armor value, within a certain range. I'm just starting to get into using decoctions and using the spinny sword technique and putting points into my alchemy stuff now at like, level 30, so that's why I'm shifting more towards light and medium armor since you use a lot of stamina with the alchemy tree and some of the decoctions.

As for weapons, are the witcher ones even worth getting? I love doing contracts because that's where you get rad magic weapons that set people on fire.

The best looking armor is the one you start with.

The best looking armor is undvik and the best haircut is the Mohawk plus pony tail and I will fight to the death over both of these opinions

Asking again because I'm sure someone here knows:

How much of ground zeros do I have to complete to unlock things in the phantom pain?

Just finished the Peace Walker Metal Gear Scanlon. Dan just recounting the trailers without asking Drew if he cares about Phantom Pain spoilers is kind of dickish. The idea that no way they give away major spoilers is a bit naive, especially when you go into informed speculation about quick imagery. I haven't been actively avoiding spoilers, but I haven't been seeking trailers out either. Already felt Dan gave away a bit much.

He gets excitable and it happens. None of it was a huge deal and im 90% certain Drew will have forgotten whatever dan told him by the time the game hits anyway.

yea, i was avoiding all the trailers and Dan is telling us about them like it's nothing. i had to quickly skim a bit to avoid the rest. he should save all that stuff for a MGSV trailers ep or something.

I get it, but

A) Drew just finished watching Peace Walker and was still digesting that. Not really the time to discuss TPP, especially given he hasn't seen the trailers nor had he played any Ground Zeroes.
B) You're putting this video online and maybe exposing a bunch more people to spoilers they didn't want to hear. I think spoiler culture does have a tendency to go overboard, but the game isn't even out yet. At least give some warning.

"Who is that? Is that Campbell?"

I think Dan has a Master Miller blindness/deafness. He mistook Miller for Ocelot in Peace Walker too.
