They sure are doing a lot to not say that this dude is white. If my black ass was shopping across the street my profile would be all over the place within seconds.

Whats wrong with 6?

Not a damn thing, actually. It's a really good game. I own it.

It's also a fairly recent release, though, so that price (coupled with the fact I bought someone Tekken 7 recently, and the amount of money I've had to spend this month... whew).

Maybe on your birthday, old man, I got like CDN$29 left to my entertainment budget. LOL.

Morning bct

US netflix too? I don't think I've seen it while browsing.

Sorry I feel asleep but I have no idea anyway. Haven't bothered with US Netflix in a while. I'm content with what I get here.

Smiles and Cries, I kinda agree to an extent. Those places will always function as a gathering ground and if allowed great ideas can be brought forth and the community may decide to run with it for all our benefits. The hard part is getting allowance to speak about other things.

Can you still even access it? They made it hard as hell, so I gave up on using any service to bypass the Canadian front.

Oh yeah that happened.
I don't know. Perhaps if I change dns and use the vpn in the router? I know that's what I used to do before.

Level with me. Have you played all the games in your Steam account? I know I haven't.
All in my GoG account tho

Absolutely not. I've been working through it, though. I've got something like 350 games in my account. I'd say I've played about 100 of them, I've completed (not necessarily 100%'d) something like 80 of those, the rest are in purgatory because I didn't like the game, or I lost enjoyment, or my save vanished and I had no motivation to go back to it, or it just can't be completed in the conventional sense.

4x games are the only games where i lose all sense of time

"Let me set a few things up

*Click, Click, Click,*

Damn why is it dark outside?

The immersion is strong. Once you're in, you're in. I have to make sure I have no other priorities when I boot them up.

Are there any 4X games on consoles?

Yeah. Any particular console? I can list some for you.

You probably have a better completion rate than most. I don't even look at the Steam store front anymore because I have too much that I won't ever touch.

It's all because I do that 52 Games A Year challenge. Completed it the last 2 years, about halfway through just now. Just take jabs at some of the shorter titles in your library, Diz, might spark something.

No offense to my Christian and Muslim family here, but until we see our life here and now as just as worth the success and happiness as the promised after-life we put out hopes on. We will always feel like a victimized and cursed people needing saving. To touch and work on real things of substance... Not just feeling blessed, but actually knowing and using your talents and your brain for something physical, touchable, that you don't need to believe in for it to prosper.

I feel we like our suffering too much.

Interesting what you say about Haiti. It resonates. Faith is something that we draw strength from, but it has also been used as a tool to control us. Black people will have to come to terms with their spirituality, to take control of it. Religion hasn't done us many favors, but spirit is also something messages out there will tell us either to become obsessed with or to ignore completely. I think body-mind-spirit balance is something we need to start grasping on to.

We need better schools, that will reach our kids and actually teach them instead of just flinging facts and events at them.

that slow network I mention will probably rely on the black church as an already existing network, but that's only until other networks are established. using what is there for practicality sake, plus its been done before in other societies. BUT they didn't stay aligned under the church, that Protestant work ethic was based on that ancient battle of 'works over faith' and it didn't stay there. And the strength that black people draw from community won't stay in the church context either, it will become a part of the concrete, part of the fabric of society. Not because of the example of the church but because of community and how everyone is involved and contributes.

re: suffering...interesting thought. but I don't necessarily agree. I would say we are accustomed to suffering, not that we like it or are even comfortable with it.

breaking outside of the confines of the American mindset will be key for people here in America. Reconnect with Africa, connect with South America, connect with South Asia, places in development that some of that black billions could go into making spaces for black and brown people to thrive.

Sch1sm you have a way better ratio than I do...but doesn't that kinda point to too many games? 🙃
I have 330 in my library and I've probably only completed 25ish and played 30 more. GoG account is 100% though and then again it's only like 20 games there.

Nothing you're gonna find that screams Civ/Endless Legends/AoW, but there is this. Most recent one, anyway. Planar Conquest.

I played it a bit on Steam, ended up refunding it due to game breaking bugs at the time, so I didn't get far and can't say much about it.

There's also Arcade Archives: KiKi KaiKai, which is classic and just a tenner in the store.

Not much in general, though, I can think of maybe one other title, at best.

You know, you might be onto something.
This... scheduling and structure thing you're talking about... It's intriguing.
All jokes aside, i could see clearing a lot of these smaller games if I actually gamified the gaming while I game.

Not much.

You ?

LOL.

Preparing for work. Only have a few hours to do today, if lucky the meetings will go fast, then just family time. My lovely little nieces and nephews are coming over for midsummer so I have to clean up and find that damn Dora the Explorer dvd.
