What the fuck is that...
It's just Patrick Wilson, don't be mean.
What the fuck is that...
edit: The Insidious demon always bothered me, I think they needed to either tone down the design(and remove his hair, seriously the hair is so prominent) or have him a little out of focus. As it is you get too good a look at it for too long hence, you know, Darth Maul.
Mulholland Drive
Not a good movie overall, but I liked this scene (from Bava's Shock)
Signs
I didn't even like the movie but that scene almost gave me a heart attack.
Yah. I'm a seasoned horror addict. Begotten is one of the few films that gets me deep. Fucking nightmare. This movie was quite unsettling. Even when I see the dude with that as his avatar I get creeped out a bit.
Not a good movie overall, but I liked this scene (from Bava's Shock)
Annabelle would go on to use this
They require a lot more context than a gif can show, but Fire Walk With Me is a very haunting film.
NOPE-ing out of this thread now.
Lake Mungo
Not gifs but here are some creepy shots of the creepiest movie i ever watched.
The Grudge
The Exorcist
This is the first time I'm hearing that Fire Walk with Me had anything scary in it. Never seen it.
Never seen this, but Big Ed's in it so now it's on my list. The people under the stairs
This is probably a long-shot but I'm going to ask here. I'm trying to find the scene and the name of the movie, the only scene that I remember was from a YouTube video.
My recollection of the scene; two people are held captive in what looks like a dungeon, and a robed person enters the scene (possibly bald), and proceeds to skin one of the captives alive.
If any horror movie experts know what this movie is based on my shitty recollection then you are awesome!
You're welcome.
Baskin
also this one from American Werewolf forest scene creeped me out
Maybe dagon? I know there's a skinning scene in that movie

With the exception of the slow motion, tripping-in-heels-and-righting-herself-unnaturally moment, I don't think Kairo's power can really translate into an easily digestible image, it is just an omnipresent dread that permeates every moment.I'm sad I can't find good Kaïro gifs :-(
Not a horror movie really but this scene shocked me at the time. It was just so graphic and came out of nowhere....
Shaun of the Dead.
this whole scene always scared me when I was young in Salom's Lot original
It's been mentioned before but Exorcist III for having the best jump scare ever.

Exorcist 3
This used to freak me out
Fire Walk with Me is the angriest/meanest Twin Peaks has ever been (still catching up on season 3 but I doubt it gets as dark as 'Fire').
Never seen this, but Big Ed's in it so now it's on my list.
All three are worth your time time.
For my money the most terrifying shot in film history.
Rear Window
This is actually based on a scene from George Romero's Day of the Dead.
