I hope the anime thread could be the right place for this too:

There's a Murata(OPM manga artist) livestream . He 's drawing , listening to epic OSTs and replying questions.

He says he really loves the opm anime and thinks is one of the best he's seen so far.

The stream started like 10 hours ago, and it's still on.

Was getting caught part of your plan?
I watched through the series and got up to date with the Murata manga yesterday.

All I have to say is thank you for bringing this series to my attention GAF.

OPM appealed to casual anime watchers and people who watch a lot of the new stuff, so it had a pretty high chance of winning.

While the manga doesn't have enough material, I do wonder if 12 episodes would actually be enough episodes to cover all the content to the end point everyone's thinking of.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Waiting for a possible S2 will be brutal.

Is there even enough manga material so far ? Doubt it...

Murata should just be entering the biggest and best parts of the next arc which is as long of not longer than everything from season 1. I'd say we see the a season 2 in 2 years time, maybe a little longer so Murata can finish the next arc or get most of it done and reveal all the redesigned characters so if nothing else Madhouse can finish the story using ONEs material.

So the 3rd special episode released, and baaaaaw, I loved Ino. Also it pretty mucho covers what Sonic did after he got punched in the balls and why Saitama was in the forest.

I'll watch it later. I'm glad we're past the Genos ones since the rest are really what I'm more looking forward to.

Eh, they want to sell copies of the single. It is a shame though since good English covers of Japanese songs are hard to come by.

I've seen no evidence that foreign language covers of songs hurt the sales of the original (can you even buy the Jam Project song in the States? Do the Japanese distributors actually think a large number of Americans are going to import shit?). Basically "Japan going to Japan". Fuck them!

OVA 3 is out.

One Punch Man OVA 3 - The Ninja Who is To Complicated

Sonic having nightmares about being punched in the dick by Saitama was good. But other then that, Sonic isn't really an interesting character to focus on. He's good for one off gags or being paired with other people but as the main I wasn't enthralled.

Rewatching the show again and love the really quick cameo shot of the main villain of the next major arc they snuck in there. Most non manga readers probably didn't even notice the significance. Really good there is a season 2 as the final battle outdoes the Boros fight with ease.

I haven't watch any anime since Toonami / Dragon Ball Z like 15(?) years ago. I'm really digging this show, 6 episodes in. The fact that I can legit get a couple of chuckles out of each episode is great. And I really hope Saitama ever gets his due.

What's up with the very normally dressed female vocalist? She looks out of place.
Okui Masami is great. JAM Project used to have another female too (voice actor for Ash from Pokemon) but she decided to focus more on voice acting, which is what she was originally anyway.

Forgive my ignorance, but what actually is the hold up with a second season? It seems the show did really well in Japan, so you'd think they would want to keep the momentum going. And as far as I know the manga is already far enough ahead that there wouldn't be any issues with running out of material. So what's the problem?

This seems to happen with a lot of anime. Attack on Titan felt even more popular than OPM and it's probably going to end up having had a 3 year gap between the first and second season. I don't understand it.

Both of the problems are the same. Not enough material.

You may be thinking of the webcomic by ONE of OPM, the original version. The manga is an adaptation of that.

The original web-comic is far enough ahead for a new season, but not the Murata redraw, which the show is based on. We are partway through the next arc at the moment.
