Really getting into the game as I'm starting to understand better how it works. The main quest characters look so good! Their animations and the lighting all make it look so so impressive.

The world also looks beautiful every corner you turn. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this. When you compare this to something like Observer, which is basically just one building, and you think that this game is like 1000 times that, and you add rich quests, characters, voice acting, ray tracing, driving, etc., it's just mind boggling.

Now, there are some things that could be improved. I wish there was a way to hid the HUD easily during gameplay. Second, I wish collecting all nearby loot was easier (perhaps some auto-loot feature).

ever wonder where NPC keep their phones ? now you know
She ate that phone just 3hrs ago. Nice strong colon on that girl.

This is game is simply breathtaking. Can't wait 'til modders sink their teeth into it.

P.S.- If you have a high enough Nomad Engineering score you can comment on Jackie's bike. I was 1 point too low at the time to give him advice on it. Nice little detail, though.

Can anyone tell me what the default HDR settings on the xbox are? I think it was like 500 - ? - 2.0 but I can't remember what the default paper white setting is. Thanks in advance.

I think that's correct

So umm isn't there a day 1 patch for this game? I haven't seen it install on my xbox the game is still sitting at 59 gb and I've reinstalled the game game and still nothing, anyone know what's up with this.

That seems right

Okay. Now that I have 15 RAM to play around with, I'm just shocking/blinding/overheating bad guys from far away and walking in collecting loot from all the dead bodies like a real badass.

How did you get so much ram, show your skills tree

Playing for two days, almost 10 hours behind. PC, Steam.
At first, launcher didn't launch the game. Press the Run button, nothing happens. Verify integrity found one file corrupted and it helped.

Game is gorgeous! I've spent this 10 hours mostly walking on the street of the city. My i7-7700K + GTX 1080 perform better than I thought - medium to high settings on 1080p, good 60 fps almost everywhere. Completed first couple of missions, loved the gunplay. Overwhelmed by huge amount of loot, selling everything.

Of course, there are some problems. Can't bind Left Ctrl to crouch toggle. Didn't like the driving - why view doesn't rotate with the car? Also, the game doesn't remember I want to drive a car in third person.

But all this will be patched or modded eventually. I already can say, this is one of the best game I've played.

Imagine if they let rockstar to do npc's ai for them and various of open world activities. It would be truly incredible game but now it's just great graphics and story and nothing else really

Are they aware of the broken deadzone and ADS sens on console or even the broken HDR? Every console related feature is bugged AF... thankfully im not playing this early access game until the nextgen patch so they have a few months to fix these issues...

Is it better to sell objects and weapone to make money or scrap them for parts?!

I'm only 5 hours in but the soundtrack is fucking phenomenal, onestly better than the graphic for now.

according to reddit is shit 2/10, so what you talking about.
The internet thrives off outrage dope. Game has been out 2-3 days and from what I've seen and played PC is doing great. Next-gen consoles also look good, with X1X just needing to get up to 30fps in those heavy sequences.

Base consoles have been relegated to the Switch port category. Welcome to next gen, reddit.

Might as well weigh in on the base ps4 version while I download an 18 gig patch

Yeah it doesn't run great, and it looks a bit ass a lot of the time, but theres a damn good game under all that. And it has its moments where it can look pretty damn good too. I'm just piss farting around at the beginning of act 2, and having a pretty good time as a stealthy hacker, street kid, who does what they can to avoid gun fights.

My best comparison for it so far from this gen would be Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Runs and sometimes looks like a turd, but scratch beneath that and there's a pretty engaging and unique game in there. I guess it would all depend on ones tolerance for frame rates, resolutions etc. Personally mines pretty high, but mileage will vary of course.

That all said, this whopping huge patch better get it running better

Had to uninstall FF7R to make room for the latest patch. Goodbye Jessie my love

Ha. Yup. I had to get rid Yakuza 0

Wait - what? I was able to comment on it, but I didn't realize there's a faction stat/score that would've determined whether I could. Is this info shown somewhere?

It's off to the side of the dialog option and said [nomad] 5/6 and it was blurred. You first get to comment, then if you walk around the back of the bike the options will switch to just being able to say something about his muffler/tailpipe. Similar with the comments you make to Militech Bitch about her convey security. I don't know what it would say if you were Corpo or Street Kid.

Any idea how you raise this 'stat'?

What's the hotkey for putting your gun away?
I think on keyboard it's double-tapping Alt. On controller, double-tap Y/triangle.

No idea. I figured at the time it was tied to something in the opening sequence I just waved by on my way to the city. I'll see if I have a save near that point in the game so I can show you.

Weird. I just didn't realize it had a point system tied to it. So far, it's always been an option (or so it seems), with no indication that I might not have enough 'points' to choose it.

The subreddit is wild. Not saying this game is perfect but every other post is some essay on why the game sucks.

The world is nowhere as detailed or interactive as RDR2 true but nothing I have played is even close.

HZD and Spider-Man have no interactivity at all for instance, the worlds are just empty veneers even conpared to Ubisoft games but I can't remember people going crazy and writing a thesis about it.

Just too much hype I guess.

These are all absolutely valid points from what I've seen so far! Well said. Although I've found this game has a lot of heart in some of the side quests.
I sincerely hope so, because from exploring the starting district for a few hours, this is the game in a nutshell:
VUSYWIp.jpg

If you imagine a woman to the left of this scene shouting 'fuck off' at you, while the child tells you to mind your own business, and then you stumble into a couple vomiting in the streets, and a draped corps between trackbags, while all - and I mean ALL of the advertising is cynical as hell. And all of it is GTAV as well, because the team lead sad it had to be.

This is not so much Cyberpunk, as its is someones horrowshow simulator.

Oh, and make it colourful! People like high contrast images!

The AI is just shit, police popping out of nowhere and NPC's have no soul (nothing useful to say, and act like they have 10 lines of code). Objects in the game have this grainy look to them, no fkn idea what that is. Im giving up playing this for now. This is just janky, there is no way this game is worth $60 in its current state (and i got my refund).

It needed maybe 6 more months to bake. People who were expecting this game to be anywhere close to RDR2 level, you;re in for a suprise, they're nowhere near each other. Witcher 3 gave me good vibes when i first played, this just feels unfinished.

Those side missions are something else. CDPR treating them like if they’re main missions and I love it! I haven’t touched the main story for a whole day and this alone is an indication for how great all the sides are.

I’ve been doing everything in Watson. I’m supposed to meet Dex but I’ve been putting it off 😎

It has waaaay better gameplay, mechanics, progression systems, enemy and playstyle variety, mission and encounter design than anything in Rockstar games. Also characters: CDPR puts more effort into non main story content. I also like that you really need a lot of money to progress ( get better guns, cars, implants, etc): in most open world games, money becomes completely useless early on. You actually feel rewarded for doing side missions or simple tasks.

This game is kind of a crossover between multiple popular IPs at the same time, lot of people ( for some reason) expected prominent features of their favorite games, all-in-one. Rockstar's animation polish and npc AI, Bethesda's character creator and object interactivity, Yakuza's side activities, dialogue options you find in Obsidian games, etc.
In some part, this is also CDPR's failure of poorly communicating with the audience.
My only real disappointment is with the games loot system/itemization: you'd think after all the criticism they received on it from Witcher they would've learned their lesson.

Game is really really dope

reminds me a lot of classic 16 bit RPGs for some reason

the endless bitching about meaningless stuff is getting annoying. yeah npcs only have a line or two LiKe EVERY OThER GAME MADE??? tell me know many lines you get out of a RDR or Spider-Man NPC. jfc. I’m sorry at any point during pre release did they promise deep interaction with every NPC? Cos I don’t remember that at all. Where is that expectation coming from.?

Feels like people invented some Uber Game in their minds and are mad that the game didn’t fit their fantasy. Nothing worse than an entitled gamer who demands the world even when it isn’t being sold to them in the first place.

Hearing so many horror stories that I don't know if I should purchase it.
I want it so much, though!
Would I be fine with a GTX 1080 and 7700K @1080p gsync?

Ok. It was much earlier in the game and at the time I didn't realize there was a engineering icon next to it. So it wasn't like I thought, just have to upgrade to Level 6 to give him the advice. My bad. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

I’m literally doing everything everywhere with no fast travels no matter the distance. This game looks unreal even without RTX! TW3 side quests were amazing too so CDPR proved once again that they know how to do them. Once all those bugs gets squished, the game will be even more better
