Can you post evidence of him doing that, so someone can call him out on that.
you mean back up a claim that their whole argument is based on??...

Almost no one si talking about the bad writing and voice acting, specially from that big monkey at the end. I haven’t played a Halo since 2 so is that the norm for the series?
Well since the graphics were glaringly bad, people couldn't move away from it to see it sucks everywhere else too. But that is too much nitpicking for Halo series as well, xbox gamers do not look for a cool/great SP campaign in a Halo since the 3rd game and it is just mainly MP game of their preference. But for me it will definitely be a let down since I was only looking forwards to a finally cool Halo campaign after whatever Halo 5 was.

While the jury is still out in the absence of higher quality assets, what we've seen so far across the board shows little to no evidence of the use of variable rate shading - a technique Microsoft is championing as a key efficiency driver in next-gen rendering.

It is. People calling it sci-fi are offending the genre (which I'm a big fan of). Halo lore sounds like aimed at young teenagers. It makes no sense at all. Aliens speak perfect English, scream like cartoon characters. Master Chief is a big bro you'd like to have at the age of 6, etc, etc. Same infantilism as Gears. MCU films are elaborate dramas in comparison to Microsoft Game Studios output.

-Playground Games probably Fable is a 2022 or later

If the rumor of it being an MMO is correct, it'll be much later.

Not only is developing a MMO notoriously difficult to develop, I dont think Playground has any experience in that Arena.

Unless they go Lobby based... but thats just not an MMO. Id really love to see more MMO's for consoles though (bonus points for Action MMO's)

I suggest people start going back and reading past DF articles (including this generation - yes, even when the PS4 was "winning" - and spanning all the way back to the PS360 generation) to draw their own conclusions. Those who don't remember or don't know, at least.

That was confirmed to be fake by multiple sources. Fable has been in development since early 2018 (Funny enough, same as most Xbox games announced) and will probably launch in 2022

At the end of the day, they are random people on YouTube. When you start talking about games from everywhere and do not simply make fps count videos, you are very likely to get biased if you are not already, it's just as most humans are. It's not even interesting anymore.

Just had a random morning thought of an analogy to describe the design philosophy of the two consoles I believe is pretty accurate. The series x is like The Mountain. The biggest most powerful person on the planet. Can lift anything better than anyone, and best anyone in a pure brute strength competition. But when it comes to a fight, the mountain is slow, lumbering, and can't transfer all of his power into his punch, to effectively use that might.

The PS5 is Bruce Lee. Mr. Lee had a slight yet athletic frame. He wasn't the most powerful man in the world, not even close. But he was the quickest, most efficient, and most accurate fighter. His punches were able to transfer all of the power within himself into a singular, bone crushing point. And he could spontaneously adapt and react to any situation thrown at him. The ps5 is like water.

Yeah... That is not how Consoles or technology works at all.

I think its something that will be hard to nail down in terms of time place and date.

But i will give you an example of what i think is going on.

These are my thoughts, on the matter.

Take the game Red dead redemption 2 for example.

I bought the game, based on reviews and feed back i got from websites.

These were 10/10,

Well, when i played the game, and i finished the whole thing i felt conned. Did the game look great, sure it did a masterpiece in looks. Some of the characters where FANTASTIC. Arthur Morgan is my man.

but the game itself, the combat was rubbish, the hunting, the fishing it was like a chore. There are so many things that were done right with the game but at the same time, there are so many things wrong too. a 10/10 laughable.
8/10 in my book, if its not fun when i play it, its not a masterpiece in my book no matter how good it looks.

but according to the review sites, this was second coming of Christ.

And here is the reason in my eyes, criticising said product basically stops you from receiving those big stay over, all inclusive paid for hotel or retreat weekends. It stops you getting those exclusive scoops, those very first interviews that brings thousands of viewers to your yard.

If you overly criticise that, you are basically biting the hand that feeds you.

I like Digital foundry, but them having that big xbox piece of silicon chip on their display case worries me alot.

I have been watching them for years now, and i can honestly say i can't put my finger on it, but i do feel they have a preference for xbox and seem to criticise sony stuff more, its like they have a loose muzzle fitted when it comes to criticising Microsoft stuff.

These are just my thoughts, no one else.

Digital Foundry = DF = Discord FUD, the truth has been exposed! LMFAO, I love when you kids write up all conspiracy theories about DF, but immediately post their analysis whenever your console of choice runs the games better, like it was especially the case in 2013-2017 untill 1X showed up, hypocrisy at its finest... While the truth is, your beef is with Sony.

did you play it on Xbox One X? if not, you got a blurry mess thats why

No they didn't lmao. The article literally just says they have plans to open a new studio

I don't know about you, but going from planning, buying, hiring and then developing all within a year sounds ridiculous
"We are looking at an entirely new leadership team for the new project, which we're in the process of hiring right now "

RIGHT NOW, as in February 2017

Only 60 out of a planned 200 were hired in mid 2019. They also talk about not having a physical location to interview = there was no second studio

I doubt its even entered full production yet. So again 2022 is unlikely.

I played it on my ps4 pro, it looked fantastic. No complaints in the looks department. I do play alot of retro games though, looks are not so important to me.

I would rather have a wife with a good personality that makes me giggle and laugh than some airhead model that looks pretty but sits there like a lump of coal. Maybe not when i was 20 years old but now, for sure :messenger_grinning:

I am not really sure how game-play is going to suddenly improve because things look prettier.

I personally have no issue with the tech analysis of DF, only Dictator's embarrassingly obvious bias. I think this is the majority opinion tbh.

In martial arts world, power and strength is measured by ability to fight efficiently and effectively to the opponent. According to your analogy, i wouldn't call Mountain is more powerful than Bruce lee. Bruce Lee is more powerful.

Sony don't own Spyro. That doesn't make sense. It can only be Jak & Daxter as they fully own it. Let's just hope they'll use the 1 as the basis (Nintendo-esque platformer) and not the GTA clones (2 & 3).
Thought the same first (Spyro is not owned by Sony), but then I didn't see any information about an exclusive/owned by sony-series. I only found that info that Cerny worked on that game series long ago.

(But, even if it's Jak and Daxtor, it's a save gues we will get a new Spyro in the style of the first three parts in the near future.)

...The article literally mentions that they VISITED the second studio, How can you visit something that doesn't exist?

"Raeburn admits it was particularly difficult in the beginning, when there physically wasn't a studio to interview them in"

THE BEGINNING, EARLY 2017. Please, stop.

Of course not, it's analogy. You know what those are right?...The series x has a more powerful GPU. But a less powerful and efficient means of feeding the data to the processor/memory. The ps5 cu operate at a much higher clock, allowing more operations to flow in and out quicker. It also utilize cache scrubbers to more efficiently prioritize the most needed data at the moment. Ps5 3d audio solution is hardware based, not bogging down the cpu. Hence the analogy brute force vs effiency.

It's not because it's an analogy, it's because it's inaccurate. You can have accurate analogies, you know?

Obviously there needed to be a physical building. They're not building it themselves are they?

Quote is right there as you pointed out, back in 2017, there wasn't even a studio to interview people they were hiring.

Edit - Wait do you mean my article talked about them visting? LMAO. Yeah, in 2019

Your article is completely unrelated to the topic. Fact is, game has been in development since early-mid 2018, and will launch in late 2022 / early 2023

Its very relevent. It tells you how early in development the game actually is. The studio wasn't even up and running in early 2018 for them to begin development on the game. In mid 2019, they only hired 60 out of the planned 200.

Lets put it into perspective. Days Gone was in full production with over 100 staff in 2017. A smaller game and it still wasn't out until 2019. But you expect Fable, a game that's on a much larger scale, that only had 60 out of the 200 planned developers, to release in 2 years?

Think on that for a minute.

Guys, the current listings on the hardware have the XSX having more power in most areas on paper. This is a fact.

What is speculation is which system uses more efficient or effective use of the hardware. This also means that effective use comes down to a game by game /dev by dev basis. Even than, outside of 3rd party games, it would be apples and oranges. Both systems are beasts. Play where you want to play. No one is really going to outright prove which system is better. May be in certain areas you can say which has the upper hand. That still doesn't add up to the bigger picture because games don't just rely on one feature.

What good is powerful hardware if your developers act like they are inbred.

GAME ENGINE DEV REACTS to Halo Infinite | Campaign Gameplay Trailer

He makes the same mistake of assuming he's watching gameplay on a Series X.

He did just pin this 3 hours ago:
So apparently this was running on a PC... however I guess it doesn't matter, because in the description of the original video it states: "captured real-time and representative of the experience on Xbox Series X running at 60FPS and up to 4K resolution" - so I guess this is what we can expect from this game on the Xbox?

I think if I remember right in the making of Kratos documentary it was stated that they were working on another project but that was cancelled so they had to make God of War the next game or be shut down by Sony.
Nah the sci fi game was in production and GoW was in pre-production. When the sci fi game shut down Cory got a bunch of people added to his team that he didn't need yet because the game wasn't in full production. Sony never threatened to shut down SSM, they had literally just moved into a huge new office.
