It messed something up, I simply reset the graphics tab to default and modified it again.
Working great now, the patch definitely made the fps more stable but it's not a significant boost.

Man I really want to sympathize with people having issues and people on console but this is honestly one of my favorite games ever made easily. I keep thinking the whining isn't going to result in a better game it's going to be more stuff like their stock value dropping and we don't get another game like this as a result. I'd like to be wrong but this is 2020.

That's the least of my issues TBH. But invert-Y, that's something I can't do without. And to have that being reset is annoying as fuck.

Well, this patch did jack shit for me, everything seems the same. The problem areas when driving through densely populated areas are still there and ultra wide is still an issue.

Nice, that's good to hear. If Quality mode is as good as you're saying, I might just have to play on that in 30fps...was hoping for 60fps, but I don't want to sacrifice the game missing the density.
I hear there's also another smaller fix/patch that's supposed to drop soon (already drilled for PS4/5 and PC). I'll wait for that before starting the game.

Random thought: Can you really do a comprehensive(not 100%, just deep) playthrough on Hard difficulty in this game and finish in 20hrs. on the first playthough like people were reporting? I'm thinking I'll spend half that amount of time in the menu system learning and tweaking everything.

Did the same, you need at least 65GB (same size as the game) because It makes a temporary copy of the game and applies the patch.

I just can’t see how it’s possible. Even just doing straight story missions it’s around 5 hours to the title card.

Enemy AI seems more or less fine, that's why I said "ambient AI". For instance, gang members having a shootout not 50ft away from a group of cops doing an investigation of a crime scene and the cops don't even bat an eye at the bullets flying past their heads. Edit: You can definitely see some of that Witcher 3 DNA, what with NPCs that just walked around in circles aimlessly, bumping into each other. Don't get me wrong, I freaking LOVE the game, but it is definitely not without its flaws.

Oh right, I get what ya mean and yeah, I've encountered it. Like when I pass a bunch of cops abiding the law and they start shooting me for no reason, even though my character is white. Makes no sense.

I'm transitioning to my new computer so currently playing on my old 980, heading to a 10700k/3080 by tomorrow so thinking with DLSS/RT on, there'll be no need for HDR regardless

I can now fire infinite rockets with no cooldown from my forearm. Maybe there's a downside I'm not seeing, but that seems broken.

No way Jose. The side content is huge apparently. I haven't had as much time as some to delve into this (I'm still setting up for the job with Dex, but damn this game is compelling ) the whole first-person aspect works really well. Just did the braindance thing and that was a tonne of fun.

I'm 35 hours in and the quest trackers show 30%, 10%, and 10% respectively. Not to mention all the open world stuff. Game is crazy big, wait till you leave the city and se that there is a whole freaking mad max desert to play in.

Sorry about the [apparently] stupid question, but where is the ammo counter? Do pistols have unlimited ammo or something? What am I missing here? The firefight was frantic so I really didn't have a chance to glace around my HUD that much. Thanks.

Haven't seen this posted yet from Schreier. He has a pretty nebulous headline but the short version is that CDPR are now guaranteeing staff bonuses which were previously tied to Metascore (such a fucked practice).
Hopefully that should be a relief for those hardworking folks that at least now they get a big payday regardless of outside factors. This is actually an extra financial bonus on top of the profit sharing they're entitled to by default. Nice news for them I hope!

There's an option in preferences that excludes games with 'Nudity or Sexual Content' and as example games Cyberpunk is at the top of the list. Once you change that it will show as the Top Seller. So, been playing a lot, go check with Vik for any new upgrades, get a tarot reading from Misty before heading to a nearby gang event for some cash, only to realize I couldn't use any of my weapons, or items; all character actions were blocked, and stamina and health unviewable.
I went through half-hour of autosave and tracked it down to a reproducible bug: head back to the Nomad camp after the Storm mission and talk to Panam, and the game will disable actions during the convo but won't re-enable afterwards. Reloading/restarting doesn't work, and neither does getting killed. Might be possible to fix with another event that properly disables/re-enables it, but probably best to avoid.
Edit: FUCK. Checking out the bug, I forgot to make a manual save after getting control back. Now all my autosaves are fucked with me unable to use weapons, and my last manual save is over an hour old. Not as bad as it could be, and I'll check if I can fix it, but fuck.
Edit2: Got control back. A cutscene that takes control from you should give it back. Failing that, a joytoy visit will work, if anyone else encounters this at some point.

I've turned down quite a bit including turning off RT lighting and shadows and the game still looks great and now it runs at 60FPS for me.
I actually have it at 1080p; and TBH there's something weird about this game where I can barely tell the difference between that and 4k... other than massive perf difference.

There is a slow hardrive option somewhere in the options I heard. I bought a new SSD just for this game rather than free up space (and then after that realized I had like 40GB unpartitioned on my old one and didn't need it, but fuck it, I was getting sick of constantly managing it lol).
