Just give me a good story that is earned and not just a shoehorn (which druckmann said he was very aware of and did not want to do that) told in a cool and exciting way then sign me up. Having the same story beats over all games is kinda boring.

I've read some shite in my time but that's right up there. This desperate NEED for videogames to be seen as something other than games is so unbelievably pathetic, in my opinion and I think it does the pastime more harm than good.
Let gaming stand on its own pedestal, it doesn't need to be compared to anything else.
To be honest, I think a lot of it comes from these ”journalists” seeing themselves as somehow superior to the subject they are writing about.
Just tell us how it plays, looks, sounds and if it's good value for money, then piss off till the next one needs writing about.

I just recently watched Schindler’s List and the film about made me cry. Seeing them walk into the gas chambers while holding hands and acting like they’re taking a nightly walk through the park together. It’s heartbreaking and it makes you feel like “this is too awful to be real”. I still think back on that film and feel sorry for those who lost their lives for no reason at all.
I’m sure TLoU2 will have some heavy moments. Put it in the Video Game museum if it’s so good. Write about it in Video Game History books. I think there are a lot of different emotions to take in when you talk about an average person watching a film or playing a video game. There’s certainly impactful media out there that gets interpreted differently by everyone.
There’s the crowd who won’t let their kids play violent games and they’ll never see the beauty in Naughty Dog’s work. There’s people who can’t even sit through a screening of Schindler’s List.
To an average person, what’s the point in fighting? If they have issues with one another then talk it out in person. I can’t compare the two. I can feel empathy in TLoU2 that I can’t feel anywhere else. Schindler’s List was a a film about a real man who did save the lives of Jews who were headed for death. I just can’t say I’d spend my time fighting about this.

I signed up for a Twitter account a long ass time ago (probably 10 years ago), never used it more than an hour in that entire time, and have never received email notifications... until about a week or two ago, around when George Floyd died. Feels like they're trying to get all hands on board with the current shit storm that's brewing on there.
