Don't see how Emily was proven wrong when her tweet about Mother 3 was that it was happening in 2016. It's June. She was also right about voice acting in the new Zelda. It seems like people are desperate to discredit her.
Did she ever respond? Her tweets are protected.

She got correctly that Zelda was coming to both Wii U and NX (kind of expected) and there would have been VA (that was not expected) while female option was considered by Anouma. 2/3 with the other not completely unfounded is not bad. Something similar happened with Gematsu's Smash rumours: they were absolutely on point at start (Wii Fit trainer was like VA in Zelda, a way-too-specific detail to guess correctly that easily), but they were wrong on Chrom and Chorus Kids. Then, through interviews, we've become aware they were indeed a thing at one point, then dropped.
So, yeah, right now Emily's credibility is still in a pretty good spot right now. And I want to highlight "right now", because...well, if Mother 3 doesn't show up at all this year (I don't think she specified E3 at any time, just that it was going to be announced this year), that will hurt her credibility much more considerably, especially if it happens with no explanation on the matter (like happened instead for female option in Zelda). And she wouldn't be the only one who would see her credibility lowered.

The detailed Eurogamer vouching isn't anything to ignore, so I think that they just don't have it ready yet. I imagine they would want to do an "available now" release like they did for Earthbound and Beginnings.
At this point they are waiting for NX or something, I can't see Nintendo dropping it just like that.So is the Mother 3 hype officially dead?
Honestly, I'd prefer that to having it on the Wii U.At this point they are waiting for NX or something, I can't see Nintendo dropping it just like that.

Oh shit Rhythm Heaven is out now!? Guess I'm gonna have to pick that up!
BTW I remember when the Pokemon stuff was announced for E3, there was mention of some sort of "Pokemon E3 Special" at 10 AM EST June 16th. I missed most of the stream today, so I'm wondering: Any new details on what this entails?
She correctly predicted Paper Mario on the Wii U and she predicted that Zelda would have voice acting. Plus she knows people in the industry.
I still trust her.
It is still listed on the announcement page: http://www.pokemon.co.jp/info/2016/06/160602_e01.html
I guess I understand that but man Mother 3 is a big enough bomb drop that I think it would have been fine to do it without it being an available now release.
She actually put a poll on Twitter like a week before E3 asking people about when they thought Mother 3 would be announced. E3 was an option, so was Fall 2016Yes. She says she never said it'd be at E3, just 2016, and that there are still six months left.
Some people just want to see the world burn.

aaaand he's dead.

She deserves zero credit for the Wii U/NX cross-platform. That was obvious.
VA was a huge hope and certainly a possibility. She didn't mention the extent of VA which makes it easier.
We here at Destructoid have heard that the playable female character may very well be Linkle, who was introduced recently in Hyrule Warriors Legends, but like all rumors take these with a grain of salt.

This will be the perfect cherry to top off two surprisingly great days of Nintendo E3 goodness

I guess I could just follow her.
So Federation Force was a no show? It's dated for August...
Rogers wasn't really that far off base about female option for Zelda, I mean Aonuma did admit that the idea was at least explored.
I'm at least glad he's on the 'Zelda would be the playable female character' side of things. Zelda's in the title, she should be playable first.
Just like Zelda is probably the first voiced character in the series.
I don't think Nintendo themselves would use the term "lost cause," but it is what it is at this point. So Federation Force was a no show? It's dated for August...
That's midna
Did they end up showing #FE?
